Thank you so much! I didn't know you needed to bloody change a setting for the domain just to update it. I was trying to rebake and nothing was working. That's really dumb. They need to fix that.
Been playing couple days with mantaflow, and have learned that to apply any changes, I have to constantly switch between replay & final Then random things just result as empty bakes which is total shitshow when trying to figure out what does what Gave up on the whole thing its just unusable for everything except goo fluid

I am having issues with my fluid, as it appears perfectly well in wireframe mode, but not in viewport shading mode or the final render. I am using version 2.93.3. Can anyone help?
There is no bake button becuase the default is now replay cache. To get the bake button change the cache type. The problem with no updates when you change something seems to be a bug to me.
Thanks, it works, but just once. Another solution is, make the scale of the object smaller, the error happens is because the quality of your own hardware, better gpu and CPU can handle it without any problem I think..
Blender 2.9 Issue................I have a basic fluid baked animation and I have a 'Boundary' whitch I have made invisable, a 'Fluid' inflow and an 'Effector' and it animates great but when I try to render to video............. it renders the effector cube and does not render the water ................. When I look through the camera to take an image or animation there is no sign of fluid at any stage what am I doing wrong!
I've followed so many videos and nothing has seemed to work. I'm using Blender 3.2.1 and it's getting frustrating now. Thanks for your efforts, however. You should try improving your audio quality, delivery and your videos will be shining out there.
Since there are no friction settings (yet), is there any way to imitate surface frictions? Guides don't seem to do anything and take long time to simulate, so it's hard to experiment. I'm also trying to use force fields to simulate friction, but so far can't achieve anything.
When I make a fluid simulation I can't make any changes to it it... if I change any properties of the emitter, domain or collision objects absolutely nothing changes... it stays as the first simulation and nothing I do affects the simulation.
if you want the changes to take effect, when ever you change anything about the fluid objects, you have to change atleast one setting in the domain settings to reset cache because you are using replay cache, if you dont want that change to bake, so that you press bake button to rebake the simulation, i dont know why they did it like that its very confusing
The problem is, when i simulate the smoke, it doesnt play in the rendered view. If i pause and play the video it updates itself and just stops. Its like an image sequence. Also, the rendered view doesnt even show the fire. Im using Version 2.92.

Infact when i play the video in the rendered mode, the video is actually stuck as a frame and when i pause it and play again, the frame updates and gets stuck once again. Its kinda weird. Not really sure what to do
Opened blender today... my saved project has completely changed - the water is as slow as treacle, yet none of my settings have changed. Blender is so shit. There's a reason it's free

you can use a plane as inflow, under flow source you just check the box is Planer.

Thank you for this, I was pulling my hair out looking for the bake button, thinking "how did I miss it".
They didn't removed it they just made simulation real time, in cache if you change replay into modular you'll get the bake button back

I have a problem, when I add some key frames to Use Flow and Stop Flow, the domain Box shows in the render view when flow is not in use.

there still alot of functionality missing and alot of things not working

Have you checked if you are using cycles to render?

help: when i bake data in the domain, nothing is shown in the view, wireframe/solid/rendered mode.

change materials on the liquid domain after baking or playback.
I believe changing from replay to modular solves the whole thing...
The real issue is with pipe like effectors
