Hello, i am new to the hobby. I have ordered the Tango 2 with the intention of using crossfire in the future, and to play with a sim for now. But i am getting tired of waiting for TBS to ship them. Should i get this instead?
No, this is not going to be a replacement for the Tango 2, but still you can order it, get some sim training and also get some practice with a small quadcopter with a built in Frsky FCC radio receiver.
You can use the OpenTX companion app to remap the sticks or just do it on Betaflight, which will be more easier but will require you to define the sticks each time you set up a new drone.
Is there a danger with having this constantly connected to simulators and charging the LiPo battery? Surely when you're done with a sim, you should remove the battery from the controller and put it into storage charge? Or am I being over cautious here?
That's a good point, but I think that you might be a little bit over cautious (which is a good thing with lipo batteries). On their next version they might want to add an option to disable the internal charge feature but for now as it is not possible I suggest performing a storage charge in case you are not going to use the RC for a while.
