Hey pig, look at my replies on my comment I think it might be a scammer using your pic. They replied to 3 other people too. Just want to make sure cause it seems fishy
Hey BionicPig I think a movie that'd be cool to see you review is this adult (like for adults not on a website kind of adult) cartoon called where the wind blows I think it's set in the 80s out in the British countryside and the two main characters. Are a husband and wife both very country loving and nostalgic. Reminding the bomb raids of the UK as happy times where they hid out and played and sees Stalin as a good person. They get sent pamphlets about what to do if a bomb drops by their local government and the main govt both giving terrible but contradancing advice he notices this but just accepts it as he is loyal to his country and govt and then the bomb drops I won't say anymore if you are interested but if you have heard of this I would love to see your opinion on it
I LOVED this movie as a kid i vividly remember my mom taking me to see it in theaters and us singing the pocket full of sunshine song on the drive home
This is one of those rare films that’s a mess in almost every way but the characters on their own are nice to look at. A lot of the designs remind me of Psychonauts, in a good way
this man has a talent to remind me of my favorite childhood movies that I completely forgotten about. This movie has a special place in my heart but mainly it introduced me to “pennies from heaven” with then introduced me to frank Sinatra which then introduced me to jazz music and the rest is history ♥️♥️
I do like that they had the balls to actually make Eva pretty unsightly aside from her face. Usually in movies when there’s an “ugly” girl she’s like, above average AT WORST.
@@ashegrey3042 Right, she’s unsightly ASIDE from her face. Her face is honestly gorgeous to me! But the rest of her is monstrous. Which is refreshing for movies with “ugly” female characters.
I remember this movie, unfortunately, and every time I hear the song "I can see clearly now the rain is gone" my stupid brain always remembers that ending scene with the blind orphans
I actually saw this movie in theatres. I remember that I got so upset when Igor went ahead with turning the monster girl evil that I made my parents take me home right then without finishing the movie.
this is unironically one of my favourite films ever and i’ve seen it so many times i can say the whole script along to it almost word for word. i can have it on in the background and not properly pay attention to it and still quote along to it. everything you’re saying is completely correct though.
When my daughter was younger she LOVED this movie. The suicidal rabbit and the blind orphans were 100% the highlights. I remember the first time seeing the "I can see clearly now" scene and cackling loudly! If you watch it, there's one kid facing the wrong way and wandering away 🤣
I always loved this movie. The one thing I really wish we could've gotten was Eva's voice actress singing "Tomorrow" she had such good vocals that it's sad there's no full version of her singing the song
Schadenfreude actually translates to the receiving pleasure from someone else's pain or misfortune. Guess the scientist must have been a self insert of the creator and he's getting off on the audience watching the film
Joke's on him cause I actually don't hate this movie. I don't even know why it's so hated; like, yeah, the movie isn't subtle, but it's not awful, I don't think.
Honestly I still like this movie. It's not perfect but I will fully admit to having nostalgia glasses on, because I watched this when I was younger and loved it.
Fun fact: the original hunchback “Igor” from Frankenstein was named “Fritz.” Igor didn’t come until one of the sequel movies, where Bela Legosi (1931 Dracula) plays Ygor, another hunchback who controls Frankenstein’s monster with some special flute
My youngest son and I watched Igor several times a week! I always enjoyed it and he loved it! To this day if I sing "pennies from heaven" he quotes the movie "I made him immortal which is a hassle for him since he doesn't want to live. I also made him talk which is a hassle for me since he never shuts up!"
Woah the nostalgia, I loved this movie as a kid and haven’t thought about it in so long. Kind loved this movie 😂 John Cusack is one of my favourites to this day
I watched this movie so much when I was little that there are just some songs that I will always associate with this movie. Can't listen to Pocketful of Sunshine without going "ah, the blind orphans"
I liked this movie a lot when it came out and I saw it in theaters. We still have the DVD somewhere. Looking back, I like the concept of it and it had a nice view on the whole Igor concept
For reals bro I’m having a “ If the whole world is against Igor, then I’m against the World” 😂 Like no matter how logically he criticizes the movie, I still love it. Sure it’s not a grandiose movie but, it doesn’t have to, movies can be just mid and that’s fine :3
I loved this movie Its honestly the closest to being a psychonauts movie to be Its not so much about discrimination as it is about being stuck in a class system That tells you to step on people to get ahead in life
Scamper is pretty much Jax from The Amazing Digital Circus, but replace the comedic sadism with comedic nihilism. My favorite joke is when he's looking for a good postcard, complains that they're so convoluted when it comes to killing people these days, then comes across a Mother's Day card, and then BOOM, HEADSHOT! He then regens and compliments the card for being as on the nose as this movie's message. The implication that there's a card that kills your mom is fucked up on its own, but him admiring it is somehow fucking hilarious. I think every scene with Scamper is so funny
one thing that's really interesting is that in the frsnkenstein novel, the creature meets a blind man, who's the first person to be kind to him. so the blind orphans thing had like, a meaning woahg
I remember seeing Igor playing in the background at an IKEA that I went to about 7 or 8 years ago. I had no fucking clue about what was going on. And that just speaks for how convoluted this film’s direction actually is.
0:14 "It's really an excuse for people, and more importantly, myself, to kind of, you know, be myself. 0:30 "Why does it have to be one day a year? THAT'S NOT FAIR." You know, Mr. Pig, there is a song written by Ministry about that.
"I don't know what they do with the recycled Egor's" Did you not notice all the stuff made out of Egor parts? The immortal rabbit uses an Egor bottle opener at one point. I nearly shat myself when I saw that.
Louis Prima is still one of my go-to artists after watching this movie just about a thousand times throughout my life! I’m glad a lot of other people seem to enjoy this movie as much as I do :)
24:48 After watching this movie again a few weeks ago, I realized it's not actually anything Igor has to say that resonates with her. It's the fact that the sun comes out and the evil bone "loses it's power in the sunlight". So basically, if they hadn't destroyed the tower at that exact moment, she would have unalived Igor and brought down the whole arena
this is/was my childhood movie, idk if it was my love for dark/morbid media rearing it’s head early, but i adored it. also Scamper is still my favourite character, he’s very relatable. edit: o my god, i’ve never notice but the antagonist is literally just willy wonka if he was straight up evil
I loved the puns of taking metaphors and creating actual things or scenes around it 💀 also the cone boobs, like a lot of things in this movie, are a callback to old Hollywood! It's like a bullet bra! I also love all things vintage and classic movies, jazz and all that, so that's probably why I liked it so much as a kid lol

“Surprisingly, at an inch tall, You still have the biggest mouth in Malaria” - Dr. Schraudenfraud I loved this movie as a kid, I saw it when it was in theaters, which is strange because it doesn’t feel like a theatre movie. It feels like a direct to dvd movie. But a really good one. It’s a mess I won’t deny it but it’s a beautiful mess. The characters are charming, even the villains, and it’s honestly hilarious at times. Like Schraudenfraud has some of the funniest lines. And the whole concept of Scamper constantly offing himself is great dark humor to me. Igor and Eva are really cute too.. Eva being so into acting is so contagious and her performance of Tomorrow is honestly my favorite version.. 😭
I used to watch this movie so much when I was younger It’s definitely a mess but it’s one I still remember fondly, I kinda like that a lot of it doesn’t even make sense. Idk why, it just feels more fun and less serious cause of that
I actually had this on DVD. We didn't watch it much, because my little sisters were scared of the movie (for some reason). It was like that for Coraline and The Nightmare Before Christmas, too. But when we did watch it, I really liked it.
The movie's concept is striving to reach the wrong kind of "success". And of positions, assigned to you - the prerequisites of your birth, your social standing, material wealth, physical attributes etc (Eva, who was supposed to be "innately" evil, but something went wrong, the suicidal rabbit who doesn't want to live, opposed to common belief, the dim-witted "Brian" and so on.) Even the superficial world of "evil geniuses" is a funny, if a bit grim, satire. I love this movie. Its designs are beautiful, its music - an earworm. And it's hella smort.
Oh my God... I remember watching this movie when I was a kid! 😳 Ya know... As a fan of Tony Leondis's movies, this one was always seem to be a forgotten movie 🤔 But I'm so glad that you reminded me that Igor is a movie that still exists because it came out all the way back in 2008 😅
I’ve had the magnets for this movie that were from McDonald’s on the freezer for years but could never remember what is was from, I’m so glad UA-cam recommended this to me. 15 years of mystery is finally solved
This film was one of those things that I always remembered as being that weird film that no one talks about and barely anyone remembers, along with things like osmosis Jones, we're back a dinosaur story, etc. I mainly remembered this film for Eva's design it's honestly one of my favourite "frankenstein" the wild proportions of the artstyle and the small arm was so cool to me. Even if the face is a little too normal and pretty, I would've had a split on her face, one side is the same as the one in the film but then a more deformed face, maybe have the camera focus on the "ugly" side when she is her normal self which is good like the deformed igor and then the pretty side when she's evil like the villians. just to shack things up from the typical evil is ugly, good is pretty mentality in media.
Did you know that the name Schadenfreud is probably a reference to the German word schadenfreude, which means to take pleasure or excitement in the misfortune of others.
This video just reminded me from the deepest memory that I saw in theaters when it came out. I was 8 so at the time, I thought it was great...opinions change when your older.
I had this movie in dvd and I will defend its quality against any form of logic. I love it so much! Even though this video is understandable I’ll just continue to live in my bias
I always saw this movie in the movie store and I always had a little bit of a desire to watch but felt to embarrassed to actual rent it so I never watched it and here we are
This actually used to be my favorite movie growing up. I hadn't seen it nor thought about it in years and was rather surprised to see this on my recommended today, lol I think a secondary top reason why I loved this movie so much was because the style reminded me of Psychonauts, my favorite game for the longest time. ...suicidal rabbit was 3rd place in "Top 3 Reasons Why I Loved This Movie". What was 1st place? I forgot.
Igor was just one of those movies that my dad had bought because it was floating around supermarkets, completely oblivious to the fact that it was too wacky wild for a little kid
I always found that a great addition to this movie would be the igors interacting with each other and that Igor is just a general given insulting name to them. They have actual real names but only use them amongst themselves. It's that and a lot of elements that could've made this movie great and more so focus on the enslavement and harsh mistreatment to those that aren't born "normal"
It's kinda creepy that he made her out of disembodied body parts and is like that of a parental figure (since he made her), only for them to be romantically involved 🤢
Unlike most commenters on here, I did not watch this as a kid. I was in Uni when it came out....and I LOVED IT. I watched it so many times I drove my roommate crazy. Its a masterpiece and you cannot convince me otherwise 😅
I watched this movie in highschool and loved it to death lmao. Sure it's no masterpiece but I'm one of those kind of people that just watches movie for the fun of them.

I literally never hear about osmosis Jones, that was a classic^^
Did you know that the name Schadenfreud is probably a reference to the German word schadenfreude, which means to take pleasure or excitement in the misfortune of others.
This video just reminded me from the deepest memory that I saw in theaters when it came out. I was 8 so at the time, I thought it was great...opinions change when your older.
I love how this movie drove you nuts with how bad it was but the comments are filled with people that unironically love it to bits
I had this movie in dvd and I will defend its quality against any form of logic. I love it so much! Even though this video is understandable I’ll just continue to live in my bias
You called Igor a nightmare, it's unironic because that's the theme of the movie, evil scientists, monsters, all that Frankenstein stuff
I always saw this movie in the movie store and I always had a little bit of a desire to watch but felt to embarrassed to actual rent it so I never watched it and here we are
I thought this was some bizarre fever dream I had when I was 7. I guess it did actually exist.
This actually used to be my favorite movie growing up. I hadn't seen it nor thought about it in years and was rather surprised to see this on my recommended today, lol
I think a secondary top reason why I loved this movie so much was because the style reminded me of Psychonauts, my favorite game for the longest time.
...suicidal rabbit was 3rd place in "Top 3 Reasons Why I Loved This Movie".
What was 1st place? I forgot.
Igor was just one of those movies that my dad had bought because it was floating around supermarkets, completely oblivious to the fact that it was too wacky wild for a little kid
No shame or nun but this movie was low-key great , after a few more watches it's truly a Better movie than what we got today. Love the vids Mike G!
This is a movie I could not at all remember except for the scene with “pocket full of sunshine” in it
Unlike most commenters on here, I did not watch this as a kid. I was in Uni when it came out....and I LOVED IT. I watched it so many times I drove my roommate crazy. Its a masterpiece and you cannot convince me otherwise 😅
I don't know why but I was always fascinated by the Steve Buscemi rabbit character- pretty much the only reason I'd watch the movie now.
I watched this movie in highschool and loved it to death lmao. Sure it's no masterpiece but I'm one of those kind of people that just watches movie for the fun of them.
I love how when pig found out the whole point of Established Titles his entire view on it switched immediately
