George my man, thanks for the reviews! I was looking for a bag to do EDC and bring to the office, plus one day travel for weekend trips. I've probably watched all of your videos over the last year, and decided on the Able Carry Max. Absolutely love it, thanks for doing the review and providing so much good info on so many packs! ✌️
I love Recycled Firefighter packs. In the height of 'rona I got my 14 y/o son the 24 hour plus pack because he had to bring home ALL his school stuff (books, laptop, calculator, headphones, etc.) everyday. The pack is kid proof. I also like the gray color option as it doesn't look tactical.
You’re perhaps one of the best reviewers! Fantastic job. You’re excellent and covering everything quickly but thoroughly. You show the features of the product well which is lacking with many reviewers. I really enjoy your style… concise and to the point!👌👏👏
Eyegor: "He said a dirty word!" LMAO!!! Neither my day job or night job require me to take stuff to or from, but if i had to use a bag it would be my, Blackhawk 3 Day Assault Pack that i bought new in 1985 after I got out of the Corps. It's made to military specs but looks like a everyday run of the mill backpack, no MOLLE or PALS Webbing(wasn't a thing in 1985). It does have a couple of negatives, no back venting, sternum strap, admin section or eyeglass/sunglass/wallet/cellphone pocket, which were addressed by the version 2.0 that you reviewed. Your video list of edc bags was right on point as usual. Thanks for sharing. One.
For some reason I cannot physically comment on you Ctactical 15L review. I love the bag and that it is so custmizable with molle attachments. Great review like always.
My #1 carry are the vibe series from Pacsafe. Of you have experienced your bag getting slashed while travelling you will know the importance of having the security for your stuffs in your bag.
Thank you for selecting different types of bags for your video. Sometimes peoples top 5 are almost carbon copy bags but you picked such a great top 5 for different situations.
George, love that the Checkpoint made your top 6 EDC pack list. All Kifaru packs are 100% made in the USA (Colorado) and the quality will last you a lifetime, buy once cry once!
George, I've been carrying my GORUCK 0 (discontinued) for about 7 years. I'm a pack person who's probably had over 50 packs in my 74 years... this pack was the end-all. Best pack ever made. I also have one of their military-style duffle bags that goes to the gym with me everyday... their stuff is the best. Love your channel and reviews dude...
Thanks for the great video GD! I still have the Greenroom 136 Rainmaker you customized and people recognize it was the one featured in your videos! That tan and black on the pack is legitimately the best combination for that pack by far! Keep up the good work and love seeing your channel grow!
I've owned and currently own several packs on this list. The Able Carry Max is my current EDC. It's underrated and it's hands down, one of the best EDC packs on the market. Could it be improved, absolutely, but it's also good the way it is. There's no bag on the market that uses multiple materials while still building a top-notch pack! Great review as usual!
Gosh, I love your reviews!! I know this video was for EDC. My challenge is finding a travel pack that is no more than 18.5” long (19” if I push it) that can get me through a three to 4-day trip. Short torso gal, 5’’6” tall. I like a clean aesthetic, functional, comfortable harness system, carry on compliant. My Evergoods CPL24 V2, Tom Bihn Synapse 19, Synik 22 and Brown Buffalo Conceal 19 are too tight. Is Goruck the way to go? If yes, would you start with the Goruck GR1 21L (18” long), Goruck Slick 21L (Huckberry only offering 1000D version, also 18”) or Goruck GR2 26L (18” long. Of course, they’re out of it. I do get a small discount as I’m in law enforcement). I guess my other option is Recycled Firefighter. I like a great warrantee. What say you? Or feel free to rec something else (P.S. I only wear black. Don’t want a gazillion straps hanging loose, NYC urban. Don’t say Goruck Heritage. Love that they added a top compartment. Not a fan of leather and doesn’t come in black!). Many thanks for your wisdom.
Great video as always. Funny story, I started rucking to give my knees a break from running. I bought a 20lb plate and popped it into my GR1 that I normally use as my EDC when I bike around (heavy bike lock, groceries, etc). I started light, just a mile or two a day and dear lord my shoudlers hurt like hell. I couldn't believe how uncomfortable the bag is for rucking. I mean, it's *designed* for rucking, how is it so painful to ruck in. OK, I'm recovering from some nerve damage in the neck so maybe that's it. I break out my $60 REI pack i use for longer bike rides, drop the plate in there and it felt amazing. Did a 5 mile walk today with almost zero pain. Probably gonna sell my GR1 now so if anyone wants it, reply here.
Great lineup, George. I think the Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 24 is a pretty good bag that checks in a bit lower in price than some of your top 6. It has a bit more organization than something like the GR1. I think the main downside is that some of the sections aren't independent. So if you put a water bottle in the exterior pocket, it eats into your interior volume.
I really love your videos, buddy. The fact that you are more or less exactly my size helps a lot. Its just a pity many companies you feature have no distributors in Europe, making the packs an addition plus about 50 for shipping plus 19% impottax for item plus shipping combined.... however, keep on your great work, man
Hi George, well done 👍+ Just for completing your review, I'm still favorizing my VertX Gamut 2.0 and I've added the VertX Sling bag. A great combination of an EdC backpack with an very useful small EdC grab handle bag! Again thanks for your intentions and kind regards!
Hey George, thanks for your videos. Have been looking for the perfect pack for forever and just learned about the whole EDC community. Found your channel super helpful and just ordered my first GR1!!
I’m still rocking the Vanquest Katara 16. Perfect EDC pack. So much organization and fits exactly what I need. A little small but on 95% of days it’s not an issue. Great video George!
Would love to see you do an updated version! You're so honest. I love that! You always steer me right (even though I am half the size of you: 5'6" and 17" torso). Maybe you could do a version and pick out packs for your wife (I think she's shorter).
Love my A19 Evade 1.5 Full. All the extra built in organization really makes it for me. Your review definitely helped a lot when I was looking at one, so thanks!
Gosh, I love your reviews! If you had to choose between Huckleberry Slick GR1 21L (in 1000D Cordura. They don’t offer 500 right now). The regular GR1 21L or the GR2 26L (which is 18” long). I am female, 5’6” with a short torso…I am looking for travel backpack that hits my sweet spot - 18.5” (I’ll try 19 but can

Fantastic review George. Too bad some of the backpacks you show are hard to get in Europe. Anyway it's a pleasure to see you, your mix of humor and didactics is the best. In my case I am in love with the Mystery Ranch, their harnesses are very comfortable, much more than the GoRUCK whose price I find excessive. Greetings from Spain
I’d love to see you review the REI trail 40. It may not be the perfect EDC bag but it does so many things well. I’m very minimalist so at first seeing such a large bag you may be like “that’s not minimalist at all” but it is because you can have one bag that does so many things well. My main backpacking bag is a granite gear crown2 60 but I wanted a smaller bag for day hikes or short backpacking trips, wildlife photography, bushcraft, edc, travel, etc. I’m not a climber but I know some people use this as a climbing or crag bag. I borrowed my brothers a couple years ago while he was in basic and I was sad to let it go when he came back. They updated it for 2020 and I’m buying one tomorrow on my way to work. I’ve been looking at other bags from mystery ranch and north face, among others, and I just haven’t found one that I think will serve me as well as that bag, especially when you consider the price.
Great list! Here is my list - largely built from your reviews: 1) A19 Pathfinder 2) TAD Litespeed 3) GR1 26L x C Guerilla 4) A19 Evade Stealth Cobra 5) Trakke Bannoch 6) TNF Router Transit On their way to me to try out: Evergoods CPL28 (Blue) Evergoods CPL24xC Phoenix

But I was just thinking….Whatbif you made like little movie skits. like you was coming from combat mode all over the floor, running, Throwing the bag around, to going outdoors, then out with homies while introducing a Manbag/EDC/everything a man bag should be…. You can do one for every bagpack… Just a thought
I would say my Mystery Ranch Carryology Assault is the perfect size for my edc. I think it’s about 24L with plenty of organization on the side pockets. I’ve been buying most of Carryology collabs (Unicorn, Dragon, Guerilla) and I use the Unicorn for edc, Dragon 27L for hiking, and Guerilla26L for travel. I also have the Evergoods MPL v.2 that has turned into my bug out bag, as it is the most nondescript has the most space and is very comfortable for a long walk.
Good stuff George. I’m currently using the GR1 Heritage as my primary but have the 26L 500 d on order. Can’t wait. I have too many bags but always come home to GoRuck.
A lot of the “US-brands” like Evergoods are imported and available in the EU through mukama.com (sent from Finland, so no import-costs) I recently purchased the Evergoods 2L Civic Access Pouch from them. It was like €10,- shipping costs to the Netherlands.

Will you please check out ascentials pro meta backpack??? No one has reviewed it on UA-cam and it looks like a good bag. Would love to know more about it
I was hoping the rip ruck or the 2 day assault would make it! I just got the rip ruck 15L from mystery ranch. Its really an incredible pack! I'm also considering the assault pack but my budget can't justify it right now. I notice that the zippers on most of these packs open all the way. Im really not much of a fan that as much. The go ruck looks incredible but that price is so hard to swallow for such a simple pack but maybe I'd have to see it to believe it.
I have the RR 15L, Urban Assault and 2 day Assault. The RR 15L is easily my favorite EDC. The Urban Assault is my suitcase and travel replacement and the 2DAP is my camping pack.
George my man, thanks for the reviews! I was looking for a bag to do EDC and bring to the office, plus one day travel for weekend trips. George would you please review Mountain Hardware Camp 4. 28 liter. It's a top 10 for sure :)
I'll try..
@@GeorgeDEFINED Thank you :)
G.O.A.T. Cannae Legion 21L FTW!
Eric B and Rakim chilling in the back.
I'm surprised about the pathfinder not being here. I wonder why?
Great bag.. Just not in my top 5
Love the videos.. keep them coming. But top 6, Nope.. Lol.
I’m loving my GORUCK GRXC1
I’m still rocking my 5.11 amp12 modular and affordable.
How was the AMP12? Do you think it will look big for a 5'6 feet like me? Thanks?!
What’s the name of the Camelbak in the beginning of the video?
Great video 👏
