Here hes teaching people who want to learn and havent been in the business. My sous chef acted just like him in kitchen nightmares but if we were learning the first time he was like this.

My husband cooks with confidence. Not always a great result. He thinks he knows all because at 21, he worked as cook for 3 months at a trendy restaurant in the late '60s. Now he's convinced hotter is better and is addicted to smoked paprika and Valentina's hot sauce. So the rule is, when I cook, he backs off. When he cooks, I bite my tongue and say thanks. For nearly 50 years.

That bell pepper recipe was crap! Most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. I didn't have bell peppers so I used granny smith apples. As those were sautéing, I went to add the red onion, which I didn't have, so I used watermelon rinds. Since I didn't have salt or sugar, I used diatomaceous earth. It was already clear that this recipe wasn't going to work, but I have faith in Gordon, so I pressed on. I had to use the leaves from my upstairs ficus because basil is hard to come by here in Italy where I live. Thanks Gordon, the plastic completely ruined my pan. Anyway, I pressed on. I didn't have EVOO so I used 10W40. Needless to say, my wife divorced me.
I think next time I'm going to substitute the apples for peppers and the watermelon for red onion. I'll probably forego the DE and use salt and sugar. And I'll probably use fresh motor oil instead of the stuff from my drip pan.
    Thanks Gordon... total fail.

Everyone has preferences, however, if you liked it that's all that really matters.. You could always learn to cook food that YOU like for yourself and nothing is wrong with that. You don't need others approval on that. Except for the ingredients, if you live with your mom and don't have a job. Understandably.
Besides that, salt and pepper aren't strong ingredients. I think she's really missing out due to limited thinking.
More likely though, you're just joking around. If so, you can ignore all this. 😬👍

Nicefail. Not liking salt and pepper on something doesn’t make them a psychopath. If you don’t like this person, you don’t need to respond. Find people who enjoy salt and pepper. They don’t have to enjoy it. I know someone who doesn’t like chocolate. I was surprised but, I let it go because that’s their life and tastes buds. You can’t control someone’s tastebuds not can you control what they should be liking. Get a life, deadbeat.

He's right, it's really about confidence. He knows what he's talking about, here. Be mindful, confident, and be inspired. You'll 'get a boost." Appreciate those who learned the trade... but you don't have to follow someone else's recipe verbatim, make it your own. You'll be better for it.

Can the garlic thyme butter leftover in the pan be used for anything else? Just curious because it seems like there could be a secondary use... I think just because it smells so good 👌

I cooked porkchop her in Thailand for the first time ever in my life, I watched this video really only because I was looking for a time frame to focus on. I didn't have any of the ingredients Mr Ramsey used other than garlic and onions seasoned with salt and pepper basted in butter and they turned out great. My Thai girlfriend only cooks Thai food and I wanted something to eat that I recognized from home. She's going to let me do more cooking. Me and my big mouth. Duh! 🇨🇷🙏👍🇨🇦😉

I haven't been able to repeat this myself yet. Once they came out juicy but I had a funny feel in my gut for a good two hours afterwords. Two other times no stomach trouble, but boy did they come out dry! Dry pork chops! More like pork chips! I'll get there, I'll just keep on trying. I can't bring myself to fry sugar though... it just looks morally wrong. This video makes me ravenously hungry, providing motivation, in addition!

Frying sugar is exactly how you make caramel. Putting spices in the sautee pan and letting them cook is how you unlock the flavors.

The sub captions makes this a hilarious video while still being educational. You need to hear the hissing to keep your hecklers away from criticizing your stir-frying technique and the red wine-vinegar explains to the peppers that it's time for the sugar and not to set ablaze. Also, the smell of pepper battle smells incredible.
