Dr. Anthony Youn ❤He changed my life from the inside out...as he said.... What you eat. When you eat. Supplements. Skincare products. Treatments. The best doctor and wonderful human being ❤ Thank you for the interview 👏👏👏
Five minutes in and I just LOVE this doctor! Thank God he took this unfortunate event and let it be a catalyst for change into a wholistic practice. I am all ears!
Huge believer in diet lifestyle inc no alcohol stress management quality sleep daily exercise & play and good skincare and sunscreen. So you two are speaking to my soul
Music came up in the conversation, I am in my 70's and I still love the music from the 50's. I have been 90% paralyzed on my left side because of a sickness, I had at three and a half old. In spite of my limitations I can do everything including tying my shoes with one hand. One of my favorite activities is square dancing and one of the pleasures is the music that is played, it just make me want to go all night. On the other hand if I don't like the music, I get tired really fast. I did not get into the activity for the good of my health but I had a physical therapist and a medical doctor tell me not to give up dancing. I think it is a shame where people want a health benefit for doing a physical activity. The exercise then just becomes a chore.
Yes, who exercises without music anymore?! When I have music I like, I go for longer and more joyfully as well. I am also in my 70’s and just bought waterproof headphones so I can SWIM to music because of just what you are talking about. The “glad to be alive “ factor!😅 Keep dancing, girl!
Been watching the Model Health show for almost a decade now and my favorite thing about Shawn is I’ve witnessed him talking about a lot of these things already like the impact of buildup of cellular waste on your health but Shawn will still leave room for the expert (like this surgeon) to speak on the nuance. I’m listening to this episode and I can point out many things Shawn talked about in his book Eat Smarter and in my mind I’m like “Shawn knows all of this” and I’m in awe watching how he doesn’t overly assert himself while another expert has the floor. I hope this rant makes sense lol.
Red light therapy works because it damages the mitochondria. So, the body has to work to repair the damage. Same with micro needling. It will tighten your skin and improve your collagen /elastin - great anti-wrinkle's. Love my red lights.
I have had thinning of my skin as I got older so I am going to try colostrum. It already has looked better since using BioSil. I wonder what he would say to someone who is in the last stage of rebuilding the gut. Colostrum is helpful?
Thank you for the great info. I just bought the "Younger for life" book :). I have a question: you mentioned whey protein, but whey proteins can influence autophagy pathways in a wrong way (as they can contain amino acid which would inhibit autophagy), how do i know which one is ok and which one is not?
I know I am an outlier, but just want to put this out there. Collagen is not for everyone not just for ethical reasons , but as someone who has Ehlers danlos syndrome it would absolutely do nothing and be a waste of money. And not everyone who has EDS knows they have it. I searched for a dx most of my adult life getting it at 43 after I took my teen daughter in to specialist. So I could have spent years and thousands of $ on a supplement that could NEVER work for me even though research shows it can work.

Is gelatine as good as collagen?

what red light do you use?
Red light damages the mitochondria? Never heard this. My understanding is that it energizes/regenerates mitochondria.
That was from Dr David Sinclair - the anti-aging specialist.

How do you find a reputable red light therapy apparatus?

Go for a grass-fed beef protein isolate. Also zero bloating!
Wrong 😂
Wish I found him years ago…..unfortunately, it is to late for me to benefit ❣️
super cool episode! =D

It works for most. Unsure why people don't get that.
Why not be really clever and do both? They can work hand in hand surely?
👍🙏
I want a face lift so bad. I just need a little lift.

Hard taking the Host seriously wearing that silly cap. I find it rude to his Guest and audience. Just as silly as wearing sunglasses indoors.
