I just wanted to say. I had the great honor of seeing Priest live in concert in 84 - 86 - & 88. The tours were Defenders Of The Faith - Turbo - & Ram It Down. I have all of their live in concert stuff like you guys were watching here. But....nothing....compares to actually being there!! They are awesome & always....puts on an awesome show!! :)
Yep Glen Tipton and K K Downing started it all metal duo’s they influenced many bands. That song is 40 years old from the British Steel album in 1980. I was 17 years old and traveled 200 miles to go to that concert
he was and when he came out everyone was shocked, his response, i thought y'all knew look at what i was wearing leather with sparkly shit leather gowns with silver and gold studs, i did'nt care, still my favorite heavy metal band ever
My high school band used to play this as a gig-opener, a brutal, fast, and absolutely glorious for contemporary 80's teenagers. Guitars acting as axes, drums in rapid fire-mode, all wearing leather and jeans. Ah, the times and memories.
Judas Priest is my all time fav band. They still amaze me. In concert they shine. Like a machine. Remember Rapid Fire was on British Steel. This was in 1980. They helped define a generation. The 80’s metal revolution 🔥it was a epic decade🔥
This was released on British Steel in 1980 and is still regarded as highly influential as one of the very early predecessors to thrash metal. That may be true, but its just one of the many dimensions of the mighty Priest to me.
Judas Priest 'Heros End'.... a MUST reaction! Came out in the 70's BEFORE the term 'heavy metal' was even coined! The Priest were on of the grandfathers of metal.... pioneers if you will.
The laserwork represents workers in the British Steel industry in the West Midlands where Judas Priest members heard the pounding of the big hammers that were used, every morning on their way to school.. Heavy Metal \m/
The very definition of heavy metal. Think that this is from their 1980 album British Steel, the true godfathers of heavy metal. Saw them live back in 81 but also in 2015 and 22. Most appreciated songs Exciter and Hell Rider.
I've seen the Metal Gods since the early 80s and you can't describe the experience unless you are there in person.! 1980 was my first experience. They headlined with the Scorpions and Def leppard ! only 10 bucks! Best $ 10 bucks I ever spent! The British Steel tour
Holy crap unreal Got one for you Blood red skies live..... Gonna check to see if you did riding on the wind live 1982. What could be one of the top 5 metal vocal performances of all time
When I was in a Priest tribute this one was of my favs each night! And "Grinder". It was the 30th Anniversary of the album "British Steel" and they played the entire album in order.
This DVD is incredible. They played British Steel in its entirety then after played a bunch of classics like The Ripper, Hell Patrol and even Freewheel Burning
British Steel came out in 1980 .. I learned how to play guitar to Priest! This album changed metal as we knew it back then! They went to simple bar chords and Cranked Marshall's. Simple SELLS ! ASK. AC/DC . FLAT OUT THE METAL WORLD CHANGED AFTER THIS ALBUM WAS RELEASED!
The end of the song is a sampled gun shot repeating ,goes right into Metal Gods. John Lennon is Playing pots and pans at his house partying with Priest. Marching in the streets,,clanging iron feet...

Rob Halford is arguably the one responsible for the Heavy-Metal Leather look.
It's not arguable. He absolutely was.
he was and when he came out everyone was shocked, his response, i thought y'all knew look at what i was wearing leather with sparkly shit leather gowns with silver and gold studs, i did'nt care, still my favorite heavy metal band ever
Ehh. Kinda. Kiss , even though not metal were wearing leather and studs in 1974-75
No argument
Kiss started it but Judas priest made it cool

Exactly right. Still enjoying JP at nearly 60 years old.

Judas Priest 'Heros End'.... a MUST reaction! Came out in the 70's BEFORE the term 'heavy metal' was even coined! The Priest were on of the grandfathers of metal.... pioneers if you will.

When I was in a Priest tribute this one was of my favs each night! And "Grinder". It was the 30th Anniversary of the album "British Steel" and they played the entire album in order.

This song is metal meat & potatoes - sustenance for life.
