Nice day. My mentor once told me that sunny, late mornings are the best time to look, because once it gets real hot, they head back under.
Very hot days they don’t need much time in the sun so you have to it perfectly when they are out but when it’s cooler yet they are still out

Pennsylvania rattlesnakes are like pets because they’ve been caught and measured so many times that human smells and human handling means nothing, no danger. These snakes have basically been tamed overtime causing the snakes to evolve into just pets.

I know where you guys are at and I went hiking up there back in may and was definitely keeping my eyes peeled. You guys wearing gaiters or snake boots?
Typically we just wear snake boots or any boots made of leather because snakes fangs cannot puncture it
Awesome video. I’ve never heard of someone catching that many copperheads in one day. You must have a good spot for them. The most I’ve ever caught in a day was three. I hunt snakes in Clinton county pa. Normally I do good with rattlers. Congrats and an awesome video

Yeah we Pennsylvania has view like this all over my best advice would be to hike portions of the Appalachian trail or just get out and walk your mountains.
