The Arch Deluxe was freakin' amazing. Their marketing campaign sucked - kids saying 'yuck' when they tried it because it's an 'adult' flavor.
I was in America back in 1996 when it was rolled out all across McDonald's Restaurants nationwide and it was never released in the UK where I am from originally. I ate several of them. It was an amazing burger that had potential to last longer but it was torpedoed by a lousy marketing campaign which basically ran it into landfill territory.

Yup, McSpaghetti is still available here in the Philippines! Actually, it became a better one now. It has more sauce and the sweet taste really improved. Here in our country, the Spaghetti is in Filipino style, which means the sauce used for the pasta is sweet.
I think that's why McSpaghetti is still alive and popular here in the Philippines, because it really matches our preferred taste. ^^

In Bulgaria we have the McToast (which is two buns pressed together with a ham and cheese filling). We have it for decades and people love it.
So basically a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. Pretty standard fare, not surprised that a fast food place dabbled in it.

I must have been strange, I was really fond of the McDLT. It was all I ordered at McDonalds during my High School and early college years (it was actually around quite awhile, came out about 1985 and ran through the early 1990's). In fact, since they did away with it, I really haven't eaten at McDonalds more than a handful of times, last one being like five years ago.
I loved it too. I pretty much quit eating there also. I took my kids for happy meals up untill they made them stop giving away good Happy meal toys. Then I stopped completely.

Well these people are idiots, because the reason why McDs got rid of the McDLT was because of pressure by people overly concerned about packaging. They tried to replace it with the Big & Nasty, but wasn't the same.
@@wendellsawyer4386 Plus, for those who do miss them so much, they could just tell the cashier that they want their lettuce, tomatoes and cheese on the side in a small salad container. A couple of people used to order their burgers like that at the one I used to work at.

Not really. The MCDLT was basically a pointless edition. Most people eat the burger right there, or just drive several minutes to their house. It was unnecessary to separate the burger.

the biggest mcfail i experienced was a regular menu item gone wrong. i ordered a filet 'o fish one time, and when i took a bite, there were 3 chicken nuggets in the burger instead of the fish.... 3...... 3 nuggets, nobody accidentally puts 3 nuggets in a fish burger, they had 2 extra hand movements to think about what they were doing, that shit was done intentionally.
I went to a McDonald's for breakfast once and they were completely out of ketchup. Oh well, that's what I get for going to a McD's in a ghetto part of town.

I was working at McD's when the McDLT debuted. We all tried it on the day it was introduced and figured it tasted like a Whopper. It was the first McD's burger with lettuce and tomatoes so it was actually groundbreaking for them. Hard to believe.. add lettuce and tomatoes to a burger and it's a new thing when every other burger joint was already doing it for decades.

Saw a comment that said it took to long to make and another that said the styrofoam was the problem. I can’t confirm or deny those or agree with you cause it was widely discontinued in most places by the time I was born.

it is called the mac arabia in Saudi Arabia and sells well. The McDLT is also still sold there.
The McDLT was actually awesome and the packaging made a big difference. I loved these as a teen and remember the hot patty combined with the cold lettuce, tomato, cheese and mayo was delicious.

There’s a McDonald’s in Orlando Florida that still serves pizza to this day granted it is a 3 story tall McDonald’s with an arcade and massive playground so they’re a bit extra.

Hot dogs are compiled of MINIMALLY: chicken, beef AND/OR pork. It says it RIGHT on the packaging. Unless you pay double and get ALL beef hot dogs. So even the processing manufacturers don't know what's in them. Ground beef however is all cow product... Beef. McDonald's will use fillers to hold the meat together but it is FAR from not knowing what the burgers contain. So, no. No irony. Just a stupid comment about how it's irony > _ >

If you actually saw and knew what was in ANY processed meat, you either have iron guts like me or would become a tofu chlorophyll-ivor. If you want to get a master class education, come to Germany and do a little work at a German butcher. NOBODY ON EARTH produces more types of sausages. Yes a hot dog is a sausage. So is salami and any other geometricly perfect meat in a deli. If you only knew. I still eat sausage, but it is slaughtered, and produced by my neighbor the master butcher. I know it's good stuff. Well...as good as sausage can possibly be anyways. You do know it is made from all the leftover scraps and parts after the muscle meat is cut out. Nutrition is a whole other ball game. It still tastes good though.

McDonald's in Japan still had McHotDogs when I was there in 2015, and they were on the breakfast menu!
The best thing I ever had at McDonald's in Japan, though, was a limited-time special back in the spring of 2006: the Sweet Chili Ebi Filet-O. It was a fried, breaded shrimp patty on a bun, with a sweet, spicy chili sauce. SO GOOD! We never got this back home in California, though the sweet chili sauce did eventually become available (for McNuggets etc.) for a while.

i did also, but people are right though if you could have them tossed in buffalo bbq or whatever that would have made a huge difference than plain fried chicken, the chicken itself was good quality too. but yeah I've got to give respect for mc d's because i don't know any other fast food chains that sell wings, i think kfc did for a little while, and i live right next to a sheets gas station that has a fast food menu with wings that are pretty good but i don't think they have them anymore either. in reality though screw the fast food places i'll just get the traditional hot wings from pizza hut and be happy, we have a ginos that has wings but they look/taste like they came out of a Chinese slaughterhouse.

The McDLT was the best thing they ever invented. The concept worked because it actually DID make the burger taste crisp and FRESH. I never been a fan of McDonald's food -- but I loved THAT sandwich.

Yep...I remember the McHotdogs. They were rolled out in the UK back in 2001 or so and they were quite good. Still though, it was a bit strange to go to McDonald's to get hot dogs. Same went for McDonald's Pizza back in the early 90's, it washed up on our shores as well. The pizza was good but it took too long to prepare and I was waiting nearly half an hour for my pizza every time.

I had the pizza and pasta in Orlando Florida in 2018, it was delicious! The difference is you can customize it at the kiosk and create whatever you want. Plus it's the largest McDonald's in the world!

Teejay 12 yeah, I've heard some of the criticisms of them. I don't eat McDonald's, and by the time they were released, I was already a vegetarian, but I had a friend that worked at McDonald's at the time.

also, the pizza not only took a while to get from mcdonalds (despite the use of special steam ovens) the ovens also required a great deal of space and widening of the drive through windows. they were also quite expensive for what they were, compared to the relatively cheap options youd find at McDs. if you wanted food the price of a pizza, not that it was bad from McDs, but there were better options
I loved the McDLT. It actually was a decent burger, even though it was basically just the quarter pounder patty and bun at its' core.

The problem was the cheese was on the cool side and did not melt. Needed to be on the hot side. Cold cheese sucks on a hot burger.

Breakfast bagel sandwiches were friggin delicious. I worked there in 1999 and served them then - ate one every day. Your choice of bagel, folded egg, choice of breakfast meat, yummy mystery sauce and cheese. Sooooo good.
I loved the Pizza. Did suck having to wait for it, but it was good. What was funny is that they didn't think about the size of the box... there were a lot of McDonald's locations where it didn't fit thru the drive-thru window. Anyways, if the wait time killed it maybe it would work better today now that you can pre-order with an app and then go pick it up... or delivered. Hmmm?

Only reason McSpaghetti is still served in the Philippines is b/c they need it to keep up w/ Jollibee's (Filipino fast food) extensive menu. Both even serve fried chicken meals like KFC.

I wish most of these were still on the menu. It's funny how the spaghetti looks exactly like Jolibee's spaghetti (minus the hot dog chunks) which is now very successful. And I remember getting the McPizza as a kid, obviously not the best, but being a small & cheap option, there was a time and place for it. I hope some of these items make a comeback.

vegemite I live in the United States and the McDonalds that I go to doesn't have it on the menu. Maybe if you're somewhere who lives around the world if you do have McWraps then cool you're lucky and fortunate to have those.
In Maryland, we have the Mc Crab Cake occasionally come up on the menu. I wasn't dumb enough to try it, but those who did said it was one of the worst things they had eaten.

you forgot one thing the mc lobster is one of the categories of horrible fast food ever one time a customer went to mc Donald's and order a mc lobster but the employee says they don't serve it any more because one of the parts of the lobster was raw not thoroughly cooked so she got angry and causing a seen.
Still it had no Ruis McFeast in it (Rye McFeast) from Finland ... does it not look tasty ?

From what I recall, the McDonald's in Spencer, West Virginia still offers the McPizza in one way or another.
Last time I got a McPizza from there was a few years ago, so I dont know if they were forced to stop or not.
EDIT: the restaraunt was forced to take it off the menu. What a shame...still keeping this up for archival purposes.
Inny74 there used to be pizza in pomeroy Ohio too but last year they renovated and forced it out. Very sad because for fast food pizza it was pretty decent lol

Only thing in common is it's long. The McSteak thing was a steak sandwhich whereas the McRib is a BBQ Pork sandwhich. My Dad said the McSteak was the best Fast Food sandwhich ever made.

Chopped Beefsteak Sandwish is called Prosperity Burger in Malaysia. They only release it once in a year from December to early Febuary as a new year celebration. And we freaking loved it. If anyone want to taste it, I am glad to say we still have Chopped Beefsteak sandwish in Malaysia.
