This man is a smart man that appreciates culture. Many don’t realize that successful career criminals would have been successful in almost any walk of life but are typically born in to what they became. Great that UA-cam and Cinema gives them the chance to walk a different path because their insight in to a different world would otherwise be lost. Also loved this movie, charismatic characters that really pull you in to a believable storyline; no cgi needed; just solid actors, script, and filming.

For me, Snatch is Guy Ritchie's "Pulp Fiction". More raw and still evolving as a director, but pure genius and iconic. The Gentlemen is his Django Unchained, being the product of the director really having mastered his craft and his style of filmmaking. Both have fantastic casts, characters, writing, etc. They're standout highlights in the career portfolio already filled with other great works.

Guy Ritchie needs to give us a crossover with Lock Stock, Snatch, Rock n Rolla & the Gentlemen, the toughest part would be getting all those great actors together, but it would be insanely easy to connect all the characters if you just write Bacon(got married & moved away or something) out for the sake of having Turkish as a more prominent character. The Post Card Bandit is about Brendan Abbott who has escaped from two max security prisons in Australia and went on an armed robbery spree before being captured.
Getting Square is totally underrated, as well as one of Heath ledgers early movies, Two Hands
@@deand8070 David Wenham was hilarious in Getting Square. "Warren, he's just an old piss head from Petersham, he wouldn't hurt a fly". 😂
When you want to be a Director but life had other plans 👏 this guy know his stuff
This guy's one of those blokes you could talk to all day about film but you'd always know not to piss him off.
saw this right before covid in 2020. one of the best movies i have ever seen on the big screen!!
This guy is well spoken for a gangster.
The lighting is an active character in Richie's films. Even London itself is a character.
Just remember, "there is no posh part of Croyden". 😊
His dissection and analysation of this film is top grade!
Also, I've just found out this guy was friends with the Krays!, hence why he knows his stuff!
FYI: Guy Ritchie, the guy who created classic British gangster films like Snatch, Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels & The Gentlemen also directed Disney's motion picture classic (arguably) Aladdin. Need I say more lol?
Coach and Fletcher are excellent characters 👍🏻 Ray and Micky are a class act . Great film .
The dialogue in this movie is just 🤌
Mr Gillen this is the 1st time I ever saw you sir. Much respect to you. I will be watching you from now on.
Thanks for your insightful review. Think I'll stream this based on your recommendation.
An ex gangster with a passion for film lmao
the gentlemen is a advice to watch freaking funny
This was a very well done deep dive of a great film. Cheers Stephen!
good to hear from someone who lived the life. good insight.
Great video, thankyou for sharing. Has anyone else commented on your resemblance to Robert DeNiro?
Guy Ritchie is our English Tarrentino
from a right naughty boy 😅😂🤣great vid mate! Subscribed! got a whole load of your other vids in the queue!
Fun fact: Guy Ritchie creates a movie - it's already a classic!
I got this on my recommended after watching "GUESS THE CONVICT" on Beta Squad's channel. Congrats on becoming a CEO.
My dude I could watch your videos all day. This guy explaining everything is perfect. Comes of very intelligent with movies, directing etc... love this and thank you for the time you spent making it so we can enjoy this.
This guy is the British De Niro
This movie is relatively new, you're spot on though...calling it a classic, SO FUCKING GOOD!
Richie has got to be my favorite director with Snatch and Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels at my top 5 favs!
Stephen,
Great review of a great flick, I enjoyed listening to your perspective on the different situations. Thanks!!
That ex-gangster just gave one excellent film critique!!
I came for a Gangster reviewing a movie about gangster and i found Gangster reviewing a gangster movie like a movie director 😂
Matthew in the thumbnail you can tell he lives in texts look how he wields the weapon
Hi Stephen I hope all is well, I have found another film for your reviewing, Dead Man Running, Danny dyer, tamer hassan, 50 cent and a few from the business I think you will like it
Loved your commentary, Mr. Steph Deniro! 😎 awesome movie, the series is even better!

MIK
Love your channel brilliant observations, and your insight is just amazing, keep up the great work =)
Hunan just puts an edge on any tense conversation. Guy's good at appearing to swim calmly in cold waters.
That jacket and that watch, IYKYK chef's kiss
One of my top picks as a film..impressed by the critique.
2:41 that's the most gangster laugh I've ever heard
Excellent review. Just found the channel and subscribed within the first five minutes
I was on this world as a female in the 80's. I grew out of it. I looked very sweet and harmless. Those who knew me knew I had knife skills,a hook that broke jaws and a quick shot. They would sit back and watch if a newbie was disrespectful. I would walk away 3x . People don't comprehend what animal behavior is until you meet people with absolutely no human empathy.
Snatch and lock stock and two smoking barrels are classics
The fact that guy look like De Niro is amazing...😂😂😂
The Coach looking quick over to the side to check on were the other guys was when talking to the one guy was a cool detail.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this amazing film. I agree with you, Hugh Grant’s best performance yet! Really enjoyed the film. God bless to you too! 😊
I love this film 💯🤣🤣🤣
It's brilliant and I have watched it over and over 🙌🏻
Brilliant! Only just came across you, just about to watch more! 😊❤
Mr. Gillen, what a great idea ... an ex-gangster giving your opinion on what i thought was a great and engaging end to end movie. i totally agree that each scene pulled you thru. it was compelling and comparing it to your actual knowledge added something that no other commentary has which was excellent.
i wasn't expecting you to go into character detail which was an added bonus. I'm curious tho of what you made of charlie hunnam, as i thought he carried the role really well. not easy to play opposite both hugh grant and colin farrell and hold your own which i thought he did really well. all the best.
That scene with Colin Farrell makes me laugh out loud too
