You guys handle them well and really appreciate these awesome creatures.
It’s nice to see these beautiful rattlers in our great state of Pa.
I personally have never killed any snakes.
Have always enjoyed them in the wild.
Thanks for taking us along.
Back in the 70’s, in PA, I used to skin snakes that I found dead on the road or what people killed. I got to go to a snake roundup I think at a place called Cherry Creek. I was fascinated! Prolly helped me become a biologist, growing up along Pine Creek and going to that snake event.
I lived in PA for a long time and didn't see many snakes (but I suppose I wasn't looking). Now I live out west and see them almost daily (but I am looking 😂). Wish I had looked more when I lived over there.
I would enjoy tagging along and learning. Interesting stuff . Thank you and stay safe !
Every Summer a few 40" + Rattlers pass thru my yard here in N.W.Pa. Hard to let my Boston wander the yard....
Yeah ? You wanna let me hunt one lol 😅
I didnt know this was a thing, until recently . I will be soakin up as much knowledge on this as i can . Hope to try this out
I’ve had over 20-30 snakes off n on since I was 9 years old. I’m 33 now and currently raising a 2 year old Retic. I would love to find some Timbers but don’t know the trails in Pa
You guys have an actual "season"? Out here in our country they get dead as soon as we see em., no licence required!
Pennsylvania makes you pay for everything.
I find a few every year in Pike Co, over by Shohola and Lacawaxen. The’re always cool to find.
Great video fellas!
Thanks! Let's link up and do some snake hunting some time!
@@pawild hell yeah! Always down for that hit us up and we can pick a day
Super cool to watch. Grew up around rattlers copperheads my brother and I used to catch them for fun.
Yay! Where is day two
@@valeriedrozd6639 there is another rattlesnake video that was posted after this one maybe that’s day two
This is my dream to go out and do this great content
We have some big ones here in South Georgia
I hope to go find these in PA sometime . Plus copperheads too. Cool looking snakes and you ever go to Kent CT looking there? Supposed to be good for rattlers but unsure if your allowed to take any.
I never found or encountered a poisonous snake yet but moved to MAINE 30 yrs ago and MAINE no longer has rattlesnakes or copperheads or any poisonous snakes.Nice video!!
Didn’t realize there were that many in Penn. Timbers?
Yep, Timbers!
Where you guys at? What county
Just keep playing until it turns like lightning on you and gets your hand or arm
About 6 minutes in...is that a black racer or a black rat snake?
410 shotgun works great on them
So does a 20 gauge, 12 Gauge, .22, a hoe, vehicle tire, tractor tire, and the one I’ve had to use the most……..a rock.
Calms them right down!
I was there guys. From Birmingham England..thanks for great day. I’m back in 2025. Noxen.
What a really cool thing never even thought of this. We’re about to start our lobster season on the West Coast the difference between an a black and yellow one you guys eat them or do you guys? What do you do with him if you keep them is like my question. Fascinating.
You can keep 1 male per year if it's over 42 inches. We didn't keep one this year but you can eat them. They taste a lot like lobster 😂
Pretty cool you just got yourself a subscriber. If you’re interested, I do the same kind of thing but in the ocean I think I’m pretty entertaining but I’ll let you judge. Nice to meet you.
@@seawolf1330 thanks for the sub!
Hello, I,m not an anti anything hunting, shooting or trapping, but I,m in the woods year around and I don,t believe the rattlesnake population is worthy of killing too many. I know of established den,s and my eyes tell me this, it takes a female up to 7 yrs. to produce a good offspring batch.
Why do you not milk them as I guess the proper people would love it for anti venom. Or am I wrong?
Would a bite from that be worse than a water moccasin? I got nailed from a baby copperhead when I was about 15 raking leaves.I had to get 6 vials,it sucked
I hope to never find out haha
@@pawild me too, lol. I'd say similar. They still use all the same anti-venom in the USA right? well except for the coral snake.
