sorry but it's a bit like the Python gangter bit. "yes he did nail my head to a table. But i deserved it". Talking about brutal, cold blooded murderers, who'd crack your skull or slice off your nuts on a whim, or because of a small insult, and then in the next breath "he was a gentlemen". Ludicrous. Surreal.

Seems like all these gentlemen? think their still in the mob. Their all on these podcasts talking about the mob as if their still in it. Stop talking about it and get a real job instead of blabbing about the mob. Their getting paid for their appearance to talk about the mob and in some way they think their still connected. SMH

John Alite is his own worst enemy who had created a big following after the Bet David interview. I don't know if he thinks people are stupid or that nobody will take the time to look into the things he says, but he was sadly mistaken if that was the case. My intention is not to talk shit about him, yet I have to hold him accountable for the complete nonsense he says and or lies he attempts to pass of as facts to which there is a handful of them in this interview. I can't believe I just heard him say as I type this "Don't judge others because others can judge on to you" an attempt to quote the Bible which says " Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7 The audacity to say that when this entire interview has been him talking crazy about other people. Is he really that clueless? Just like it is not trolling to leave a comment calling him out on his nonsense, and I don't think everything he does and stands for is bad any means. I actually came across footage my accident of him taking part in politics to which I agreed with what he said and applauded him for being active and actually doing something about it instead of hollow words that I can say I have been guilty of, and shame on me for that. He is correct none of us are perfect yet some of us need a lot more work at it than others. I get frustrated with him when he starts trying to take what I think is a cheap shot at Michael Franzese saying that Sonny isn't his real father. If it was true, it would be a low blow, but what Alite doesn't know is that Sonny happens to be his real father yet the reason many think he's not his father is because Sonny was married when he met Michael's mother who was only 19 I believe at the time. She didn't know he was married when they eloped and soon found out. Sonny wanted to leave his marriage to be with her, but back in that era it was a very different time. Obviously, she was pregnant, and it was forbidden Sonny just leave his wife, and Michael's mother couldn't be pregnant out of wedlock a big no no. So, they had to find her a husband fast. Micheal's mother was beautiful, and men were jumping in line, so it wasn't a problem. The man's name for the arranged marriage escapes me at the moment none the less they quickly got married to which she had Michael. Sonny wouldn't let it go and he eventually got the blessing from the boss of the family allow him to get a divorce and marry his mother. She divorced that guy and married Sonny. However, during all that time, the only few who knew the truth had to keep it a secret that Sonny got her pregnant with Michael because in those days that was a big scandal especially having child and not married in the early 1900's would have led to the woman being an outcast to society unable in most cases to get employment or attend church etc. If you listen to Sammy he even talks about things like this how the Mafia is really supposed to be not what it had become today saying that originally you were not to do anything to embarrass your wife publicly such as seeing other women, but it gradually became you could have a side chick just don't ever bring her anywhere someone will see and get back to your wife. There is a documentary though that goes back to the start of the Columbo family really going into the depth of it, and it actually covers Sonny and this topic because Sonny is a legend in the mob world and Michael actually was one of the youngest most wealthy gangsters ever in the mafia making staggering amounts of cash. I know at one point for many years nobody kicked up as much money yearly as Michael. You know how much pull that gives you with the boss? I will put it this way he never lost a sitdown from that point on. If you ever wanted to succeed in business Michael was the guy to be around having businesses like car dealerships, gas stations, sports agency, movie production, agency finding talent for acting & music, night club, restaurant, real estate etc. You name it he did it and excelled at it. Michael never did testify against anyone, and I heard an FBI agent say that Michael tricked them into thinking he would co-operate, but strung them along for many years never helping them with anything, and finally they had enough after 6 or 7 years of being bamboozled that they told him they had a case coming up he was going to testify or go to prison he chose prison. So, why Alite or anyone for that matter talks shit about him is absurd there is not a single person who can say they went to prison due to Michael. Alite is confused or mistaken when he says Sonny talks about his son testifying against him that wasn't Michael it was his other son from Sonnys other marriage. He should do a bit more homework before saying stuff like this at worst he is lying at best he is furthering the spread of misinformed gossip.

Regarding the comment that the police will let robbers complete the score to make their case airtight, there was a scene dealing with that issue earlier in the film. The same crew was burglarizing a metal storage facility and the same police unit was surveilling them. They were waiting in surveillance or tactical vans while the crew was cracking the safe, and one of the cops made a noise that was out of place on a dark empty street. Robert DeNiro's character, Neil, heard it, and then ordered the crew to drop the job and walk away. The cops saw the crew coming out of the building, but the black guy warned Al Pacino's character Vincent, that they were not carrying anything. So he ordered the other officers to sit still and let the crew walk. When one of the uniformed officers objected, he made that very point that the video did, that all they could pin on the thieves was a breaking and entering charge, which would put them back on the street in mere months. He wanted to catch them with something that would get them hard prison time. Of course, the drawback of this approach, was that the thieves were aware they had been made and were able to turn the tables on the police and lose their surveillance. If not for rival criminals who had crossed the gang and feared their retaliation, protecting themselves by tipping off the police, the gang would have succeeded in ripping off the bank as well. Basically, that strategy failed, and caused a lot of destruction and loss of life that might have been prevented had Vincent been satisfied with charging four men with breaking and entering and calling it a night. Regarding taking the shot on Tom Sizemore, I think the portrayal of Vincent is that he wants to win no matter what, and he's going to take risks and endanger lives because he thinks its the best way to save lives.

TOM H. is an amazing actor but i personally felt both KRAY BROS. movies had a certain goofy cartoonish quality about them i found hard to ignore. i know ideally you would always want a british director fer somethin' like that but quite frankly me thinks QUETIN T. or MARTIN S. woulda done a much better job in general. i also think more emphasis shoulda been placed on how much the twins were influenced by italian / american gangster flicks of the era that is, of course, whenever the fam could even afford to go to the movies which u.k. during that period woulda been somewhat of a luxury. not a bad flick overall but i clearly saw plenty of room fer improvement on all kinda different levels.

I have friends who’s grandfather who was born in march of 1944 I recently found out used to frequent the club the kray twins used to run when he turned 18 it closed the next year when he was 19 but I can’t remember exactly when he said the club closed but he was there on its last official night of being open, and apparently met quite a few famous names there he has some pictures but the only picture I’ve ever seen myself is a picture of him in the club with someone i believe was an mp at this time, and since he was born into somewhat of a wealthy family my friends grandfather already had some modicum of respect in the community, since his family were promiscuous with charity donations and other things that had their names become somewhat recognised, and from what my friends grandfather told us when he told us this story is his father so my friends great grandfather had actually met the kray twins at a pool hall, but I think it’s something crazy to find out that your friends grandfather had someone history connecting him to the history and legacy of the kray twins to think he stepped foot in probably the one building most celebrities back then did and had been in rooms with some of the most influential people of that time A listers and mps at the age of 18-19 that kids of that age now rarely ever get the chance to do
