Sorry again to call out some mistakes but the pack actually only weighs 3.95 lbs per Vanquest website. Also interestingly you have the first release of the Ibex 26 with the wider molle on the hip belt, the latest comes with the thin 10mm molle (check the pics of the black multicam version if you don't believe me). I've had this exact same black ibex 26 (sold) and now rocking the wolf grey latest version ibex 26
I appreciate it. I'm going pin this comment. On Vanquest's website there are two weights didn't even notice. The 5.5 is the shipped weight. Thanks for the correction 👍🏾Be safe ✌🏾

Awesome to see some Vanquest on here! Def in my top five fav bag/pack companies. Great attention to detail! Plus I like the heavier duty materials they use in the construction: what I would call "good weight" -- b/c the benefits (durability, life span, and countless features) outweigh the cons (heavier than the "ultra light" brands). Vanquest has pretty much nailed the perfect balance between military/outdoor toughness and civilian good looks. Their Envoy messenger bag is my favorite shoulder bag of all time, hands down.
I think you said it better than I ever could. I wish there was a physical store folks could go to to compare EDC packs. A lot of these popular companies would be out of business. Be Safe
Vanquest!!!! Been bugging you for a while! Thank you!!!! I got the new Addax 25 (urban series) and it’s awesome. Main compartment with hook and loop, large tech compartment for your laptop and iPad - also hook and loop, and two large front pockets, the top an admin/organizer pocket. The entire thing, high vis orange. Knowing you, you’d love it. (The bottom outside pocket has some internal pockets that fit mags)
Great review. I own the Markhor 45 and am tempted to get one of these Ibex 26s for single day trips. From what you demonstrate here, this (unsurprisingly) looks to have many of the same great features as the Markhor.
Great review. I went ahead and ordered one from Optics Planet. Best price I could find. Want to put my Precious in it when it gets here Monday :) Thanks friend!
Glad I found your channel, Im big into packs, tactical gear etc. Some of the channels Ive been watching seem to be geared more towards the militia types that don't look like you and I, get me? lol..but I like watching reviews before I purchase anything. Appreciate you my brotha, looking forward to more content, be safe out here in these streets.
This is my go to day hike pack & one of my favorites. Did edc it for a time and you definitely gave me some different ideas on how to utilize it, might set it up as a mini assault pack as well. Awesome video George!
I have the current IBEX 26 with the air MOLLE on the the hip belt. I attached my SAK German Army issue folding knife to it.This pack is perfect for day hiking as a scout leader. It is an absolute beast. And your dog seems to be having a blast!.
Great vid as usual. Somebody has been trying to get me to buy this pack, but it has the same problems as my Condor Solveig pack, can't stand up on its own, too heavy (molded back panel), and when you open the pack, if you have a lot of gear in the inside pockets on the back of the front side, when you open it after detaching the compression straps with the full zippers, it just kinda falls forward. Thanks for sharing. One.
Great review my friend! Over the years I’ve tried a Camelback Mule, 5.11 10 and 12, Maxpedition Remora and Fatboy, and Osprey Daylite and I always come back to my North Face Recon. The others just sit in my closet. Again great work!
Thank you George, for a very informative video. This bag isn't really my style but again, I always appreciate you laying it out clearly, so I can make informed purchasing decisions.
Dang it George. You beat me to it. I've been trying to get my hands on one of these to review on my channel. They're quite hard to get here in the UK. This is a really nice pack. You mentioned the adjustable suspension system on the larger version. Do you think the extra cost would justify adding that? I think it would be cool if Vanquest decided to have to versions of the pack (maybe on a limited colour selection) with the two differing suspension systems. Like all of your reviews buddy, this is another cracking piece of content. Stay safe and well ✌

Chris C this pack is GREAT. The side pockets are amazing, and the quality build is unmatched. Even little things like great zipper pulls and strap management organizers. Vanquest produces their products at the same factory as a lot of hipster bags like peak design, and Vanquest bags cost literally 5 times the manufacturing cost of the other bags, even though they sell for the same price, so Vanquest’s margins are a LOT lower. You literally are getting 5 times the quality of other bags

I always say that if you like products by Maxpedition, then you’ll love products by Vanquest. Thanks for another excellent review, George. You got a big-time winner there. By the way, my favorite product from this company is a tiny little bifold wallet that is RF ID blocking and minimally holds what I need to carry with me in a wallet. I have been using it for about three or four years now and it still looks pretty much like it did when it was brand new.
Okay, I'm going to check that I out I have a little wallet from Maxpedition That I have been using for years. It's time to replace it... Be Safe Nathan
Darrel to be honest man it's a tall pack I think it 23 inches tall.. I would guess the pack is going to sitting low. I would try if you want to be sure. Be safe
Haha, love the garage door scene. I heard the opening of “lose yourself” 😂 As far as the pack... it’s cool, just not an edc pack for me. These tactical-ish packs kind of annoy me with the overbuilt idea. A 26L pack does not need a hip belt and load lifters. It’s just silly, yet that all goes into the price.
I think that these packs are trying to achieve different things. The Evade is more gray-man/office while the IBEX is more tacticool and customizable. Both are great.. Be Safe
Honestly i was expecting a silly intro 😂 but still great content brother nice backpack even that i always be looking more for a go to work backpack with big water bottle pocket on the outside and good inside organization which i kind of got it with the maxpedition entity 19 but still looking for something not super huge or tactical looking but with those specifications on it since in my job am always on the go and i need to be prepared with edc needs food and hydration so just throw in it out there maybe as a recommendation or if you had already review something like that and let me know it will be cool to keep it up bro ✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾
Yeah and i really liked them and want a vertx backpack but it needs to have at at least one water pocket capable of holding at least a 40oz water bottle so i don’t have to put it inside and lost a lot of space and i’m not sure if they have something like that yet but thanks for the recommendation brother
Psalm 27:1 amzn.to/2WBX9St it's cheap 6 bucks.. It's about time the big guys had a say? I got tired of watching guys 5' 7"165 LBS telling me how great a pack was then you get it and your like WTF. Be Safe
Vanquest makes some tough gear. I’ve rocked one of their sling bags for a couple of years, beat the crapola out of it, no issues. I’d call it lifetime gear. Choose your color wisely because you’ll be stuck with it for a long time. lol
Your right! That's why I didn't go with the Multicam Black. I was like in two years will this still be hot? Black never goes out of style... lol Be Safe
JKC the high vis interiors of Vanquest are what set it apart for me. Once you have a high vis interior, you never go back. I have 3 Vanquest bags and I love them all
George my man! Another great video! I really appreciate you doing these reviews and the way in which you break things down and explain them. I also think that it's awesome that you're not afraid to display your faith in your faith in these videos (the moral patch w/ the bible verse) especially in a day and age where it isn't considered pc to do so. Qq you mentioned getting a military/police discount for the pack I was wondering if you are a veteran like myself? Either way I think you're a cool dude and will keep watching your vids, just stop making me so broke! Hahaha jk.
Nope I'm not a veteran but thank you for your service. My God, family and friends is what is most important in my life.. it defines me.. get it! Lol Be safe ✌🏾
I was between this and the vertx gamut checkpoint and I ultimately ended up with the vertx pack I just liked it a little more but it was about a month of looking at both of them before I finally chose! Your right! Some of this stuff could be cut away.. I think that's why alot people GORUCK.. Simple and to the point. Be Safe
What’s the weight without the hip belt? It is a little too heavy
There is added weight in the hip belt and for edc it makes it more cumbersome. Just a preference. Be Safe
Doesn't beat the Alpha One Niner right? Just got mine lol
I think that these packs are trying to achieve different things. The Evade is more gray-man/office while the IBEX is more tacticool and customizable. Both are great.. Be Safe
How about a review of a budget (less than $100) edc backpack?
Yes Sir.. I have an budget video on the way!
You might want to check out the Vertex line of bags their bags have a lot of functionality without the tactical look.
Yeah and i really liked them and want a vertx backpack but it needs to have at at least one water pocket capable of holding at least a 40oz water bottle so i don’t have to put it inside and lost a lot of space and i’m not sure if they have something like that yet but thanks for the recommendation brother
Hmm. I like it. There was allot of thought in this one.
Love the Bible Verse, love your reviews, especially as a man of larger size, it helps to see how the pack sits on your back.
Black never goes out of style... lol Be Safe
@@GeorgeDEFINED Same, stay safe out there George!
You do a great review. Sub.
Thanks Greg.. Be Safe ✌🏾
I like the design. I prefer the Arcteryx version (the Assault 30,45,60). I believe Arcteryx was the first to utilize this design.
JKC the high vis interiors of Vanquest are what set it apart for me. Once you have a high vis interior, you never go back. I have 3 Vanquest bags and I love them all
I prefer the same or higher quality as arcteryx for 1/3 of the price haha
I checked out a couple reviews on that pack.. It looks cool too.. Be Safe
This looks a lot like arcteryx leaf packs. I think they're called khard or assault.
Yep.. a couple of people have mentioned that.. Be Safe
Also I had a quick question I’m getting into cycling and hiking so what do you think would be a good pack for that?
I think the Osprey Tropos could do both.. It has a frame and it's designed for cycling. Be Safe
It's a trap! Yeah, I'd have to buy a few more pouches to fill it out. Love that V shape.
My only grief towards this pack is lacking admin panel and water bottle pockets... it would be a perfect pack for me otherwise
Alpha One Niner makes a great admin panel.. but I see your point.. Be Safe ✌🏾
Vanquest makes some good stuff but this is too big of a pack for EDC in my mind. I don't need a backpack for EDC as a small sling bag will do.
Yep.. I was like that for a while and it worked.. When I started carrying my laptop and camera more often I needed something bigger. Be Safe
Vanquest is the best of the best it's all I buy.
Dude you must be huge! The bag looks so tiny besides you
6 foot 265 not huge but not tiny like alot of reviewers.. lol
@@GeorgeDEFINED :D hard but true facts
Really not liking out the shape of this pack
I respect that... I got more on the way tho.. lol Be Safe
