dude, i simply stumbled upon your channel, forgive me for not knowing about your channel before, i really like what ive seen thus far. you sire have gained a new sub. granted its only me. love your attitude, and your personability.
Hm, my number 1 bag is my daughter's old schoolbag. It looks like a backpack, but has the carry system of a large hiking bag (and is height-adjustable). I has simply useful organization. The downside: The fabric, albeit hard-wearing nylon, is checkered in white-lightblue-orange. So you stick out with that. I really thought about whether I want to wear it, but it was too expensive to throw it out (we are talking about 250 €). In the end, it was just a matter of a thorough cleanup and some little bit of repair. Glad I did it. It is really great for groceries, swimming competition support, in short: every time you need to carry a ton.
I got an obsession also thay begun earlier this year watching your videos. My work edc is the Gr1 21L. I could just toss it around and not worry. My edc weekend bag is the vertex ready pack 2.0. My going to the beach, park, hiking pack is the mystery ranch 2 day assault pack. My personal carry on pack when im traveling with roll on luggage is the alpha one niner evade 1.5 full. My one bag travel is the 34L Gr2. I also have the AER travel pack 2 and the AER daypack. But the gr1 and gr2 overshadows those bags. Dont need much organization for my carry because i organize in pouches.Thank u for the reviews. I wont be getting any new bags anytime soon coz my wife will kill me even tho im day dreaming of able carry and evergoods cpl.
My wife is starting to look at me funny too. She thinks you should make a video about where/how you store your bags. I was using the 5.11 AMP 24 for about a year, nice and comfy, but it became a little too uncomfortable with larger and heavier loads. I really liked the gear sets: the admin gear set, the 9X9 Utility gear set, and the helmet shove it gear set. I recently purchased the Mystery Ranch 3 Day Assault, thank you for the video about it. I’m still trying to figure out what to put where, but that’s where half the fun is. I’m glad I found your channel, because I thought I was weird for liking backpacks so much! Keep up the great work my man!
I recently got a Recycled Firefighter 24 hour and I absolutely love it. I have the Velcro frame sheet insert which gives it that little bit extra functionality. I really appreciate the low profile nature of the pack and its durability. I feel like I can ruck around in the woods with it one day and go to the office with it the next. Great video George; I'm always looking forward to your content. Keep it up!
hey George great vid ..what a beautiful family ..even your dog is awesome ...hey i know you are not big on NorthFace but you know how its all about the details ..one of the buckles is also an emergency whistle ..just thinking worth a look for us on a lower budget thanks for everything ...you are great
I had a serg 2 for a while and love it ..I just picked a vault on super sale for 25 bucks Canadian (probs 15 US) in a crazy orange ..great quality...hard to get the high end bags like goruck in Canada..the shipping doubles the price ...much northern love to you buddy
I’m addicted to your videos. You’ve got great production value and are very entertaining while I also appreciate the level of detail you provide. I’m enjoying your reviews of bags I have and/or know about, and you’ve opened my eyes to some bags that look great that I didn’t know about. I appreciate the different intros you do and they’re always entertaining. And I like how you incorporate your family. You’re gonna go far man. Keep killing it.
Great video George! I think the Max is at the top of my list as well. Wondering if you have handled the Aer Travel Pack 2 Small or Heimplanet Transit 28? Cheers!
Would love to see your take on the Camelbak HAWG. Possibly a cheaper GR1 alternative? Love the videos! I keep going back to my Gregory Peary backpack. Almost no reviews on it but it's simple, well made, and it has everything I need.
Just bought the Able Carry Max a few days ago and I’m still deciding if I want to keep it. Top contender was either A19’s Pathfinder or their Evade 1.5 but they’re harder to get ahold of right now. I was surprised A19 didn’t make your top 5, but they’re also damn heavy, so there’s that… Thanks so much for your excellent reviews on so many packs! They’ve been really helpful!
That's weird. I'm also right-handed, but I always flip the backpack to my left side. It just feels smoother and leaves my right hand with a free range of motion.
Same. Need to have the dominant right hand free for Heisman stiff arm shenanigans or the far less likely draw down. Or... even just to find/pick-up a $20. New sub my brother. Thank you for your great work!
Great yearly review, George. I don’t have a “collection” to pull a top 5 from, but I do have a top 5 packs I’ve been eyeballing for quite some time. 1) Mission Workshop Rhake 2) Evergoods CPL 24 V2 3) Goruck GR1 - USA (or slick - didn’t know this existed until you talked about it) 4) Tom Bihn Synik 22 5) Bellroy - Transit/Shift/Apex 6) Black Ember Shadow - just found this one, looks pretty nice I’ll need to mortgage my home to purchase all of these. Hey, a guy can dream.
My EDC is the vertx gamut 2.0 in multicam black! I love it! I also have a Oakley back pack but I can’t remember for the life of me what it’s called but I usually pack that one when I take like a 3 day road trip!
Ive been on a mission to find the perfect clamshell stealth camera bag and travel bag. I already have an amazing Wandrd camera cube so clamshell i key. I initially bought the GR1 and just wasnt quite sold on it. It is tough but it was missing the elegance put into Peak, Wandrd, Evergoods, ect. The Able carry is now on my radar....it just looks like the perfect blend of strong materials with a little bit of class. Im a fulltime firefighter and we dont even use bags with 1000 cordura and Im not sure its truly necessary. The lockable zipper makes this a real contender. Edit: the black is sold out 😩
It would be much better if you would put a filler like a down sleeping bag or something in these bags so we can see there true size and shape! Thanks for the great video's!
I just bought my 4th pack but my wife doesn't know. Hahaha.aybe she will let me have 5 too. I carry the pakt backpack and the vertex gamut bag. Love them both and switch off every few weeks. I also have the cotopaxi 30 liter for travel. That one goes on all my mission trips. I don't like the hip straps though but I haven't cut them off yet. Can't bring myself to damage the integrity of the bag.
Great reviews George! I recommend you do a review on the Mountain Hardwear Folsom 20 or 28L, that’s a sweet pack! And then my small ultralight EDC is the Timbuk2 Rapid 14L pack
The Mountain Hardware Grotto 30 is an epic backpack while on the topic of MH. The back panel amd straps are so incredibly comfortable under load amd a bit of genius design work. It's part of my collection in DMC X-pac.
Have you checked out the Fjallraven Raven 28L? In regards to a more traditional styled laptop bag, I think it is absolutely one of the most capable EDC bags out there.
I have both the Fjallraven Raven 28 and the the Able Carry Max. On a recent trip, I brought both. Both good for travel and EDC. For me, anything 25L and above seems to be my sweet spot.
Hi. From your more international audience here, what do you think of the Osprey Arcane Large Day (new version). It's one of the few Osprey products that is minimal and not outdoorish at all.
Thanks for all the reviews bro! I love your insight and opinions and the comment about only having 5 bags or your wife will kill you 😂🤣 There's a lot worse things to have a passion for / addiction to! My EDC is timbuk2 tactical technical roll top and loving it so far. Peace and love
I think the packs you like are too big forme i like small packs for edc like my mystery ranch urban assault and my direct action dragon egg. I am looking for a replacement for my dragon egg though because its hard to get stuff out of the main compartment and the internal pockets are tearing.
My main EDC is the Mountain Hardwear Folsom 20 and then I have a smaller lightweight EDC pack called the Timbuk2 Rapid 14L. Both are worth checking out!
It's sits very high. I think it's a tie with the Able Carry Pack I carry the Evade when I'm running a lighter load. When I carry my camera I will run the Max.
dude, i simply stumbled upon your channel, forgive me for not knowing about your channel before, i really like what ive seen thus far. you sire have gained a new sub. granted its only me. love your attitude, and your personability.

Ditto today!!

Yes, clamshell (or at least 3/4 clamshell) - 100 % with you there. You really miss it if you don't have it...

ABLE CARRY is coming for people's pockets!! These well-known companies need to watch out!

That is awesome!
Waiting for Irene to comment "WHAT!? 350 FROM POLAND!?"
hey George great vid ..what a beautiful family ..even your dog is awesome ...hey i know you are not big on NorthFace but you know how its all about the details ..one of the buckles is also an emergency whistle ..just thinking worth a look for us on a lower budget
thanks for everything ...you are great
I love North Face. I started reviewing all of their bags. The quality of the last couple bags I reviewed wasn't great. What pack are you looking at?
I had a serg 2 for a while and love it ..I just picked a vault on super sale for 25 bucks Canadian (probs 15 US) in a crazy orange ..great quality...hard to get the high end bags like goruck in Canada..the shipping doubles the price ...much northern love to you buddy
Always give your vids a like before watching. Great stuff man
I appreciate that!
Love your videos man, keep up the good work!
Oh man... I thought I could just skip the Able Carry Max and go straight to the Evergoods bag, but your video has me questioning things...
I’m addicted to your videos. You’ve got great production value and are very entertaining while I also appreciate the level of detail you provide.

Thanks for the compliment.. My family is really what defines me.. not the gear.. Be safe
Hahah. I love that you included your family Bro. 👍🏽 So awesome Man. Keep gaming with her man.... Hell yeah!

I’m broke so my everyday carry pack is a first tactical half day specialists in coyote brown, Love your channel!
I have the same pack in black. First Tactical, represent!!!
That opening was fire!
Great video George! I think the Max is at the top of my list as well. Wondering if you have handled the Aer Travel Pack 2 Small or Heimplanet Transit 28? Cheers!
Nope.. I need to check those out..
Great video George. I have been a 5.11 bag fan for ages now. But I finally just bought a Goruck. Hope it is good one.
Great review GD! I still got the coyote tan/black Greenroom 136 rainmaker pack that you customized. Ill forever be in love wit it!
Would love to see your take on the Camelbak HAWG. Possibly a cheaper GR1 alternative? Love the videos! I keep going back to my Gregory Peary backpack. Almost no reviews on it but it's simple, well made, and it has everything I need.

This was just the best bags for you 2020
Your video quality is impeccable!
Big fan of the CPL28. Love its simplicity.
I loved the Field Day comment, I know that feeling very well!
Amazing video again, bro! But let me ask you one question: are you gonna try the Triple Aught Design's Fast Pack Litespeed or EDC or, maybe, Axiom 24?
Axiom 24 would be great!
I would love to review them but they show me no love.. So I have to save up for that one.
😥
Great color on that Able Carry.
They are all huge... Not what I would call edc packs, but great video bro.
Never been crazy about a roll top but that Mixed Works Falcon is niiice.
That's weird. I'm also right-handed, but I always flip the backpack to my left side. It just feels smoother and leaves my right hand with a free range of motion.
Interesting.. See ya
Same. Need to have the dominant right hand free for Heisman stiff arm shenanigans or the far less likely draw down. Or... even just to find/pick-up a $20. New sub my brother. Thank you for your great work!
That able carry is 🔥
Great yearly review, George. I don’t have a “collection” to pull a top 5 from, but I do have a top 5 packs I’ve been eyeballing for quite some time.
1) Mission Workshop Rhake

5) Bellroy - Transit/Shift/Apex
6) Black Ember Shadow - just found this one, looks pretty nice
I’ll need to mortgage my home to purchase all of these. Hey, a guy can dream.
That Shadow pack looks sick!
My main EDC is the Vanquest Katara 16, awesome little pack. Also have the Vanquest Addax 25 as a diaper bag/EDC. Love the channel man, keep it up!
Very nice! I had the Katara for a while and sold it because it was a little too small all the time. But it was super solid.
Love your reviews thanks for the great work!
I love this channel so much. I have to lay off getting more packs for a bit but damn I’m gonna get one of these. I edc an Eberlestock F5 Switchblade.
That's a great one..
Thank you for the reviews🙏🏻
Subscribed. Love the videos!
My EDC is the vertx gamut 2.0 in multicam black! I love it! I also have a Oakley back pack but I can’t remember for the life of me what it’s called but I usually pack that one when I take like a 3 day road trip!
Sweet!

I would wait if you really like it.. I think it would be a good camera bag..
Vertx gamut 2.0 for me with premier armor. I do like the mystery ranch. Great video thanks.
Good choice!
It would be much better if you would put a filler like a down sleeping bag or something in these bags so we can see there true size and shape! Thanks for the great video's!
If you check the regular reviews I have them loaded up...
Great video. I was hoping for a surprise though! For me it’s the fjallraven raven 20, too small for you but its all about the g1000
Hadn't heard of Mystery Ranch before. It's different. Appreciate the review!
I just bought my 4th pack but my wife doesn't know. Hahaha.aybe she will let me have 5 too. I carry the pakt backpack and the vertex gamut bag. Love them both and switch off every few weeks. My mom use to leave the stuff she bought in the car so my Dad wouldn't know.. lol Just a suggestion..
Great reviews George! I recommend you do a review on the Mountain Hardwear Folsom 20 or 28L, that’s a sweet pack! And then my small ultralight EDC is the Timbuk2 Rapid 14L pack
I'll check it out!
The Mountain Hardware Grotto 30 is an epic backpack while on the topic of MH. The back panel amd straps are so incredibly comfortable under load amd a bit of genius design work. It's part of my collection in DMC X-pac.
Thanks for another video man. 👍🏻
Love your videos George. Why is the alpha one niner evade 1.5 not in your top 5? I know you were a big fan of that pack.
This is just the packs I reviewed this year. I reviewed the Evade in 2019. I still love that pack.
Those are some big EDC bags, Im looking for a single sling bag for EDC. Great reviews brother love your channel keep it up!
I hear good things about Chrome Kadet sling..
@@GeorgeDEFINED I will check them out , thanks!
Great video, have you ever tried Hill People Gear or Eberlestock bags? I like the Hill people gear Umlindi
ua-cam.com/video/3GljRXC2Tpg/v-deo.html I haven't checked out Hill People Gear for EDC.. They seem really focused on hiking. What are your thoughts?
@@GeorgeDEFINED yes they are mostly for hiking. I have had my bag for some time a it is well made and I like it for edc.
Have you checked out the Fjallraven Raven 28L? In regards to a more traditional styled laptop bag, I think it is absolutely one of the most capable EDC bags out there.
yep.. It's awesome.. I didn't do a review but I was impressed
@@GeorgeDEFINED especially for the price, I snagged mine for $80 on amazon.
It's cool but if I remember correctly it doesn't have a lapt sleeve.. deal killer for me.
@@GeorgeDEFINED it does but it's inside the main compartment. Not sure how access to other stuff might be compromised
WE LOVE IRENE!!!!!!!
GR1 Slick deserved that No.1 spot.
GR1 is great.. I would love to see them fix that front pocket.
New subscriber here, safe to say i share the same backpack obsession 👏🏽 keep up the great vids!
Thank for the sub..
If the able carry had the interior of the Evade 1.5 it would 🔥🔥
Okay.. You like the hook and loop/ PALS interior.. I like that as well.
One of life’s most important questions to answer
Thanks for all the reviews bro!
I love your insight and opinions and the comment about only having 5 bags or your wife will kill you 😂🤣
There's a lot worse things to have a passion for / addiction to!
My EDC is timbuk2 tactical technical roll top and loving it so far.

The make the Mixed Falcon in a Small and GoRuck has a 21L Slick version
Another great video. BUT MAXPEDITION DIDNT MAKE THE CUT. LOL
Next time! lol
What would you recommend for an EDC between the Alpha One Niner Evade 1.5 and the Evergoods CPL 24 V2?
Evade everyday of the week.
Nice bag sir
How about the top 5 under 20 L
Great idea!
Okay let me work on that list. Can I do 21L so I can do the Goruck Slick again? lol
@@GeorgeDEFINED sure why not
My main EDC is the Mountain Hardwear Folsom 20 and then I have a smaller lightweight EDC pack called the Timbuk2 Rapid 14L. Both are worth checking out!
Where does the alpha one Niner evade 1.5 still stack on your list??
It's sits very high. I think it's a tie with the Able Carry Pack I carry the Evade when I'm running a lighter load. When I carry my camera I will run the Max.
Just under 4lbs on the ones 26
We're going to need to have Irene eyeroll you in every video.
How did the air evade 1.5 not make it :(
These are just packs I reviewed in 2020.. overall still very high on my list.
Bo2❤️
What do you got for gym backpack?
Right now.. I'm on the home work out plan.. lol but I like the BAD duffel bags..
Irene is soo pretty
Bonjour super 👍
