The "dirty hoe" joke was, and still is a comedic masterpiece. Why, I'd even say it's a work of art. The amount of time it might've taken to think of the joke is unfathomable, let alone how long it would take to truly comprehend the joke. The movie was truly ahead of it's time.

19:29 I feel like the difference is in the casting. Jim Carry embodied the Grinch as he was written. Where as Mike Meyers made the Cat embody his style of comedy.

I know this is an old video, but the reason why he doesn't have a Focus is because sponsors don't usually want villains or characters with shady morals to own their products. This is the same reason why you'll never see a villainous character owning an iPhone and it's sometimes a telltale sign that the character will turn out to be the villain.

keylay Bionic’s revelation that The Cat in the Hat had placed a piñata behind the bush instead of going behind it himself actually made the scene much more hilarious because it implies that the cat in the hat either hadn’t realized that or, he realized it and decided that he had put in too much effort into his plan to abandon it.

This film was a tragically underrated gem. It came out before Gen Z was old enough to appreciate it, but after Millenials were too old to enjoy it. Rewatching it as a young adult, it is absolutely fantastic every single time.

Over the summer during quarantine, my roommate and I decided to get stoned and watch this cinematic masterpiece and I can tell you with all honesty that this is the best thing to watch with a buddy to just laugh, bond, and just your brain off.
Fun fact: Dr Seuss’ wife saw this movie, and then said that no more live action movies would be made based off of the books

The first time I saw this movie was in 9th grade Algebra in like 2004, when we had a substitute teacher who came into the class looking like Miss Frizzle, speaking in rhyme about how this was going to be a special day for us all and this was her favorite movie of all time and how excited she was to share it with us.
I'm still haunted by that experience.
I think the first time I ate an edible I laid on the living room floor and I watched Cat in the Hat and I felt like I couldn't move, not that I wanted to because watching Cat in the Hat high might have been one of the best experiences in my life.

So they explained that it was like an old Halloween prop that people worshipped and that they had it hanging there all year long, so people would give them more candy...
