My son just turned 12 yrs old. I suggested he is in charge of cooking one meal per week. This evening he chose your pork chop recipe. It was a huge hit! We loved it!...Not only did he enjoy shopping for the ingredients, but also the prep and cooking...Thank you for your easy to follow video.. my 12-year-old is now “cooking with confidence” Signed a proud Mom...Lisa
awesome mom! thanks for the share =)
I wonder if he told you he's gay yet.
@@946brandon your a dick lol
@@946brandon What happened in your childhood to make you such a complete bag of shit? That kid will get a better partner than you will ever have because of his knowledge in the kitchen. Enjoy your Kraft Dinner and hot dogs alone in front of the computer trolling 12 year olds.
My Mom insisted I learn to cook. At 52 I still thank her.
He is so much more pleasant when he works alone.
Well that because he doesn’t have to ask someone else for “THE DAMN LAMB SAUCE!”
I feel his pain
Its cause no one's fuckin up
Well also as someone in this business and has learned little things about kitchen about a Sous Chef. He gets annoyed by people who are grown and should know what to do. Here hes teaching people who want to learn and havent been in the business. My sous chef acted just like him in kitchen nightmares but if we were learning the first time he was like this.
Cuz less people are messing up😂🤣
Wow, did exactly that recipee and never had such juicy delectable porkchops in my life. These are better than my mom and grandmom's! Thank you so much for this, early adult life has gotten easier and definently more confident.
my mom smothers her porkchops in sauerkraut. :(
Just did this too! My gawd, the juiciest I’ve ever cooked!
If you want to take it to the next level, you gotta try brining your pork.
Ah yes, the magic of butter.
Did they get to cook through with 4 min each side? Cause pork needs to be fully cooked. Also do you know if I get pork chops with the bone do I need to cook them longer?
My husband cooks with confidence. Not always a great result. He thinks he knows all because at 21, he worked as cook for 3 months at a trendy restaurant in the late '60s. Now he's convinced hotter is better and is addicted to smoked paprika and Valentina's hot sauce. So the rule is, when I cook, he backs off. When he cooks, I bite my tongue and say thanks. For nearly 50 years.
tvcharleytown ouch.
Tell him what you think.
The best thing about cooking for others, is their satisfaction.
Do you think he appreciates wasting his time displeasing you?
*Just mention your taste has changed.*
Sounds like my mum
sounds like my dad lol.
cool
This is exactly the type of recipe video I've been looking for. It's so simple to follow and so good.
That bell pepper recipe was crap! Most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. I didn't have bell peppers so I used granny smith apples. As those were sautéing, I went to add the red onion, which I didn't have, so I used watermelon rinds. Since I didn't have salt or sugar, I used diatomaceous earth. It was already clear that this recipe wasn't going to work, but I have faith in Gordon, so I pressed on. I had to use the leaves from my upstairs ficus because basil is hard to come by here in Italy where I live. Thanks Gordon, the plastic completely ruined my pan. Anyway, I pressed on. I didn't have EVOO so I used 10W40. Needless to say, my wife divorced me.
I think next time I'm going to substitute the apples for peppers and the watermelon for red onion. I'll probably forego the DE and use salt and sugar. And I'll probably use fresh motor oil instead of the stuff from my drip pan.
Thanks Gordon... total fail.
ROFL🤣
I almost took this seriously😂😂😂😂😂
You effed that up
Motor oil... are you serious? That shit is for pancakes, smh!
That was hilarious!
I'm about to try to cook this tonight, Gordon. You and multiple other big chefs inspired me to cook after I got out an appendectomy. I hadn't eaten in 3 days and I was torturing myself watching cooking channels, and now I really enjoy teaching myself, experimenting, and making delicious (or at least edible) dishes.
How'd it turn out
That little trick with making little cuts on the side is amazing. It was always a problem when I cooked pork chops, they always shrank and became bendy and I had to push them on the pan trying in vain to cook them evenly. Thanks Gordon!
Nicely done
Agreed! This was a mindblowing revelation. My chops have never been so good!
Does this work with bacon?
where have y'all been. this is basics 101.
I tried this out today. Such a simple and easy receipe. The red peppers were a delightful. Thank you Gordon.

Mother: I don't like salt and pepper on my pork chops, make me a sandwich
Me: Never again
@@Nicefail87 Bahahahahaha

Everyone has preferences, however, if you liked it that's all that really matters.. You could always learn to cook food that YOU like for yourself and nothing is wrong with that. You don't need others approval on that. Except for the ingredients, if you live with your mom and don't have a job. Understandably.
Besides that, salt and pepper aren't strong ingredients. I think she's really missing out due to limited thinking.
More likely though, you're just joking around. If so, you can ignore all this. 😬👍
Nicefail. Not liking salt and pepper on something doesn’t make them a psychopath. If you don’t like this person, you don’t need to respond. Find people who enjoy salt and pepper. They don’t have to enjoy it. I know someone who doesn’t like chocolate. I was surprised but, I let it go because that’s their life and tastes buds. You can’t control someone’s tastebuds not can you control what they should be liking. Get a life, deadbeat.
@@sakurakentasha1851 spotted the psychopath
Thank you for taking the time to share your expertise with us Gordon. It truly shows in all of your work, how much you care about food and people. And food is such an important asset to people. Thank you so much Gordon for inspiring us to feed ourselves better. The cuts I'm using are a little bit thinner. I started cooking a little over a year ago for my family. And not only do they love it but I love feeding my family it's an experience I feel that everybody should have its something unexplainable.
Made the pan fried pork chops tonight ! Awesome. Gordon I LOVE the way you simplify recipes. The flavor is always there without all the work. You make cooking ( which I Looove) look easy ...Thank you MUCH 😀👍
I made this tonight. It was spectacular. Every instruction was easy to follow and concise. Wow the basil really made that peppers and onion saute EXTRAORDINARY
4 hours on the road, 2 hours stuck in traffic and 20 + Gorden Ramsey videos and I'm ready to become a chef lol.
xDDDDDD Damn
Pretty sure you were excited to get back home
Imagine being quarantined at ramsay’s estate
He'd be yelling you Donkey!!! In two days lol
"YOU CALL THOSE ANTIBODIES, YOU DAFT PIECE OF SHIT?!"
I would PAY for the chance!!! Imagine the flavors, the creativity ... the new recipes!!! AW MAN, just to be a tastor, but learning the whole time! Where do I sign!?!

You f*%#+d the risotto!
I've done this recipe a million times now and it's amazing.
I'm going to give it a shot tonight.
It was 1st time cooking pork chops and my family said it was the best. We had eaten out just about everyday this week but this Saturday I made these pork chops paired with asparagus and mac and cheese , we all ate until we were stuffed. Thank you Gordon!
Chef, I had this recipe tonight for supper. Delish and easy! TYVM!
This looks amazing. Never thought of adding sugar to onions and peppers to caramelize. Will definitely have to try this recipe. Thank you, Mr. Ramsay.
He's an awsome chef and passionate about his cooking thats for sure I love watching him cook .
There is an e in awesome.
@@chrissontt1311 yes there is sorry
hey look a ramsay cooking vid that isnt taped by a dual band optic sniper rifle
do what now?
@JP Stone A lot of gordon's cooking videos are zoomed way WAY in.
He wants you to see what he's doing, at the molecular level.
That's because there was no benefit to it in this video.
People that really know how to cook can easily learn much more from a close up shot of the food as they will with him spending 10 minutes explaining it.
Such as trying to explain how brown to get the butter over just showing it up close.
I know! They suck
@@KodiHammon its because gordon isnt actually cooking in those ones. Its someone else.
Maaaaan I see why this guy is a professional I mean he even looks professional like look at that precision with that knife and how he just knows what to do and when. You can tell he’s put a lot of work into his craft and has lots of skill. Respect.
Never knew you did pork in a frying pan like a steak, did a lovely pork chop today....
Adam Binnie I don’t think I would even try it, because I don’t think it would be tender inside. Was it too chewy? I think the best Porkchop is the smothered version. Slow cooked and tender
@@KevinMphotography Nope, if you don't overcook it it should come out tender and not tough at all. My dad wears dentures and has difficulty chewing, but I made pork chops last week and he ate every piece I gave him, they were soft and juicy cooked in a pan.
I've always used the frying pan for pork chops.
Just followed this recipe. Came out perfect. 👌 thank you 🙏
I wondered why my chops always curled.
Same! I've seen this done before but it was never explained to me. Gotta love Ramsey
You should've sliced from the skin to the fat, up to tiny part of meat. And normally if you put the lid to cover the pan, the pork chop curls
Me 2 dang
what kind of butter was that? and what kind of Butter should you use if your on a diet? also, thank you for showing me how to cut an bell pepper I always had a hard time cutting them up.
I respond better when he's yelling
I, as a extremely layered dysfunctional human being, love when he yells
😂😂😂😂 YES YES
I just cry
"YOU DONUT!!" - Gordon Ramsay
Thank you for your cullinery advice, being a widower, cooking was never my thing.happy Christmas stay safe.
Its like I'm watching a physics documentary
Another great recipe. Gordon Ramsay has inspired me to cook with more confidence my family loves the meals i have prept from his teachings. My respects to a great chef!!
Exactly! I am far from being as good as the worst chefs on Kitchen Nightmares, but he has inspired me to attempt cooking. Now, if only there was a Gordon Ramsay app that could yell and swear at me while I do so...lol
@@GinaBlythe i wouldn't even be mad if Gordon cursed at me for messing up. I would feel honored to have a chef his caliber teach me his ways. Lol
15 year old daughter here looking for ways to cook pork chop and my favorite chef has come to my rescue 💜💜💜
Gordon Ramsey: Pan on.
Me: YES CHEF!!!
LOL...love it!
I said that out loud lol
🤣🤣🤣
Gordon you encouraged me to master my own craft like you mastered yours. I will never be able to thank you enough for that
I just watched this video so I could pan fry pork chops and omg they are to die for thank you Gordon
awesome 😊 i will Make them that way today the only question is is he using sea salt obviously?
I just tried this and it turns out yummy. Tender and juicy pork chops. Thanks a lot chef 👍🏻👍🏻
No problem
Thanks Gordon!! You were literally in the kitchen with me. I made gorgeous pork chops thanks to you and I have to find a way to send you a picture. Blessings to you!
He would be pissed if someone presented him with a pork chop with a garlic clove on top.
Ooo
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The thyme might have been a better choice of garnish.
Just cooked this.
Amazing. Family loved it.
Restaurant quality, thank you sir!
I’ve been vegan for about two years. The other day I bought thick chops, bell peppers, and onions and didn’t know why. Today I see this. Now I know. Thank you Mr. Ramsey. Making these tonight. Great amount of education and tips in just a short amount of time. And for free! Can’t beat that
This I like, practical cooking, thanks for the great vid :-)
i love this guy . He was born November 8th 1966 & i was born November 8th 1957......& HE LOOKS 20 YEARS OLDER THAN ME.
Had everything on hand except for the basil, so substituted a sprig of rosemary which I removed before serving. Knife I used wasnt sharp enough to slit edges so meat (which were thinner, fattier pork steaks rather than fat chops) curled and cooked unevenly.
Came out great, very tasty! Thanks Gordon
Yesterday I made some pork chops that turned out so bland, then tonight I made some more and followed this. I had to stop myself after eating my 3rd chop. So good lol...
I just made it, it turned out to be spectacular! Thank you!
I love this man....haha. I made his beef wellington, scallops recipe and Salmon Recipe...ALL AMAZING!!!!! Easy to follow too.
My man! This turned out great!
Thanks a lot!
Simple and elegant. Very similar to how he cooks a steak.
Excellent pork chop dish! The peppers & onions were delish and the pork chops were tender and full of incredible flavor. My husband said “This recipe is a keeper this Love”.
Just made this and it’s literally the best pork chops I’ve eaten EVER. This man is a goddamn legend!
Thank you for that awesome recipe! ❤
Shouldn't you check the meat to make sure its cooked all the way through? I cooked them for 4 mins per side and they were still bloody. He didn't say how high the heat so I guess I should have turned it up but I was worried about the butter burning.
The video is great! I liked everything!
Alot of fresh seasonings thts what I'm talking about.
Made this last night and my hubby said that they were the best he ever had!! Thank You So Much!!! We Love You Gordon!!❤️
I literally cannot stop thinking I'm hearing Bear Grylls whenever I'm learning cooking from Chef Ramsay!
I'm going to try and make this tonight. I've been following a lot of Gordon's recipes for years now and it's never a bad meal, honestly.
Made it on the first crack. Mixed in some egg noodles with the onion n peppers.
👍👍
Hi, what herbs is needed in this recipee? And do you use Worcestershire or oyster sauce for this? Thank you
1:28 “speed comes, while your finger goes.”
Olive-all in... Beaut-fool...
I think you mean "speed comes. The most important thing is to get your technique right."
Just made this and took my first bite…. All I can say is WOOOW. It’s like a beautiful landscape of flavor in my mouth and I love it.
He always makes it look so easy!
ComebackShane it is really easy
You know what I mean though, he just does everything so smooth and perfect and has it down, but I guess after doing it for so many years it just becomes natural like that. Guess I should probably just start working on proper techniques versus drunk and just whacking away at the veggies and goofing off.
He's right, it's really about confidence. He knows what he's talking about, here. Be mindful, confident, and be inspired. You'll 'get a boost." Appreciate those who learned the trade... but you don't have to follow someone else's recipe verbatim, make it your own. You'll be better for it.
Delicious recipe and awesome cooking tips $thank you for sharing your skill with home cooks!
Absolutely delicious, just out of curiosity, what brand of frying pan is that?
I was wondering that myself.
Looks like it might be a De Buyer pan?
Looks like a Lodge Carbon Steel 10 inch, but I am probably wrong.
Can the garlic thyme butter leftover in the pan be used for anything else? Just curious because it seems like there could be a secondary use... I think just because it smells so good 👌
Do you cook the pork chops on high or medium heat ??
what number is medium high?
and how many minutes on each side? how do i know when to lower it lol
I cooked porkchop her in Thailand for the first time ever in my life, I watched this video really only because I was looking for a time frame to focus on. I didn't have any of the ingredients Mr Ramsey used other than garlic and onions seasoned with salt and pepper basted in butter and they turned out great. My Thai girlfriend only cooks Thai food and I wanted something to eat that I recognized from home. She's going to let me do more cooking. Me and my big mouth. Duh! 🇨🇷🙏👍🇨🇦😉
@Kaian凯安 Steaks are best if you let the inside be a little bit raw.
high heat
Thank you sir I have all these pork chops and didn't know what to do with it. I made all that stir fry I got enough food for my stepson who's a hungry big boy who comes running in my fridge when he comes home from school. Thank you your amazing.
they look absolutely yum, wow , thanks for sharing
u r welcome !! :)
I think you could cook cardboard in olive-oil and butter and it would be delicious.
Outstanding! Thanks for the new recipe!
This is why Gordon makes the big bucks. Looks amazing and will try it. I like the little tips like cutting the fat to keep pork flat.
Also, thanks for saying what oil you use. I cook alot with extra Virgin oil. Thx again.
Imagine being Gordon Ramsay’s dad
It turned out great! Thank you Chef!

About to make this recipe!! Wish me luck your recipes have never let me down!!
Thanks for letting us know what temp to cook the chops at 🤦🏽♂️
Beautiful! Thank you. 🌺🌸🌺
Follow the recipe carefully:
1. Throw the pork chops into a fry pan.
2. Turn on the heat.
Just tried this recipe. All I can say is wow. That's the best pork chop I've ever made. I love trying new things in my cooking experience. I've never experienced pork chops like this before. Thanks for the help in creating tasty food.
I’m used to him swearing like a sailor.
Thank you, so much love that red pepper onion. Simple as that....Your the greatest Ramsey!
Best show i ever watched
Master chef, what temperature to start cooking the chops? Thanks!
Wow, so many experts here! Gordon is CREATING the video and posting it. The UA-cam experts have posted nothing.
I'm late to the party but just made this recipe and it's delicious. Very easy and quick too! Thanks so much Gordon for sharing your wonderful skills!
I need to hire him full time in my house.
I think that'll cost you somewhere between $400k-$45million
Pork chops and eggs for breakfast this morning. Didn't have any peppers so I just went with some purple onions and two over easy eggs. Heaven!
I haven't been able to repeat this myself yet. Once they came out juicy but I had a funny feel in my gut for a good two hours afterwords. Two other times no stomach trouble, but boy did they come out dry! Dry pork chops! More like pork chips! I'll get there, I'll just keep on trying. I can't bring myself to fry sugar though... it just looks morally wrong. This video makes me ravenously hungry, providing motivation, in addition!
Pick another butcher. You shouldn't feel bad on cooked pork
Can't make yourself fry suager looks morally wrong lol. Well get over yourself dipshit that just sounds ignorant seriously!! Just get used to it not tasting nearly as good as it can due to you being a dumbass!! Looks morally wrong what a idiot!!!!
Frying sugar is exactly how you make caramel. Putting spices in the sautee pan and letting them cook is how you unlock the flavors.
@John Hosp Hey buddy, you feeling ok man? Seems like you're having emotional issues to get all bent out shape cause someone on the internet doesn't understand certain cooking principles. Hope you're feeling better!
caramelize then
So delicious I made it ,! Thank you so mush God bless you all. 💖
Best chef since the Galloping Gourmet : )
i like how he doesnt say "you are gonna make good food" he says this will improve your confidence. hes not showing you how to be a better cook, hes showing you how to be a better person
Does anyone think Rosemary would do well in place of Thyme?
Hell yeahh!!
why not use both? or one or the other? You are the music maker, the dreamer of dreams you are the artist with the brush in your hands make it your own.
The sub captions makes this a hilarious video while still being educational. You need to hear the hissing to keep your hecklers away from criticizing your stir-frying technique and the red wine-vinegar explains to the peppers that it's time for the sugar and not to set ablaze. Also, the smell of pepper battle smells incredible.
I added some chili flakes and damn it’s a whole new flavor.
Try some cayenne pepper on your pork chops. I'm not sure why I ever tried that but I really like it.
I can't wait to make this combo! Thanks!!
