    I just wanna say that little progress bar while you do your intro is really thoughtful. I know sometimes I get in a rush and I wanna hurry up and learn something but your intro wasn't really that long at all. Things like that are a nice little touch to a video and calm hasty people like me lol. Also I loved the way you explained flipping normals on the torus nobody has ever explained that to me. This is just an all around great tutorial video and you can tell you put a lot of thought into it, sound and music blend well and its very well done. Thanks for that.

    • @JonathanKron

      Of course, you can just model out the inside of your mesh and set the inflow type to geometry.

    • @CDArena
      @CDArena 3 роки тому +1

      @@neil78 You can also start the simulation earlier, and only render out the frames after the simulation has filled the object to the desired level... Example: Have sim "fill" from frame 1 to 100, then keyframe off the inflow. Change Render Start frame to frame 100, and animate your bottle moving around, and set end frame to 200 or whatever.

    • @neil78
      @neil78 3 роки тому

      @@CDArena Thanks for the recommendation. So in that scenario, the "valve" would essentially shut off at frame 100 and the object would appear filled at that point. Then it could be animated and it would animate whatever volume of fluid is in the bottle at that point?

      It seems like you have assigned the wrong materials to the wrong objects. Just select the different objects and see if the correct material is applied.

      once baked to mesh the liquid domain should not be visible anymore. But you can hide every object for renders and viewport in the object properties panel (under Visibility)

      I got stuck on this issue too. The creator replied to another use in the comments with this: "Hi, there are some problems in newer Blender versions that cause the technique I showed in the video to not work anymore. I made an updated video which I pinned in the comment section of this video." - kinda frustrating that its a brand new video that has been made to address the fix instead of using the same scene as this one.
