All of this is due to the US lack of food regulations. In Brazil, the fries have 4 ingredients (And the one you buy frozen in the supermarket are exactly the same), the shakes are actual shakes and we actually have chicken in our nuggets (Also, the salad has less calories here for some reason). Apparently you can sell whatever poison you want in the US and nothing happens to you.

The obese people that eat it on regular bases, yes. The average person going in once or twice in. several weeks not so much. It's just a different variety of food.
Even the average, you know how much is spent only feeding the cows, to kill them and etc.. First you need more agriculture camps, more florests dying, then water that could be used in another priority activities. When they say global warming they always forget the insane amout of resources and water used to feed cows faster and faster just because of the "fast food" market. I don´t call this food at all. Restaurants and another places do the same but at least you get good food.

i once worked at a small, high-end burger joint run by two health nut ladies. grass fed beef, hand cut fries, produce from the local farmers market.. some of the best burgers and fries i ever had. i never got tired of the meals i had and i would make the same exact thing every time. miss that place, and it was literally over looking the ocean right across the street. It's no secret that McDonald's, along with just about any other fast food chain, is bad for you. It's up to the individual to decide for themselves if they want to indulge or not. As long as you are aware of the risks, then you have no one to blame but yourself for obesity, heart problems and other health issues associated with eating this kind of stuff regularly.

What if someone is vegetarian but they still put beef in fries or someone can't have beef due to religion
So lets see if I can sum this up:
-"Chemicals" are bad.
-A beef burger from McD's is somehow worse than those frozen supermarket patties in your 'homemade' burgers.
-Indoctrinating children is fine if it is for religion, music, sport teams, etc. but we draw the line when it comes to umm...burger brand loyalty(?)
-Artificial strawberry flavoring is fine in your cakes, chewing gum, candy and ice cream but not your milkshake.
