I recently watched a YT video of someone who was bitten by a rattlesnake while hiking. After barely surviving the encounter, he bought a pair of snake boots and regretted not doing so earlier. They weren't even that expensive.
The hospital bill would have ruined him if a charity organization hadn't covered the costs.
