I really respect Dr. Peterson as a wordsmith. I love the fact that he thinks a lot before he speaks.

Jp doesn't degrade or disregard Tate. Goes for truth to understand where he's coming from, then carries on. Peterson knows ppl... listen and find out..even with bits and pieces that have yet to form in someone's mind. He probably feels deeply for Tate...but may take issue with Tates 'reasons', because that's who JP is. Empathic and Understanding...(any of you oppose this, why?)

This was very well phrased. I can't imagine JP thinks highly of Andrew Tate. They appeal to the same crowd, but JP is on a far higher spiritual and moral plane than Tate. Despite all Tate's empty rhetoric about religion and morality, his values are clearly money, power, and women.

Andrew Tate fits the latter (far more admirable than most) and I think Peterson's view here is that he mostly thinks negatively of his character. This is the precisely why I like his response. I don't think he's roasting him but I don't think he's being humble and balanced either; simply sticking to an analysis objectively as he can.

The person, Tate, is evolving. The phenomenon is already well established as a net positive (by a considerable margin).
Peterson is likely taking into consideration that he approached Tate via his daughter and there resulted only a relatively minor, embarrassing, social media pop, negative towards the daughter.

My takeaway from both JP and @crazypolite, though, is that a person that is unwilling to admit to fault SOME of the time will end up being wrong ALL of the time. They get stuck in a position where they're both unable and unwilling to learn from mistakes.

Anyhow, Andrew tate is this person who do the sort of multiplying his gathering. What he does is convince needy people or people that needs affirmation to pay him then he's got a team who deals the social media thing. And pay dividends to those who subscribed/believes his empty viewpoints.

It's so refreshing to hear someone admit that they don't know much about a subject or a person, and reserve judgment explicitly because of that. I also find it affirming, as I've gotten a lot of heat and argument over the years for insisting on the right to not give an opinion if I don't feel I have enough information to have an informed opinion.

I'm not personally convinced that he doesn't know much about him. He tends to seem, or at least used to seem, very au fait with issues regarding deplatforming high profile people, censorship, masculinity issues, etc etc. I'm still open to the idea, but I'm also open to the idea that he's not a massive fan but would rather not alienate the element of his viewership that overlaps with Tate's.

It seems to me that both Jordan and Andrew share a unique message that is attractive to young men- though I dislike making the comparison between the two simply because they are so different in their values & personal character. Both of them emphasize the importance of responsibility, hard work, and getting your life in order. However, the conclusions that Jordan and Andrew present are wildly different. Tate’s message is money, influence, sex- the sigma male icon. Jordan, on the other hand, emphasizes the importance of pursuing what is meaningful in life and pursuing the highest possible good/truth.

The fact is that young men are so completely and utterly starved for this message that Dr. Peterson himself cannot deliver it to everyone who needs to hear it. There are so many young men who simply just view themselves as incompatible with Dr. Peterson's teachings and thus go through life without a fatherly figure telling them to get their act together. People like the Tate brothers serve as an alternative to the wisdom of Dr. Peterson. They are like big brothers who have everything you want to achieve, and their guidance may rough you up a little but it certainly is better than surrendering to becoming a helpless loser. Chances are if you find success following the Tate brothers you will eventually wisen up to the teachings of Dr. Peterson and ancient literature through sheer life experience.
It’s not only the message. It’s the scamming that Andrew rate is performing. He is taking advantage of desperate men to make his own money. I disagree with Peterson on quite a few things but I believe he has good intentions that aren’t purely self serving.
Of which is not as fleeting as the previous. Also spiritually bankrupt at the end of your life.

Good message. Just to add to this, if you're reading this while laying in the morning like me, it's probably best to get up and start the day. Even if it's a lazy sunday morning, I know I would be happier if I get up right now, take a shower, eat some breakfast and get outside. Being mindful of digital entertainment usage is good. I totally acknowledge your first 3 points about not stressing at all, remain calm all the time and be positive however, i would like to object on last point which says do what makes you happy,
in my opinion and strictly in my opinion this idea is flawed because it kind of promotes procrastination, if someone is lazy, playing video games or wasting his time over useless things from which he gets this happiness, isn't it similar to addiction!?!?, moreover this also contradicts with the philosophy of self development, from my observation on what i have seen, that is the case. To support my view a bit more, i would like to share with you about a certain character which i chanced to read on about. In the Feudal age of Japan, there existed a samurai name Miyamoto Musashi who was considered to be the greatest swordmen in japanese history, such high was his might in that Period, that he was bestowed the title of 'the invincible under the sun'. In one of his writings Musashi told his disciples to be comletely free from all kinds of affections such as love or marring to someone and strictly follow the 'Way of strategy'.
P.S. This is an opinion, that is completely free from hate. I am still in the Phase of learing and far from being perfect, if you have any objections i would be more than happy to hear them.

Honestly that would be a brutal interview. Only because they know what's going on but they come from two different points. The Tate bros are on the money, but everytime Jordan Peterson speaks about the narrative they try to attack him, so he makes interviews stringed out in a hour and if you listen to the whole interview. Dr. Peterson will stretch out the truth but you'd have to listen for a hour or two to pick up on it. I noticed Tim pool doing the same thing when he got swatted multiple times. He'd say left wing shite and I'd be like huh what was that. That's how much power these Lefty's and demoncrats have. They'll censor. Tate bros and Peterson speak truth. The agenda doesn't like this at all.
It would be interesting to see how it is done because it would be nice if Andrew softened himself a bit for it in reflection of how Jordan's tone is. I think he is staying quiet and for good reason because he doesn't want to damage anything that could prevent discourse between the two.
Tate sitting down with characters like Peterson and Rogan will break the internet. The thought of it already is shaking our network connections. But through time, there's just an obvious line drawn between the three. The internet already belongs to the matrix, airlines, SEOs, mainstream media, google, etc. While the matrix will mostly not allow that to happen, but it's their undeniable nature to make money out of such assembly, hence the delay and hold up on info distribution. On the other hand, Musk is a force to reckon with by the mainstream media and the matrix that could lead the way to make this happen. I can sense a perfectly orchestrated power move from both sides. I'm prepared to take a hit on this and for people to even hate me for this. I've given Andrew Tate a year to get to know him as a man and what he does in his life. I 100% agree with you. Your comment reminded me of one of my favorite books. Present and Future, by Carl Jung (in my native language, it is called Presente e Futuro. Not sure if this would be the same name in english). In this book, Jung explains how people in his time would have many moral dilemas, problems and insecurities. But, instead of trying to find an awnser to their problems by themselves, they prefer to get statistical and generalized awnsers for their individual problems. This results in a massification where individual opinions are opressed and populist voices, false prophets and other public figures that sell an unique solution to all of our problems arrise. I belive that, although this book is from around 1940, this scenario is still very modern. People like Tate and many other influencers and politicians could be considered one of those "false prophets". Awnsers for individual problems cant be padronized. They must be forged deep inside ourselves and every pearson requires a different awnser that only they can know. Like Sartre once said, you are doomed to be free. And even the act of letting your fate be dictated by a false idol is an individual choice by itself. I don't see Tate as an "enemy" the same qay I wouldn't want to see any populist politician or influencer as an "enemy". If Tate died today, another pearson would simply replace him. They are more the sympthoms of a problem then the problem itself. The real question isn't "how to defeat someone like tate" but "why are people following people like tate? What lacks in their individual lifes? What can we do to motivate those people to find their own awnsers? What are their pains and what are they looking for?". In my opinion, the only way to do that is through love and empathy. Hear what other people have to say. Open your heart and let yourself be impacted by their words and their worlds. The world is funny in the way that everything is interconnected. We have two men with different personalities. If we view them like two of our uncles, it quite clear which uncle we would favor and spend more time with.

I think Peterson resonates more with people struggling with apathy, grief, sadness, fear. Guys like Tate or Goggins would resonate more with people stuck at the "anger" stage wich is placed higher on the pyramid of transformation concept (it goes like this : apathy < grief < fear < anger < courage < desire < purpose < love). What's interesting is that those Tate and Goggins personnas are themselves stuck in the anger - courage themes (which is a lot of self sabotage like pain resistance/workouts etc...) but they would actually need some spiritual work to reach a wiser, more loving theme. He's pretty motivating and I think he makes some excellent points about modern masculinity and that's why he's achieved the resonance, but I personally hate moralising on anyone, however I do think Tate hides behind the vale of comedy and perhaps recently religion to excuse some of the things he's said and done. It's true what JP says about aiming for competence and responsibility rather than wealth, but I do think there's value in a means to an end.

In my estimation, young men are starved for role models who embody characteristics that are classically masculine. Parts of Tate’s character is made up of these virtues, (combative, intelligent, stylish, cool, business savvy, etc) but it’s also coupled with many flaws that are characteristic of a person lacking in moral character. im not convincted that young men in general are looking for a role model to follow. i never had any desire to have one. i never thought about what my role is as a male in the world.

not everyone had the same life and abilities that Jordan has. Tate is, like every other scammer, a persona, a false example that a man can be successful without spending a lot of money and time on education. Whie I agree taht would be good, not everyone is fit to be a psychologist or an engineer or a computer scientist. Tate's pride come from being a sucessful man.

Lot of these self proclaimed successful people are a hypocrite and while that is also a basic human trait, nothing to be looked up to or be inspired from. he stopped webcam years ago and now regrets it and preaches against it? He saw an opening in the market and took it. If it was something else like maybe E-commerce he would of gone down that route. No difference really except his employees where all women get payed a lot more then what they used to.
@@ScholarSupremei think that's exactly what the op was pointing out: tate's lack of morals. seeing the "market", as you put it, for degrading human decency (tate himself has claimed that the women who eventually worked for him hadn't been a part of the sex industry previously) and profiting off it speaks volumes about tate's moral character, and the op is making the point that people deserving of the title of a role model should be held to a higher moral standard
