I used to use Evian to mist face then applied my moisturizer. I think using water that is not full of chemicals is good for your skin. I used to use it as way to take down the cakey look of make up. There's an affordable German shop chain called Drogerie Markt (DM) and their own water mist costs maybe 2 dollars tops. That's the real price you should be paying for canned water, or at least how much it's worth.
Hello cassandra i would really like if you did a video on use of carmine in certified vegan brands: Bite beauty, milk makeup, coverfx, kvd, elf cosmetics, rare beauty etc. Please this would be super helpful as none of the vegans are shedding prominent light on this. Thankyou. Much love
Okay so I agree with your video points however I was gifted a cannabis infused Andalou set with a few different products and actually really liked them and the way they made my skin feel! I dont think I've ever seen you review their products but would love to see an ingredient breakdown!
Dr. Organic (I do not know if it’s a cruelty free brand) have a hemp oil lip balm, and for me it’s the best lip balm I’ve ever tried (but I also believe it’s the general ingredients in it that helps not only the hemp oil)
Evian is thermal water, it has special properties. It's true that by using it you may experience slight dehydration, so it is advised you pat it dry after a few seconds. In France, people go in "thermal towns" to cure eczema (Avène) or sinusitis (Aix-les-bains).: these places sell their "canned" water because they all have different trace elements , and they vary in quantity: this is what gives these waters their particular properties. I personally know NO better cosmetic product than Avène water spay bottle.. This isn't just plain water, it can heal and French medical care system pays for your cure if prescribed by your family doctor or ENT...etc...it's not holistic stuff. People with tuberculosis have been going to these thermal towns for decades...
Oh I wish I'd seen this before getting the Dermalogica micro-pore mist. But at least now I know that I should only spray it on my T-zone. I don't regret the two rose quartz stones I bought though. They were both much less than $100 altogether, and I just love the way they feel on my face. Better than fingers, in my opinion, but that's just my personal preference.
Short answer: Niod is where Deciem spends actual money to formulate with highly technologic and up-to-date ingredients, while the Ordinary is an affordable repackaging of well known actives in simple formulations. Niod was founded to be innovative, the Ordinary to bring actives to the people at quasi-wholesale price and create responsible consumers.
@@bihuahua2600 reading their site it seems the more "classic" brand of Deciem, with a minimalistic, liah yoo-ish approach. Since I didn't try anything from the brand I cannot say where it is placed compared to the Ordinary.

I got each of my gua sha stones on Amazon for like $5. I am always blown away by people willing to fork over $50-100 for something so simple. I mean I guess if you have that kind of disposable income, good on you. But I can think of a whole lot better things to spend $100 on... like 8 oz of Biologique Recherche p50. Now that shit is the bomb!
Hey hey hey.... one thing I LOVE about being French... those Evian Brumisateurs cost 5$ for the large size. And there are 3 or 4 sizes. Which means when it’s warm, we all carry one in our handbag and it’s sooo good to refresh... also, I have a big size in my bathroom and put some right after or before my hyaluronic acid serum which drinks it right away. And if you have like I do a nano current tool with expensive conductive gel, it helps some gel to spray water on it when it dries. So... maybe not for 18$, but for 5, sis, I’m buying my water in a can.
I use an essence, but I used oil on top and la Roche posay b5 cream on top at night. I use Avene thermal water, especially because the water is hard I my part of the UK, so again, I’ll use it on my face and hair from time to time , then use oils and creams on top to lock in the moisture. I can’t believe that is ~$3 in France! I pay a £13 for a 300ml can. When I can go to France again in the future, I think I’ll stock up!
Hi Cassandra! Could you please do a review on the late se Garnier products? I feel like most young people will purchase it with high hopes due to its pricepoind and their claim of what their products can do for skin.
Thanks for saving me some money🥰 You mentioned backne once in the video. Could you pleeease do a video about that? I am struggling with it really badly....
I use the Evian mist 🤣 BUT I use it as the very first step of my skincare routine and immediately go in with toners/essence Ontop so the humectants can hold onto all of that water.
I'm never taking evian mist out of my bag though. It's WAY too hot in my country to not use any help to freshen up and I dont use mist for skin care rather cooling method so water in a can is the go-to on this case, no need for extra moisturization :)
You are just amazing Cassandra. The amount of knowledge and experience you share with everyone shows how generous you are. Thanks for helping so many out there including me. Lots of love from India❤💕
thermal water is not just "water in a can." and who said thermal water is supposed to be a moisturiser? it's really beneficial for people with eczema, dermatitis and skin irritation. but as you pointed out, it's about how it's used. spraying it on your skin throughout the day is not ideal as it will just evaporate and possibly dry out your skin. personally i use it only at night, after cleansing my face, followed by a hyaluronic acid serum, followed by a moisturiser to lock in the moisture.
I so glad you're on the same page with James Welsh. For cosmetics check out his twin brother, Robert. Yay, a truthful expert such as yourself is eliminating these expensive trends.
I bought a gua sha and roller for 10$ total at walmart. They work perfectly. Even with having some extra money to spend, I’m not about to waste it on crazy expensive tools when the cheap ones work just as well.
I love using the Evian spray before hyaluronic acid. I used to just put water in a spray bottle but it feels so much nicer from the can for some reason. I know it's unnecessary, though
I can't wrap my head around the avian mist. they started selling it in Israel and I can't be more disappointed...couldv'e brought a quality korean skincare or the ordinary over here..
I swear by thc/cbd/cbn oils . I make them at home bcs i know how the plant grow how strong it is and if it has all the properties. It help with DNA ,prostate and so many others problems .
I keep the Evian facial spray in my diaper bag to help cool my daughter off during the crazy hot summers. The aerosol can keeps the liquid inside cool. Now I'm wondering if this is something I should stop doing??
The thing with CBD oil is, in the US anyway, it hasn't been properly researched because the product is illegal under federal law. I believe you have to get a special federal permit to conduct research concerning marijuana, and it's hard to get. (I may not be 100% correct about the legal aspects - not a lawyer.) That may change, but until appropriate research has been conducted, I'll remain skeptical about the benefits of CBD oil.
What about misting after applying hyaluronic acid so that it had moisture to bond to rather than pulling it from the dermis? And applying moisturiser on top to lock it all in obviously.
Seems like you’re confusing hemp seed oil (aka cannabis sativa oil) with Cannabidiol aka CBD oil. One is just an oil, yes. Derived from the seeds of a plant and high in linoelic acid. But CBD oil actual contains phytocannabinoids from the cannabis plant and is then added to a carrier oil. And there’s research for the latter. I get that everyone makes mistakes (I know I sure have) but when you speak like you’re an expert on the subject you can help spread misinformation. “Where legal, topical cannabidiol (CBD) or palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) can be recommended as an adjunct measure for acne, eczema, and psoriasis, participants attending the 2018 American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting. There are studies documenting the anti-inflammatory properties of topical CBD and other cannabinoids, and studies in PubMed on the many different mechanisms of topical cannabinoids work in acne, eczema, and psoriasis,” Jeanette Jacknin, MD, a board certified dermatologist based in Encinitas told Elsevier’s PracticeUpdate.” Additional studies on topical CBD: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30993303/ www.researchgate.net/publication/324871441_1061_The_safety_of_topical_cannabidiol_CBD_for_the_treatment_of_acne www.dermatologytimes.com/view/hemp-skin-health www.jaad.org/article/S0190-9622(17)30308-0/fulltext There’s definitely not this huge body of evidence or anything at all. But it’s not the same as any other oil and there is some evidence behind it.
preach! seriously, what is going on with Cassandra lately? I just stopped following her for that exact same reason. Last videos were just not good. She's either spreading misinformation or half information. As a chemist I really prefer Lab Muffin over her. That girl knows her shit and she's brillant
There's no real evidence that CBD oil helps the skin in any way, in fact, the Dermatology Times link you shared starts with the following sentence "CBD oil may offer a spectrum of health benefits, including the treatment of skin disorders, but experts say claims are more anecdotal than scientific." I've worked with several teams reaserching Cannabidiol, and the only anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects that could be measured and easily demonstrated, where only experienced with consumption of the oil, not with topical use. Many scientific papers accepted by publications such as Nature, Elsevier and such show merely anecdotal findings... I'd recommend reading these ones: www.health.harvard.edu/blog/cannabidiol-cbd-what-we-know-and-what-we-dont-2018082414476 www.nm.org/healthbeat/medical-advances/science-and-research/what-research-says-about-cbd-oil#:~:text=Scientists%20believe%20CBD%20oil%20helps,potential%20uses%20for%20CBD%20oil. PS: CBD oil is extremely expensive by the way, so not really relevant unless you have seizures or chronic pain. Hemp seed oil is obviously not that expensive, but still pricey, considering it's just a glorified vegetable oil...
Frankie Favero that’s why I made sure to say that there’s some evidence and that there isn’t by any means a compelling body of research. But it’s not the same as hemp seed oil and there is some research that indicates it’s worth continuing to study - Cassandra said there’s absolutely none and just talked about hemp seed oil which is not CBD oil. I won’t be ditching my tretinoin, glycolic acid peels, and antioxidants under sunscreen for CBD oil anytime soon unless a lot more research comes out (unlikely with skincare ingredients) but accuracy is important for someone who portrays themselves as an authority on skin and critiques other people’s routines.
Frankie Favero also, neither of your links pertain to CBD in skincare. They relate to evidence for medical applications which is a whole other conversation.
Lol that's right! "They don't pertain to skincare" because there's no valid scientific evidence that shows that CBD oil is of any value in skincare... perhaps you need to re-read my comment again, as I clearly stated that my links "pertained" to the ONLY scientifically proven uses/value of cannabidiol oil...

Thankyou.
Much love
I use this Evian water on a clean dry face and apply facial oil just immediately after , works for me and my dry skin very well!
Hmmm it’s almost like she has no idea what she’s talking about. 🧐
You should apply your serum or moisturizer immediately after the spray and not leave it to dry.
Can you do a video on eye creams that are worth it?
Eye creams are not worth it
Perhaps!! xoxo
you should do a morning/nighttime skincare routine for oily acne prone skin!!
Man I love how you explain things. You make things so easy to understand. I wish you were one of my professors! 🥰
Would you review Diecem Noid products? How are they different from Ordinary and are they worth the extra money?
And hylamide!! Plsss
Yes interesting!
Roberto Giovannini and hylamide?
@@bihuahua2600 reading their site it seems the more "classic" brand of Deciem, with a minimalistic, liah yoo-ish approach. Since I didn't try anything from the brand I cannot say where it is placed compared to the Ordinary.
I trust & respect everything she says because it’s all backed by science, plus she’s not problematic or hateful towards others ❤️
I very recently found your channel but I’m already in love with your channel and you as a person! Thank you for being so informative and encouraging through your platform. I love seeing how you’ve grown in your confidence and I feel more confident in myself after seeing how you’ve persevered through everything that life’s thrown at you. Thank you for being such an amazing role model and beautiful person!💜💜💜
Hiii ! 🐈
I’d love to hear u talk abt
Copper Amino Isolate serumssss
Hoping everyone is staying Safe
I love cbd oil from herbivore. It's very hydrating, soothing, plumping
You're seriously a life saver!!! Been watching you for almost 3 years now. You've really helped me in my acne journey.🙏🏼 Much love ❤️
I love Veriphy Skincare’s new toner. They use an aloe base. It’s vegan and cruelty free.
Hi Cassandra! Could you please do a review on the late se Garnier products? I feel like most young people will purchase it with high hopes due to its pricepoind and their claim of what their products can do for skin.
the thumbs up in my youtube mobile is not longer blue!
but I will give you the thumbs up anyway! hahaha love your videos❤️ love from Spain
Thanks for saving me some money🥰
You mentioned backne once in the video. Could you pleeease do a video about that? I am struggling with it really badly....
I use the Evian mist 🤣 BUT I use it as the very first step of my skincare routine and immediately go in with toners/essence Ontop so the humectants can hold onto all of that water.
For mists, what about the Hylamide Mist? It has water as the first ingredient but there seems to be a lot of beneficial ingredients
Always with the truth bombs!!! Newer to your channel but another Bay Area girl! Do you ever do meet up events?! I live in HMB
Can you please do something on Indian Beauty products for acne.. really need your help! Luv from India!🙏
Love your videos!! Hope anyone watching has a very good day today ❤️❤️
Love you! And hope you're having a good one too!
Will you please do something on Hyperhidrosis, the treatments & best skin care for this?! Maybe tips?! I swear on my face and head SO BADLY!!
The gua sha helped me with tensional migranes and neuralgia
Can you please make a video on curology😭
I'm never taking evian mist out of my bag though. It's WAY too hot in my country to not use any help to freshen up and I dont use mist for skin care rather cooling method so water in a can is the go-to on this case, no need for extra moisturization :)
I use to use a gua sha on my face like everyday but then I realised using my knuckles as one straight after moisturiser did the same thing
You have quickly become one of my favorite UA-camrs. I’m so glad I rediscovered you💕
You are just amazing Cassandra.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do an updated video on toners! :)
I love using the Evian spray before hyaluronic acid. I used to just put water in a spray bottle but it feels so much nicer from the can for some reason. I know it's unnecessary, though
Great video 🥰 you could try the mist version of the Laneige Cream Skin Refiner, that one is definitely moisturising!
I can't wrap my head around the avian mist. they started selling it in Israel and I can't be more disappointed...couldv'e brought a quality korean skincare or the ordinary over here..
iHerb ships many brands of K-beauty to Israel, at a fair price :)
I swear by thc/cbd/cbn oils . I make them at home bcs i know how the plant grow how strong it is and if it has all the properties. It help with DNA ,prostate and so many others problems .
My mom loves the spray since we live in Thailand and it’s super hot all year long. The mist spray is kind of helpful. It’s so refreshing! 😆
I keep the Evian facial spray in my diaper bag to help cool my daughter off during the crazy hot summers. The aerosol can keeps the liquid inside cool. Now I'm wondering if this is something I should stop doing??
i lover her curls
I use a seashell I shaved into shape instead of the guasha rock
The thing with CBD oil is, in the US anyway, it hasn't been properly researched because the product is illegal under federal law. I believe you have to get a special federal permit to conduct research concerning marijuana, and it's hard to get. (I may not be 100% correct about the legal aspects - not a lawyer.)
That may change, but until appropriate research has been conducted, I'll remain skeptical about the benefits of CBD oil.
There's Salicylic Acid sprays??? Yes please! Recommendations anyone?
What about misting after applying hyaluronic acid so that it had moisture to bond to rather than pulling it from the dermis? And applying moisturiser on top to lock it all in obviously.
I was wondering the same
yes. that's a great idea. much better than just randomly spraying thermal water on your face throughout the day.
You're amazing! Can you please review the californian Marie Veronique brand one day?! And Suki skincare! Lots of love!
For $200 my jade roller better fold my laundry and take out the trash
There are studies documenting the anti-inflammatory properties of topical CBD and other cannabinoids, and studies in PubMed on the many different mechanisms of topical cannabinoids work in acne, eczema, and psoriasis,” Jeanette Jacknin, MD, a board certified dermatologist based in Encinitas told Elsevier’s PracticeUpdate.”

There’s definitely not this huge body of evidence or anything at all.
I'd recommend reading these ones:
www.health.harvard.edu/blog/cannabidiol-cbd-what-we-know-and-what-we-dont-2018082414476
www.nm.org/healthbeat/medical-advances/science-and-research/what-research-says-about-cbd-oil#:~:text=Scientists%20believe%20CBD%20oil%20helps,potential%20uses%20for%20CBD%20oil.
Hey Cassandra, could you please do a video on various skin oils like rosehip, chia, bio-oil etc. please? I've heard some dermatologist saying polyunsaturated fats are bad for the skin.
Hey Cassandra! I have recently bought ( after your recommendation of course 😊) the "unseen sunscreen" from Supergoop!. I realised that its formula is the same as the one that we have in Greece from Frezyderm ( been using for the past couple of years). It's called Frezyderm new velvet technology ( second skin). I use the 50Spf protection without colour and it feels just as the one from Supergoop. 🤷♀️ Also,I tried the 50+ sun protect from Thank you Farmer, different formula but really good as well! No white cast or shiny and absorbs really nicely! Thank you very much for your great advice always!!💛🌺
What about hydrosols? Like a lemongrass hydrosol? Will that also possible dry out the skin?
Casserole, our blue buttons are not blue anymore. After UA-cam update it turns black now 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Wow! Cassandra, I’m sorry lol 😆 this autocorrect changed your name 😂
my mist is basic rose water under a dollar, should i still use, i like it because it's refreshing, i dont really notice any advantages besides that, but if it's damaging to my skin please someone let me know! (i have dry skin with texture , big pores and a few lines)
I use a bottle lid!
I appreciate that you exist lol you make videos backed by scientific facts and you're just so positively energetic
Haha I appreciate that you appreciate and love that you're here!!! ❤️❤️
