Blender Tutorial Mantaflow Fluid Smoke Simulation Particles Problem Fix How to Made Easy Beginner Animation
It took me like 3 days to figure out most of the stuff that was mentioned in this video.
While there's no official documentation on the manual about how to troubleshoot the issues, this video will save you a lot of time.
Great stuff, thanks for this!
why is the bake button not on my settings. ITS REALLY ANNOYING ME!
PLZ HELP!
can you run by me if you can how to water sim a cube falling down steps with water splashing inside?
you touched briefly on it......ASAP PLEASE.....AYOUR WORK IS wonderfully inspiring.....
TheModulator Hey switch from replay to modular and go to cache section of the domain and select an EMPTY folder..
Took me 3 hrs before I actually gave up and went to youtube
@@kruddystupididiot Select Domain, then
Select type, then change the option from replay to modular or All (blender 2.91.0 )
Thank you! I couldn't figure out why my fluid was passing through the mesh, turns out the timesteps were the problem.
Glad I could help!
My Fluid simulations never work, I add a uv sphere then then select fluid, then change the settings to liquid and inflow and domain resolution to 64. pretty much the same setting you use and see no particles when i bake data. this happens everytime
you also need to change setting in domain and flow. Otherwise just select the uv sphere and then in object tab or search quick fluid that will work
Same here. No matter what I try even the simple sim setups don't work in Blender, just not worth the time anymore :(
make the sphere bigger and try again
This is awesome! man. I have been scratching my head for days trying to figure out why my fluid will not flow through the pipe. I watched this video about fixing the normals and try it. Guess what, boooom....it worked great. Thanks for taking the time to make this tutorial.
At 1:00 Select "Is Planar" option for planes ( I believe this option is for planes cuz when i selected this option, it worked well) It works for cylinder or cube which has no thickness
Thank you for this video. I watched several videos before this one, and none of them is as simple to understand and straight to the point like this one. Thanks!!!
that was awesome. I was about to start bashing head against desk.
I can't believe this video has been online for two years and I'm just now stumbling across it! Thank you so much!
You are my hero. I would never have thought to turn the normals inside out and then change the thickness! So grateful you took the time to make this video!
I'm glad it help! Thank you!
Thanks a lot maaan. I actually learned a lot, when u explained the most commont mistakes anybody could run into.
I'm using the fluid simulator in Blender 4 and this video solved all my problems with dispersing particles. Despite the posting date, this tutorial remains current and functional. Thank you very much.
Oh my god, this was sooo helpful I struggled for the last 3 hours trying to fix my simulation when I would have just needed to turn up the Substeps! THANK YOU!!!
Thank you, this made my day! Didn't find a solution for days and increasing the surface thickness resolved it :)
omg I was having a weird issue with a tube leaking fluid and nothing would fix it, but your fix of increasing the surface thickness solved it immediately! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
i been struggle with some of this problems, and i'm so grateful with this video, THANK YOU
all day trying to figure out why simulation wasn't playing and when i tried it outside the room finally it worked so after watching this vid I realized the room i was trying to play the simulation in had the normals on the outside and sim wouldn't even start. Huge help thank you
YOU ARE MY SAVIOR!!! If this video didnt exist it wouldve tooken me much more time.
Thank you!!! This has solved issues I have been running into for over 3 days. Subscribed.
Thank you! 👍🏼 It did not fix my problem but at least now I know where it comes from. Another thing to mention for fluid sims with mantaflow: I never got a proper result when I tried to use real life sizes. I had to make a 60 cm wide cup to be able to 'splash' the fluid in a realistic looking way.
Thanks dude this really helped me!
Glad it helped! Also love your videos! Keep up the good work!
Hours watching a lot of videos without my currents problems and you made it easy!! Thanks a lot!!
Thank you so much, this was great, just what I needed for one of my fire-smoke explosion that was not working and I couldn't figure it out.. now it is working just fine.
This is perhaps the most helpful mantaflow video I've seen posted on the web. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Glad it was helpful!
really thanks man really thanks you solved my all problems if you dont here i will not do mantaflow simulation. Thanks.
Thx! I was trying to make a river and I didn't know how to make an obstacole for the water. Thank u very much!!!!!
very nice .. these are really the issues that you run into pretty often.
I haven't started using Mantaflow yet, but watching this first I feel suuuuper confident. Thank you so much!! Liked.
Glad it was helpful!
You rock!!! I was so stuck and didn't realize that I needed to bake the data in order to see the fluid flow! Also thanks for the advice on increasing the surface thickness - who knew?!
Thankyou brother. This video cleared all problems that i was facing in Mantaflow. Thankyou so much ❤️
Your video appeared like a life saver for me..... Thank you❤❤❤
So fun, I was attending your Udemy Mantaflow course, paused to make a google search, found this video. Then I started the course again and you explained the same :D Your course at Udemy is amazing, thanks !
You helped me keep my drink from going through my cup! Thank you! :)
Thx! My collision problem is gone! Looks way better!
Holy crap thank you so much. Your are the only channel I found explaining this well thank you so much I really appreciate it.
Great tutorial! I've been having fun messing around with mantaflow, but have def run into some of these issues before
Great to hear! Btw I really enjoy your tutorials! Keep it up!
Hi, as many people down here in the comments I was so much lost in fluid simulations errors. I watched a lot of tutorials, but they never explain thoses kind of stuff. So I would like to great you for this great video ! As the name of your channel, thanks to you it's really easier now !
Finally I was saved! Thank you so much - I was lost in so many tutorials…
When the inflow objact was too small compared to the domain sth that usually fixed it for me was too turn up the resolution of th simulation. Thank you for the great video it truly is a big help.
Love you man...
You just solved tons of my problems
Never been baking so musch as now! Seems to be a problem with the simulation a lot. This video is great help. But still a lot of problems.
experimenting with blender. been using Maya since V1 (for my job) and Fusion for fun. also an old after effects guy. Problem with blender and learning is that they change so much with every iteration people get confused by watching tutorials online. example, it looks like they already changed 9:23 for the "bake all" part, from "type:final" to "type "all".. not sure why they would change something like this, when "final" made perfect sense. not entirely blenders fault, its just that people are following older (and by older I mean maybe months ago) tuts that are outdated and not working. this program is SERIOUSLY trial by fire. I've spent so much time doing tutorials over and over and over just trying to get a result. its a bit overwhelming. When I first started using fusion it was predictable and results were the same every time. they barely changed up the important things (UI and UX stuff) and it gave some continuity to learning.
You are so right. Finding the right tutorials is really time consuming with blender because of all these videos of older versions on youtube.
This was terrific! Thanks
Thank you for making this video, other youtubers that are most popular, dont even mention this stuffs, that it seem are crucial for making simulations. Valuables stuff !
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks dude, that solved an issue I had several times and couldn't quite figure out what was going on. My inflow object was too small. Subbed.
Is fun to see how u solve all those problems, It would be even better if that solutions were enough to fix my simluation problems
You awesome man, it helped so much to understand better the functionality and bugs of these simulations
bro, this video is a GODSEND
Thank youu 🙏🙏🙏
Thousand of thanks !! you give answers for common problems in blendering simulation 👍👍
Thank you very much, my fluid didn't work. Now it works !!! I thought it was a Blender 2.83 bug.
Very nicely laid out! I would argue that bringing up the surface thickness is not always a nice way to go as it makes the fluid not touch your collision object anymore, but your explanation is very helpful to understand glitchy behaviour. :)
More often than not I think it comes down to creating realistic objects (nothing in our world is 2D after all) and bringing up timesteps as you mentioned.
Hello, thank you for this video! I am having problems creating a fluid sim running through a pipe where the liquid seems to hover above the surface of the inside of my pipe. Even with no surface thickness it seems to hover over it :( I've tried everything you've suggested in this video and more!
did you ever find a fix for this issue ?
@@razz6539 Hmmm, that was a long time ago but if I remember correctly pumping up the resolution size helps create smaller fluid particles. But of course that increases bake times. I would suggest getting Flip Fluids if you can afford it, I have been using it since and it is much better but it is pricey.
Thank you so much! I was having so many issues with mantaflow and this solved all of them!
Brilliant! Addressed a lot of collision issues I had been having problems with. Thanks 😀
2 days wondering why fluid doenst collide with objects, thanks man!
Thank you so much for this video, it’s very helpful! Although I do wish I found it a couple of hours ago when I was debugging what was wrong with my simulation
I’ve been trying to learn blender from scratch and this video is extremely helpful
Such a great video! I was looking everywhere for an updated tutorial on how to keep fluid inside an object, and it was just by chance I saw that you addressed that in this video!
Thank you! :)
Most useful video ever! You answered the questions in my mind :) Blender crashes during baking. I wish you talk about this in the next videos. Thanks again for this tutorial. You're great
Why didn't you mention the "Is Planar" checkbox when you talked about meshes that don't have a volume/are flat
Can you explain please?
I was wondering that, too.
Thank you so much. It really helped me!
Thanks, this is great and the timesteps tip helps a lot.
Magnificent video. This is a keeper
Thank you for such detailed explanation of all this problems and their solutions. This is really helpfull !
At 5:54 you can turn the tickness of the object to 1. the more you increase it the less problem you'll have with particles spilling out.
You sir are a miracle ❤️
Really nice compilation. Thanks alot!
thankss, you have saved my time
This video is SO informative. Thank you!
Thank you so much, you just saved me a lot of time and frustration
it's really help me mate. thanks a lot
this is amazing i had no idea i was making my flow object to small. 0.100m didnt wanna work and it was driving me nuts.
No matter how big my inflow object is no liquid comes out of it
Up your resolution divisions
increase surface emission of the object it would work
huge help and relief. thanks!
@Blender Made Easy thanks a lot. Trying to make a text a domain to fuel with liquid and didn’t show the particles. Will try this settings! Thank you!
Just for other people in the comments: For easy visualization of normals that people don't use too often in tutorials, you can turn on the Face Orientation check box. Blue faces are outside, red are inside, and it's super quick to see.
OMG THANK YOU SOOO MUCH MY COLLISION OBJECTS WRENT WORKING IT WAS THE NORMALS!!! SUBBED
Thanks for subbing!
@@BlenderMadeEasy lmao didnt expect you to reply
Thanks for the solutions. I had some of the mentioned issues.
great Video....Would love to see another ROcket Fire and smoke exhaust and Thrust
took 1 week for me to find this video, thought my computer didnt support lol, thanks a lot man ;D
Thank you so much! Could you create a pause and stop water animation Tutorial?
I like that idea! I'll look into that! Thanks!
So useful! This is exactly what I was looking for and helped with my problems. Gold video!
thank you sir. It was very helpful
Could you go over how to setup everything for render view? smoke and other similar particle effects don't show up in render view but work for others.
You've saved hours of my time!!!! Thank you
this os the best video ever thanks you so much for this
Dude, this was an absolute life saver. Instant subscribe.
Extremely useful video 5/5
Omg thank you! I spent like 4 hours today on those problems and the only help I found was on a 2008 blog post (not really amazing...)
yup - had all of these. Thanks!
Very helpful. Thanks!
Super Helpful!!! Thanks so much :)
This video is so awesome
Thank you for running into problems so we don't have to :)
best fix video ever, thank you a lot!!!!
Thanks so much, this is awesome! 💖
If your domain is being rendered in the final animation/picture, try keyframing when its rendered. Just random advice I wish I've heard days ago lol. Great vid though by the way, very helpful.
Very precious advice. how do you to his precisely?
Awesome bro u solved my problem.
thanks, it was very helpful!!!
This is a tutorial like gem.
When I use smoke noise the noise will phase through objects. It's not like the old way where it kind of subdivides the smoke making it a higher resolution.
Wow this is very helpful. Thank you
