I respect the majorities decision of loving this movie! I never watched this as a child so I had 0 nostalgia for this which made my review a bit more cynical. Hope you found some entertainment in it though!

less cynical and more just shitting on it, tbh..
You should have had peta jones come in to “protect” the rabbit from killing itself
Hey pig, look at my replies on my comment I think it might be a scammer using your pic. They replied to 3 other people too. Just want to make sure cause it seems fishy
I watch it as an adult but I found it funny cuz it was a cute idea but a dumb movie >< Its so stupid I love it.
Hey BionicPig I think a movie that'd be cool to see you review is this adult (like for adults not on a website kind of adult) cartoon called where the wind blows I think it's set in the 80s out in the British countryside and the two main characters. Are a husband and wife both very country loving and nostalgic. Reminding the bomb raids of the UK as happy times where they hid out and played and sees Stalin as a good person. They get sent pamphlets about what to do if a bomb drops by their local government and the main govt both giving terrible but contradancing advice he notices this but just accepts it as he is loyal to his country and govt and then the bomb drops I won't say anymore if you are interested but if you have heard of this I would love to see your opinion on it
I’ve always found the suicidal immortal rabbit to be one of the most darkly humorous concepts ever
100th like
Definitely watch Better Off Dead!
i myself laughed at that growing up lol
Steve Buscemi
Y’ever watched deadpool?!
All this movie taught me, was how to spell the word 'Brain'
Man, I’m dead.💀
I’m dead, man.
Man, im dead ☠️💀☠️☠️💀💀💀☠️☠️☠️☠️
@@FallCastle don’t forget the skeleton to make sure your really dead
Man, dead I'm
“A rabbit who’s immortal but wishes he was dead”
So basically Dr. Bright’s fursona
A weird way to phrase it, but yeah?
Shame that Bright's author is a pedo
Damn that is actually a great description of that 😅
Also great pfp btw, good to see other fans of that amazing series out there
Eww S.C.P. fan. Get outta here.
Underrated comment-
This is one of those rare films that’s a mess in almost every way but the characters on their own are nice to look at. A lot of the designs remind me of Psychonauts, in a good way
Dude you’re so right. I thought the style looked familiar, it looks just like Psychonauts
I was thinking the same thing omg
I was thinking this while watching the video, as I played Psychonaughts (2) 😭
SAME. Especially with Jaqueline’s design
Wait you're totally right! It does look like Psychonauts!
I loved Igor as a kid so much. I rewatched it so many times
Why
@@TheseSlayer because I'm not as critical of movies as everyone seems to be

this man has a talent to remind me of my favorite childhood movies that I completely forgotten about.
This movie has a special place in my heart but mainly it introduced me to “pennies from heaven” with then introduced me to frank Sinatra which then introduced me to jazz music and the rest is history ♥️♥️
oh the SOUNDTRACK to this film is astounding. it’s perfect
Seriously! I just said something similar
yes!! this soundtrack was bombb❤😂
FRR
I could be wrong, but this movie's soundtrack could have also sprouted my love for Jazz which led me to become the bass player I am today.
I do like that they had the balls to actually make Eva pretty unsightly aside from her face. Usually in movies when there’s an “ugly” girl she’s like, above average AT WORST.
i actually don’t think her face is ugly tho lmao
@@ashegrey3042 Right, she’s unsightly ASIDE from her face. Her face is honestly gorgeous to me!
But the rest of her is monstrous. Which is refreshing for movies with “ugly” female characters.
@@ashegrey3042 that0s exactly what op said, that her face looks good, but her body is unsightly
this movie sits deep inside my brain and i remember it every now and then when i hear the "i can see clearly now the rain is gone" song
SAME!
Agree! I always go back to that ending scene.
I LOVED this movie as a kid i vividly remember my mom taking me to see it in theaters and us singing the pocket full of sunshine song on the drive home
I‘m scared
Dude I was so obsessed with this movie too
@@TheseSlayer touch grass
@@tumultuousv thanks bro
Wait, it was in theaters!?
The blind orphan jokes shaped my humour to what it is now. I absolutely love this movie, I quote it all the time
"Shes KILLING BLIND ORPHANS! its good shes doing evil but,BLIND ORPHANS"
"Everyone found out the king was actually trolling everyone"

I was so obsessed I read the comic(yes, there was a comic) a lot when I was a kid
I hate it
@@TheseSlayer okay

@@TheseSlayer you could Mme ted on every comment that like this movie we get you don't like it
this is unironically one of my favourite films ever and i’ve seen it so many times i can say the whole script along to it almost word for word. i can have it on in the background and not properly pay attention to it and still quote along to it. everything you’re saying is completely correct though.
I actually saw this movie in theatres.
I remember that I got so upset when Igor went ahead with turning the monster girl evil that I made my parents take me home right then without finishing the movie.
I remember this movie, unfortunately, and every time I hear the song "I can see clearly now the rain is gone" my stupid brain always remembers that ending scene with the blind orphans
I forgot about that oh noooo
@@cauzie8281 Lmaoooo
Same lmao
That just proves it’s iconic
💀💀
Scamper was and always will be my favorite character in Igor. Just love his character, never fails to amuse me 😆
When my daughter was younger she LOVED this movie. The suicidal rabbit and the blind orphans were 100% the highlights. I remember the first time seeing the "I can see clearly now" scene and cackling loudly! If you watch it, there's one kid facing the wrong way and wandering away 🤣
I always loved this movie. The one thing I really wish we could've gotten was Eva's voice actress singing "Tomorrow" she had such good vocals that it's sad there's no full version of her singing the song
I watched this movie everyday when i was a kid, im glad people found out abt it
I hate it. Don’t likey

Same bruh I loved it
Honestly I still like this movie. It's not perfect but I will fully admit to having nostalgia glasses on, because I watched this when I was younger and loved it.
Honestly the brainwash pun joke is comedic genius and you cannot convince me otherwise
Schadenfreude actually translates to the receiving pleasure from someone else's pain or misfortune. Guess the scientist must have been a self insert of the creator and he's getting off on the audience watching the film
If anything this is the man’s best film
Joke's on him cause I actually don't hate this movie. I don't even know why it's so hated; like, yeah, the movie isn't subtle, but it's not awful, I don't think.
this movie was one that occasionally pops into my brain every year

This movie used to make me uncomfortable but I was still addicted to watching it over and over.
Maybe it’s just the nostalgia, but I LOVE this movie, even now
Me too, it’s a guilty pleasure
Despite its flaws. I still enjoy watching this movie even as a adult.
Igor was one of my favorite movies as a kid, I’m glad its getting more recognition lately
I watched this film waaaay too many times as a child. I was easily entertained
I enjoyed this movie a bunch when i was younger and a still do! Still holds up well, i also like the design of the characters as well as the animation
Woah the nostalgia, I loved this movie as a kid and haven’t thought about it in so long. Kind loved this movie 😂 John Cusack is one of my favourites to this day
So glad to come to the comments and see I wasn’t alone enjoying this movie 😂
For reals bro I’m having a “ If the whole world is against Igor, then I’m against the World” 😂
Like no matter how logically he criticizes the movie, I still love it. Sure it’s not a grandiose movie but, it doesn’t have to, movies can be just mid and that’s fine :3
I loved this movie
Its honestly the closest to being a psychonauts movie to be
Its not so much about discrimination as it is about being stuck in a class system
That tells you to step on people to get ahead in life
Psychonauts movie but Sheegor is the protagonist?
Igor is such an underrated gem.
Fun fact: the original hunchback “Igor” from Frankenstein was named “Fritz.” Igor didn’t come until one of the sequel movies, where Bela Legosi (1931 Dracula) plays Ygor, another hunchback who controls Frankenstein’s monster with some special flute
Pig slowly losing his sanity while reviewing this made my day
My youngest son and I watched Igor several times a week! I always enjoyed it and he loved it! To this day if I sing "pennies from heaven" he quotes the movie "I made him immortal which is a hassle for him since he doesn't want to live. I also made him talk which is a hassle for me since he never shuts up!"
I liked this movie a lot when it came out and I saw it in theaters. We still have the DVD somewhere. Looking back, I like the concept of it and it had a nice view on the whole Igor concept
Man, Igor was one of my childhood movies!
I watched this movie so much when I was little that there are just some songs that I will always associate with this movie. Can't listen to Pocketful of Sunshine without going "ah, the blind orphans"
Now that I think about it, the artstyle in igor reminds me a lot of psychonauts
I didn't really like Igor, but I think the Psychonauts artstyle kinda has me appreciating the movie more
I enjoy this movie. I saw it in theaters and still think it's underrated and overhated
Glad to see I'm not the only one who loved this movie as a kid
EFFING FINALLY!!!!! This was the one movie review I've been waiting for!!!!
I can’t overstate how many plastic pills I consumed as a child because of this movie, I thought I could shapeshift but I literally almost died 😭😭🤣
god i thought igor was a fever trip for YEARS.
This was one of the few films I constantly watched when I was younger. So a lot of nostalgia for this film
I loved the puns of taking metaphors and creating actual things or scenes around it 💀 also the cone boobs, like a lot of things in this movie, are a callback to old Hollywood! It's like a bullet bra! I also love all things vintage and classic movies, jazz and all that, so that's probably why I liked it so much as a kid lol
This is one of those "keystone" movies for me. Like one that was so integral to my childhood, I can't imagine growing up without it.
I vividly remember my mom saying loud enough for the entire theater to hear "this is NOT for kids!!1" most likely because of the suicidal rabbit
I remember seeing Igor playing in the background at an IKEA that I went to about 7 or 8 years ago. I had no fucking clue about what was going on. And that just speaks for how convoluted this film’s direction actually is.
Let's be honest Doctor Doofenshmirtz did it better in 1 minute than this entire movie in it's entire runtime
this is/was my childhood movie, idk if it was my love for dark/morbid media rearing it’s head early, but i adored it. also Scamper is still my favourite character, he’s very relatable.
edit: o my god, i’ve never notice but the antagonist is literally just willy wonka if he was straight up evil
"BRING ME BACK A TOY!" has been an inside joke between my Dad & I for years
Edit: I completely forgot that "Is it coconutty? Is it coconutty enough?" is from this film too, & now I'm rolling 😂
Louis Prima is still one of my go-to artists after watching this movie just about a thousand times throughout my life! I’m glad a lot of other people seem to enjoy this movie as much as I do :)
I went to see this in theaters at 16 and laughed so hard at the rabbit. Will always be a favorite.
I don't know why but I was always fascinated by the Steve Buscemi rabbit character- pretty much the only reason I'd watch the movie now.
Bro I loved this movie as a kid. I just found this on UA-cam for free one day and decided to watch it. I watched it multiple times that day lol
Oh my God... I remember watching this movie when I was a kid! 😳 Ya know... As a fan of Tony Leondis's movies, this one was always seem to be a forgotten movie 🤔 But I'm so glad that you reminded me that Igor is a movie that still exists because it came out all the way back in 2008 😅
I love this movie so much.
Have a screencap of the movie as my banner since forever.
"I don't know what they do with the recycled Egor's"
Did you not notice all the stuff made out of Egor parts? The immortal rabbit uses an Egor bottle opener at one point. I nearly shat myself when I saw that.
one thing that's really interesting is that in the frsnkenstein novel, the creature meets a blind man, who's the first person to be kind to him. so the blind orphans thing had like, a meaning woahg
I actually had this on DVD. We didn't watch it much, because my little sisters were scared of the movie (for some reason). It was like that for Coraline and The Nightmare Before Christmas, too. But when we did watch it, I really liked it.
I used to watch this movie so much when I was younger
It’s definitely a mess but it’s one I still remember fondly, I kinda like that a lot of it doesn’t even make sense. Idk why, it just feels more fun and less serious cause of that
I genuinely didn't remember that this mohie was literally 'Pun: The Movie' but I do remember that , since I watched it in Portugal Portuguese, to keep the Iva-Evil semi-pun they changed her name to Magda (because evil(female) would be Má) and I remember the line "Eu não sou má, eu sou Magda"(I am not Evil, I am Iva) because even to this day it is funny as all sh*t
I never saw this as a kid, but if I had, Schadenfreude would have absolutely been my “awakening.”
I had this movie in dvd and I will defend its quality against any form of logic. I love it so much! Even though this video is understandable I’ll just continue to live in my bias
No shame or nun but this movie was low-key great , after a few more watches it's truly a Better movie than what we got today. Love the vids Mike G!
Code Lyokos is literally my child hood, I literally watched it on my crumbling kindle for YEARS I was obsessed. Amazing video, I’ve heard but never seen of the movie and listening to you talk about it is incredibly entertaining, thanks for the hard work!!!
I hope everybody dresses up as Garfield, since it falls on a Monday “because I hate Mondays”
This movie gave me trauma but also probably influenced my love for horror
The brain washing scene is embedded in my subconscious. I thought it was a fever dream for so long
I’m sorry but I’m genuinely curious how this gave you trauma
This is definitely one those movies that I couldn't prove existed but would pop into my mind every so often
"Great that she's killing orphans" "blind orphans? Bit inconsiderate no?"
I never watched this movie as a kid. My roommate showed it to me a few years ago; for a solid several weeks after I watched it I began to smell and taste blood, and I would frequently dissociate.
I went to the doctor and there was nothing wrong with me. It eventually went away, but I think this movie dealt me some kind of physiological damage. I really wish I was exaggerating
This film was one of those things that I always remembered as being that weird film that no one talks about and barely anyone remembers, along with things like osmosis Jones, we're back a dinosaur story, etc.
I mainly remembered this film for Eva's design it's honestly one of my favourite "frankenstein" the wild proportions of the artstyle and the small arm was so cool to me. Even if the face is a little too normal and pretty, I would've had a split on her face, one side is the same as the one in the film but then a more deformed face, maybe have the camera focus on the "ugly" side when she is her normal self which is good like the deformed igor and then the pretty side when she's evil like the villians. just to shack things up from the typical evil is ugly, good is pretty mentality in media.
I literally never hear about osmosis Jones, that was a classic^^
It's kinda creepy that he made her out of disembodied body parts and is like that of a parental figure (since he made her), only for them to be romantically involved 🤢
I loved this movie as a kid and rewatched it a few months back. Gotta say Piggy is right on this one. Movie did not age well. I hope people find enjoyment in this movie as I didn’t!!
We had a DVD player in our car and for months I listened to this movie on repeat while sitting in the front seat. It was torture. Also so jarring once I saw what the characters actually looked like years later.
This video just reminded me from the deepest memory that I saw in theaters when it came out. I was 8 so at the time, I thought it was great...opinions change when your older.
This actually used to be my favorite movie growing up. I hadn't seen it nor thought about it in years and was rather surprised to see this on my recommended today, lol
I think a secondary top reason why I loved this movie so much was because the style reminded me of Psychonauts, my favorite game for the longest time.
...suicidal rabbit was 3rd place in "Top 3 Reasons Why I Loved This Movie".
What was 1st place? I forgot.
Scamper is pretty much Jax from The Amazing Digital Circus, but replace the comedic sadism with comedic nihilism. My favorite joke is when he's looking for a good postcard, complains that they're so convoluted when it comes to killing people these days, then comes across a Mother's Day card, and then BOOM, HEADSHOT! He then regens and compliments the card for being as on the nose as this movie's message. The implication that there's a card that kills your mom is fucked up on its own, but him admiring it is somehow fucking hilarious. I think every scene with Scamper is so funny
Did you know that the name Schadenfreud is probably a reference to the German word schadenfreude, which means to take pleasure or excitement in the misfortune of others.
I always saw this movie in the movie store and I always had a little bit of a desire to watch but felt to embarrassed to actual rent it so I never watched it and here we are
Unlike most commenters on here, I did not watch this as a kid. I was in Uni when it came out....and I LOVED IT. I watched it so many times I drove my roommate crazy. Its a masterpiece and you cannot convince me otherwise 😅
Pig having an actual mental breakdown over this movie is gold lol 😆 😂 always taking one for the team with these movies 🎬 🎞 🎥 🙌🏿🤣
Great video man as always!!!
I watched this movie in highschool and loved it to death lmao. Sure it's no masterpiece but I'm one of those kind of people that just watches movie for the fun of them.
This just unlocked a nostalgic memory, remember loving this movie in theatres
Igor was just one of those movies that my dad had bought because it was floating around supermarkets, completely oblivious to the fact that it was too wacky wild for a little kid
Love the content, so well put together
Dude this was a kid's movie in *2008* bro😭😭 still love it as much as I used to as a kid
To be fair nothing is stopping you from dressing up as Bob the Builder every day and going around asking for candy except for you.
It's October u know what that means
*plays Christmas music
😆 that’s definitely me right now and no I’m not ashamed 🎄😂
I thought this was some bizarre fever dream I had when I was 7. I guess it did actually exist.
man i remember i used to watch this a lot as a kid, it still holds a special place in my heart
You could always dress up as a Mummer and go door to door asking for booze during the 12 days of Christmas.
Igor is a core memory for me and I've always been obsessed with this movie so happy you are talking about it
I’ve had the magnets for this movie that were from McDonald’s on the freezer for years but could never remember what is was from, I’m so glad UA-cam recommended this to me. 15 years of mystery is finally solved
For a second i thought this was a album review
