Hi albert kim ...can you make a tutorial how to install a outside stick antena same qx7 white for more longe range experiense tnkz....pd. dont like pcb stock antenna ....
*Thanks for the great review!* The new features of being able to charge the batteries inside the TX is awesome and the extra modes makes this a great value. Due to the increasing severity of my arthritis I have had to progressively move down from an X9D, to a QX7, to an X-lite and to the original version of this radio. This because of the lower weight so my hands don't tire as readily, but I still have to use the X-lite to fly any D16 models. However, the fact that I can simply remove the extra weights in this version is a real game changer for me and great thing to know. Hopefully, I will get one these when they become available.
Thanks for the follow up review, useful information as always, much appreciated. I got one and the BetaFPV goggles that you reviewed recently and must say it's a great entry combo!
Thanks for the video it will be a good and light transmitter to take anywhere, it will be good if someone design a gimbal protector to trow it in the bag and go

If I buy a drone and it has the frsky xm+ receiver as one of the options will this controller be able to bind with it? New to this trying to understand which controllers bind with certain receivers . Thanks for any help!
I'm attracted to the size. Is this too basic for something like the TinyHawk II's or would it be spot on? The larger "standard" radios just seem very cumbersome for me.
Great review and very useful for me as i have just received one.... Would definitely be interested in a antenna mod as i find the rang a little low..... Keep the great videos coming and look forward to a mod vid if you do one..... 👍👍
Hi, I just brought a Tinyhawk2 and my son in Bataflight after doing a Backup, perform a reset, and even after a restore the drone is like dead no more everything, do you have any idea what can I do to put it back to work? I will really appreciate it. Thanks
I got mine a few days ago (purchased from FPV Cycle, shipping was FAST!) and I gotta agree, this is a nice little radio, and perfect for Whoops or as a travel radio. I am one of those that think the gimbals are a bit loose, but I do like tighter gimbals in my radios. But I would say the tension is "average". The big miss for me (just like the x-lite) is no lanyard lug to hook my strap to. I pinch and have big hands, so just holding the radio doesn't do it for me. I had to fashion a "holder" for my lanyard and it works great now, but would have been nice to have a lug built in. For $40 you really can't go wrong.
Yeah, for $40 I think it checks the majority of boxes for most people for a budget radio in this class. For those that need more, they should consider the higher priced models in the $100 to $150 range that will do a lot more for a lot more people.
@@philevon I'm 6' 2" and have big ish hands, and if i didn't use a strap pinching wouldn't be comfortable to me. It's the same issue i had with the x-lite. But with a strap, no problems!
Hey Albert, I've got the turnigy evolution that I use for a couple micro park flyers. A small radio that looks inconspicuous. Besides flysky to frsky is there a benefit to this over the turnigy? I have trouble pinching the turnigy because of the screen. Is it easier on the beta radio? Or should I just stick with the turnigy?

@@AlbertKimTV no. Also the gimbals are all switched around. Left goes up and right goes down and the left stick doesn't do much but is also backward. I think it's supposed to be that way but the right side is for sure wrong
please explain when it comes to actual flying when one has quads bound in different modes, i.e., one D16 XM+ quad and one D8 whoop. let's say I'm done flying my whoop and want to fly my D16 quad (already bound). will I have to change modes with that button sequence every time fly between quads with different modes?
How is the latency on the trainer port? Does the internal 2.4ghz tx turn off while in trainer mode. I would likely be using an ezUhf Jr module on this but I need the 2.4ghz signal to go silent.
I would be interested in seeing if its possible to put some hall effect gimbals in this because that would make this a much more desirable product to me. I know it has been done with a flysky i6 and the upgrade hall effect gimbals from frsky before so I bet its possible with a but of modification. Either way still looks like a great controller for $40 and would definitely be the one I purchased if I was just getting into the hobby, actually I still wanna get one now because of the size and I already own a frsky x-lite pro. The only week point is the cheaper gimbals because they don't stay accurate very long and you end up with alot of play in the middle stick witch makes it so you have to setup a big deadband for those channels and that's never a good time
I think adding hall effect gimbals might be available as an option for say another $40 cost. So taking the $40 radio to $80. There's no way they can add that and keep the price the same. Also, they are not targeting seasoned pilots like you. These are meant to be an entry level radio for a beginner who will use it for a while and then upgrade later. So longevity is not the main goal of this transmitter at this price point.
