  • Mook was found on his front porch by his wife shortly after he was shot in the head, and he survived. His interactions in rehabilitation and after he got out led him to his first job in the community violence intervention (CVI) space. From there on out, Mook’s life has been centered around CVI-based work with several different organizations throughout Chicago.
Mook currently serves as a team lead at UCAN Chicago’s Violence Intervention and Prevention Services. His team steps in following violent acts to bring parties together to a non-aggression agreement. Learn more about their services: • Violence Intervention ... .
He also co-founded Impact Social Solutions and has been working on the Y365 initiative to increase collaboration and accessibility of different social services and organizations throughout Chicago. Through this program they empower young people to create life-changing opportunities that ensure safer futures. Their goal is to create an app that will track different programs and places that will bring the community together. To learn more about Y365, visit linktr.ee/theyoung365.
