Loreal is one of the most unexpensive brands in my country, so maybe is important to keep that in mind when watching international routines, a lot of products that are expensive in U.S. are not expensive in other countries, and viceversa.
L'Oréal is generally cheap, the prices in the video are in HKD, when you convert them to USD you'll see it's not expensive

It looks like the lo'real toner can be purchased on other websites for around $9-$15! Still overpriced for water, but I think the $109 might be a typo, or a bad translation since I can only find it on their Hong Kong website. ☺️
It’s not a typo, Hong Kong uses HKD, it’s the same Symbol ($) but $109 HKF is around $14 USD

Jackson is someone who is very concerned about his skin and health, I think for a guy for who is very busy and has a tight schedule he’s doing great. Imagine other celebrity guys just washing their face barely with a proper face wash. Honestly, this is the not the worst skin care routine, he uses a toner, moisturiser and sunscreen which is good enough for a guy who has very less skin problem. There the way worst skin care routine than his lol

Actually, Gwyneth Paltrow has the worst routine. Btw, Jackson is the Global Ambassador for the L'Oréal Men Expert line. Honestly, I like using skincare lines geared towards men so that I can use cheaper products since it is usually true that products for men tend to be cheaper.
Also, the toner is like $10 bucks at Walmart and $109 in HKD.

Lots of countries use ‘dollars’ - it doesn’t mean they’re USD… with all that work that goes into editing these videos, I’m surprised no one at any point spent 2 seconds to look up a currency conversion so that pricing could be discussed.

On the topic of gendered skincare and price discrepancies: there's a body lotion that I use and love, and I usually get the "original" one, but one day I found out that they have a "man" one THAT'S EXACTLY THE SAME BUT CHEAPER.
Taking full advantage though. Both my skin and wallet love it!

This is by far not the worst skincare routine, that was a bit dramatic. Also make sure you are actually researching currency conversion for a product before going off on a tangent about the price.
Doesn’t matter if the price was in HKD, because he followed it up with La Mer which is expensive EVERYWHERE! Lol. Even in USD, L’Oreal is crazy for charging approx $14 for mountain water.

He is also a brand ambassador for countless brands such as Fendi, L'Oreal Paris, Cartier and much more. Also if you watch the new Marvel trailer, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings he is featured in the trailer soundtrack. But guys he is really talented, kind and funny. 😁 😊
I think what people miss in the comments is that Jackson is also a K-pop artist and most K-pop artists have access to Korean dermatologists and estheticians. JUST LIKE ANY OTHER CELEBRITY, most of the time they visit these dermatologists to keep their skin in check. Not that we are shunning them for visiting doctors, because I visit a doctor, a lot of people visit a doctor, there's no shame.
What I want is transparency because a lot of celebrities do have access and sometimes, in the Korean entertainment industry, they are required to visit dermatologists.
Can we, as fans stop being so gullible? We can love celebrities but we have to also be realistic that these celebrities have more access to healthcare, to more high quality food and skincare, and makeup, they have a team to work for them. And that's okay, it's transparency we're talking about!

Skincare is always self care . What Jackson uses don’t have dry alcohol in it so his skincare routine is not bad . And his skin is really solf and bright , I met him at Vietnam 2 years ago with his bare face because I worked in that event . And omg I love Jackson Wang so much , he deserves the best things of this world. Respect .

I'm a g@y man and I use skin care products that are mostly marketed for women or unisexual and almost not used any "for men" products, because first of all I read and check the label, and they almost have the same ingredients especially those from the same brands... and so far, men's skin care is more expensive that those advertise for women... Second, as long as they work in me, it doesn't matter to me if it for men's or for women's... They're skin care products, they should be unisexual or have no gender on it...
Interesting because in the US women's products are usually more expensive. It's called the pink tax.
@@db-gb5xi maybe because in the Philippines, the beauty and vanity products here are mostly marketed for women, the men's line was a more recent rise due to young teens here are becoming more conscious on their looks and appearance.... And since they are a newer product, they receive the same treatment as the women's razor...

It’s 109 HKD not 109 USD T^T Also, I’m pretty sure what he means by “deep dive” is just “having a skincare routine for the first time and mostly using products he was sent from brands.” Basically as cheap and as accessible as possible XD Celebrities in Asia get sent a loooooot of products for free even if they’re not a brand ambassador. It’s sort of like how influencers here get sent a lot of products. So picking from an existing free supply is much more likely.
Side note; I think it’s hilarious that half the video is him trying to teach other people about an extremely strong Chinese alcohol. It’s sort of a staple in China. Extremely common. This is also the most chill I’ve ever seen him.

When I first watched Jackson's video, I thought about how Cassandra would react. I was right. We thought exactly the same thing.
Actual question: if I wash my hands before doing my routine, why is a spoon more hygienic? Are people washing the spoon every night too or is it just sitting out on the counter or on top of the product? I've just never understood how they work to be more sanitary.
Interesting point with regard to the male wanting to take care of their skin but also not be viewed as “weak” but a I think the solution to this is not to gender products and have them be unisex as you mentioned skin is skin. It’s sad that so many companies disregard this and lean into gender to exploit both men & women.

So, recently I read that in order to get the most out of your serums and for them to work at their full strength you should wait before layering them with moisturizes. So you'd put your serum on, wait 10min, then apply moisturizer (for experienced users only, as this could irritate new users of the actives in the serums). My question is, wouldn't this result in epidermis water loss? 🤔 Would the products be absorbed and be more potent like promised, or would they evaporate into the air?
Question number two. Can you add too much of ceramides to your skin? I have dry skin so I apply two layers of moisturizer, and I was wondering if that would result in too much ceramides in my skin and if that would be a bad thing or not really.

I dont know if anyone has used la mer hete but Ive been using it for years already and I swear nothing else works for me. I did try to use cheaper serum and moisturizer but it just does not work as good. Skin so hydrated and no acne ever when Im using La mer

Im acne prone. I have many korean skin care. Retinol, bha/aha, niacinamide and Vit are my most fave and helpful. Nxt are hyaluronic acid and snail essence and green tea(isntree) by the way i guess the green tea of isntree is helpful if you have active pimple. I had an active pimple before and put a small green tea emulsion for 2 days. And im shocked, it became less red, less painful and just a week it was healed.
