      Yeah, it's the problem, like when you dont know how to do something at work, you look like a newbie when you ask about it, old workers might teach you and mess with you for it, but next year when a new guy is hired, you'll teach him with the old guys, you have to accept to be helped before being fully "accepted" in a way

    Hit 15 months sober the other day... no booze or weed. I was a freaking mess... 20 years of hard drinking. These 2 men and many other in the Podcast community helped me immensely. Thanks Jordan and Theo. And if u are trying to get sober there is hope for u. I never thought it was possible.. but it certainly is. Gang gang

      Yes, I thought about this interview and wondered about it.
      To some aspects, what I might expect, then some deep personal words from them both.
      Peterson able to talk about legal battles ongoing, so unsure as to what one might expect in a situation like that, yet making it part of the discussion.

      Think that should be reversed, speaking of Rogan. I can't find anyone funny these days especially Joe Rogan but he's smart. He's had to change up his podcast because The Shawn Ryan Show was nipping at Joe's heels in the #2 podcast spot. Joe was just having the same people & Comedians on over & over just to promote his club.
      A small % of the population goes or has ever been to a Comedy club. The great days of Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor & a few others are gone thanks to our wacky society

Your words helped me become a person I am proud to be. Jordan, my children will exist partly because of your words. I thank God to have heard you when I did. I love a man I have never met.       @@b4ltzr But what could be smarter than asking questions? Theo definitely isn't the most educated on a lot of topics but intelligence is by definition abstract thinking and curiosity to seek out knowledge.
      You can be highly educated but not very intelligent , just as you can be highly intelligent whilst uneducated in traditional fields.
      I really love how this episode showcases two completely different types of high intelligence working together 🙂

      Edit: It is one of the biggest issues in the West at the moment, it is why I think there is so many people seeing Therapists, addicted to porn and on anti depressants. People have forgotten how to interact on a Human level. When is the last time you talked to a stranger in public? Or even had someone say "excuse me" instead of just blowing by you?       Best part of Jordan Peterson is when he got famous he ghosted all his patients. This is of course after he published that paper about how people can be manipulated politically if you tell them they are victims.     I could listen to Theo and jp talk for hours!!! Watching Theo open up so easily and show his intellectual side was great! And seeing jp soften and laugh more than I’ve ever seen him in all his interviews was so so heartwarming!!!!! A podcast show with the two of them talking about current topics or psychology or religion whatever would be a hit!!

    I love that Theo asks for a definition as some people are too proud to question as to appear less intelligent. My father always told me to ASK if you do not completely understand, don't fake it as it doesn't serve you or the person who is offering you a meaningful conversation. Miss my dad.

    I like that JP appears to be relaxed and comfortable with TV. It seems, on some level, that they respect, 'get', and appreciate each other. They're at ease and sincere ... in part why they're such a treat to watch.

I love that because Theo has become a national treasure as a result of the podcast, and Jordon himself has reached MILLIONS OF LIVES as a result of the podcast.     Dr Jordan Peterson is one of the dwindling sane voices. I agree with his point about solving the problem of posts by trolls, etc. Social Platforms should at least focus on vetting their own advertisers instead of "fact checking" profile posts. There is an assumption of safe shopping with ads approved by Facebook. There is no consumer protection and there are too many sketchy sellers.

      I think this is part of JPs magic- he is just himself and sees people as just themselves - he doesn’t (imo) feel the need to try and dumb down his speech for anyone- there’s no preconception that a non intellectual won’t understand- it’s always a very personal interaction in which there are no wolves and no sheep to be seen.

    I love listening to people like Jordan Peterson, that level of thought and understanding makes me realise how much myself and many others don't know, or how dumb we are you could say! I'm grateful because people like this can help everyone to move onwards and upwards (even if some are kicking and screaming in the process).

      i suggest looking into literally anyone else: goldman, vonnegut, chomsky, bucky fuller, benjamin, boudrillard, adorno, atwood… there are so many social analysts/philosophers/thinkers that have infinitely more to offer than this dude.     Found Jordans message 5 years ago. I was 230lbs of misery.
    Decided to see who I could be if I took care of myself like I was someone I cared about. Now today, at 42 years old, am absolutely the best shape of my life. 30lbs of muscle done the hard way and great cardio. Every relationship has improved and self confidence is through the roof. I owe the second half of my life to this man, and I can not thank him enough for his message.

      His comments about China are not entirely correct. Chaining knives up inside people’s homes? Automatic fines for jaywalking? Don’t be ridiculous.. As a resident here, I can confirm these are false.
      Furthermore Peterson fails to qualify his assessment of climate change models.. and comparing them to economic models? Of course humans can’t accurately predict the future, but to plainly ignore current trends is akin to intellectual dishonesty

      JP has talked to a lot of great people but Theo brings out the absolute best in him. He did at least one previous show with Theo and it was the most relaxed I've seen JP both times. Great combo.
