halford's voice is one of a kind. and the band as a whole, they were so damn good. was so awesome to see them finally get in the HOF, even though the HOF is a joke.
OH MAN !... I'd have LOVED to have seen Priest on their "Fuel for Life" tour ! I really dug Turbo... not as great as Screaming for Vengeance, Defenders, British Steel but up there with Painkiller IMO... it's just that experimentation with the guitar synths that enraged Priest and metal fans at the time... but HOLY F*CK "Private Property", "Turbo Lover"/"Locked In" and "Out in the Cold" are AMZING tracks ! I'd have loved THIS tour for the inclusion of these songs to their stellar catalogue.
@@paulwalsh2344 I am SO happy to read this! Turbo gets alot of hate, but this was the album that brought me to Priest. I had heard Breakin the Law and You Got Another Thing Coming, but Turbo came at a time when I became interested in hard rock. Then of course I backtracked and discovered many gems since then🤘🔥
These legends just got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2 days ago. It was about 30 years too late but everybody knows the Hall is full of it anyways so whatever. Regardless they seemed very happy and honored to be inducted so I'm happy for them. Nobody deserves it more than the metal gods.
How many bands that were directly influenced by Priest, were inducted before them? Priests influence has been profound. Ushering in completely new sub-genres of music. That is truly the measure of their greatness.
Judas Priest is the definition of Metal music. Both music and outfitwise. They brought studs and leather to metal music scene. Great reaction and always on point, thank you so much! P.S. You know what`s funny. You mentioned the word "unleashed". Their live album is called "Unleashed in the East" 🙂 An byt the way. One of the best live albums ever made.
This song is fierce, and the cherry on top is this is a live performance ! Off the chart vocals and guitars to die for ! In a word, simply this is Judas FUCKIN Priest ! Cheers from down under \m/\m/
Judas Priest has been my fav band for over 40 years now. They always sound incredible live Always! They are a metal machine. Rob Halford voice can be subtle one minute and pierce the heavens the next. Metal gods!
Love love this song. Always have. Rob is a great frontman. His voice is my happy place. No matter the song his voice brings me happiness. His range is insane. Love my metal gods!
I'm Gen-X grew up in the 80's and cannot Imagine anyone who likes Rock or Metal not knowing who Judas Priest is ?? Glad they got into the RRHOF even though they should have been in 20 years ago !!!
Rob Halford unleashes...lol....he is one of the original prototypes of Metal singers...probably the first ever....they call him The Metal God for a reason......check out "Unleashed in The East: Live in Japan" a killer live album also
You're not too far off young lady I'm an X Outlaw Biker and when I put on the leathers the spikes studs flew the colors I became a whole different person than when I didn't
FunFacts: I think this was the Turbo album and tour Rob Halford did completely sober from drugs and alcohol. Went to rehab for his own health, not because it was a "cool" thing like nowadays...
Hey guys great reaction! You know, funny you mentioned unleash, as they actually do have a compilation album entitled "Unleashed in the East". Just thought I'd share that. Long live Rock n Roll 🤘
That was from the Turbo Love tour.. that was my first Priest concert. It was badass. So after that I've seen them 8 times. I met Rob Halford at the Roxy in Phoenix. I was there to see a cover band playing. The lead singer announced him in the audience. He was in a both next to me. Did even see him there. I freak out and got his autograph. Then a few days later he quit the bad and then later they announced the new singer. It was Tim "The Ripper Owens ".The singer from that night. Then they made a movie about that hole thing "Rock Star ". Crazy how the unexpected happens. Same as I met everyone. Met Steve Harris in 1987 in a mall before a concert. He was shopping. Met Gene Simmons at the Marriot hotel after the concert. Met Anthrax after a concert at Circle K. CRAZY SHIT!
Dare to separate one second of this video and say "Ok i love this moment the best" - impossible. The whole, complete thing is unmatchable to anything. 🤘🤘
you 2 are awesome!!!!... I lived through metal being 60 year old... the 80s were the shit... I'm glad to be a part of that .... HEAVY METAL AT IT'S PRIME!!!!!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Yes, it was in Dallas. If anyone wants to watch the full concert just look up Priest Live on UA-cam. There are ads between every song, but it's still worth watching.
This is Legend ! The Queen and the King ! Glen Tipton , J . K. Downing , and the others are so technic 🤟 . The tones and guitar's arragements are spectacular Travis ! Great references GuyZ . Prog , with advanced sounds
That whole concert is a masterclass on Rocking....I suggest you watch more of The Fuel For Life Tour....Judas Priest.....The Green Manalishi is kick ass
and you're not wrong about the bass...theres no mistaking how skilled KK and Glen are on guitar, how fluidly they can swap back and forth through a solo...but, you can't take away from Ian an his ability to keep that rhythm in lock step through those dueling guitars so that everyone sticks the landing!
The stage was so intricate with robot arms and rising drum stage that after the tour they thought that surely they made money. The manager said they didn’t make a dime off the tour. They demanded to see the books. After setups every night and paying the roadies they made nothing. Lesson learned
Fun fact: Lead singer Rob Halford was the first to introduce leather outfits and spiked collars in the Heavy Metal world. Everybody said "cool" and adopted it then he came out of the closet and said he liked them because he was gay! The Metal crowd got stuck in gay outfits!
@@IkeVMAX4That, and leather and spikes and bullet belts IS cool, as they make you look like biker badasses. ;) Hell, they might as make you look like Mad Max, which is also cool. ;)

Nothing better than Judas Priest in their prime. I would really like to go back in time and be there, this performance is amazing.
Was there for this tour seen them from vengeance to painkiller halford was incredible
Seeing them perform this on the Turbo tour in 1985 in Nashville was one of the eternal moments of my youth.

tbh f*ck that hall of fame, ozzy isnt in it, not as black sabbath or solo, and he practically invented heavy metal.
The hall is a big shit
"Sworn to avenge.
Condemn to Hell.
Tempt not the blade, all fear The Sentinel."
🤘
This is their best song!
@@ctfan1486My fav is probably Touch of Evil, as that was my very first metal song PERIOD. Still, this song sounds VERY fun to try and learn on guitar.
KK Downing and Glen Tipton are one the best guitar duos of all time.

Funny that at the end you talk about how unleashed he (Rob Halford) is, 'cause their first Live-album from 1979 is called 'Unleashed in the East'.
