I flew from Atlanta to Philadelphia to this show twice. She loves to dance and it’s so evident in this performance. Actually the whole show. Amazing performance.

He didn’t get erotica like I wanted him to. I cried the first time I saw it and so did people in the audience . It’s mesmerizing and my favorite performance of all time.
For me, "Erotica" is the best perfomance of Confessions tour.

Fun fact: this version of Erotica is actually a demo of the song that leaked some time ago and became a cult favorite amongst fans so when she performed it, it was like a little wink to those fans who knew of its existence, kind of like an "if you know you know" situation lol
I can only imagine the look on the faces of the people who knew the song when she sang "you are who you are" they must've freaked out omg 😭

I had heard the other lyrics and loved them, so it was amazing that she did this version in the show
I attended six different Madonna Tours and Confessions was my favourite. She literally blew the roof off of the arena with the energy of Music Inferno. I danced so much that i got a stitch in my side.
Music Inferno is one the best performances ever happened in the history of music entertaining!!!
Sooo many references in the disco section. Music mashed up with The Tramps’ Disco Inferno. Her dancing in the red dress in the intro is an homage to Tina Turner’s Acid Queen in the movie TOMMY. The white suit is of course Travolta in Saturday Night Fever and the white leotard with the blue and purple stripes is basically a copy of ABBA’s stageoutfits . You Thrill Me is what was totally worked into the heavier Erotica. And this whole ’movie’ is directed by Jonas Åkerlund who also directed her videos for for Ray Of Light and Music.
Jonas is also responsible for directing Truth or Dare and I'm Going to Tell You a Secret. :D

PARADISE NOT FOR ME is a masterpiece from her MUSIC album in 2000 !You have to listen to the long studio version it's so beautiful !
You Thrill Me was the original demo that eventually turned into Erotica. There is a bootleg called The Rain Tapes that has the You Thrill Me version on it.
And dont forget that the remix of Erotica leaked at that time too (now that he liked it)

In Erotica Stuart Price rescued an old demo of this song to give this version that combines more with the style of the album Confessions on a Dance Floor, very clever of him, Madonna is wearing an exact reproduction of the costumes used by ABBA singers, including in video of you reacting from Gimmie gimmie gimmie live they are using, check it out.
I just missed seeing her reaction to the speech she gives to the audience before Drowned World Substitute for love which is really cool, unfortunately you skipped it but I forgive you because you are a guy who does this amazing job that I admire a lot and you has a lot of respect for our queen's work.

I love that attestation part of Substitute For Love. Just realizing her fame good and bad and her emotional performance was awesome. So raw. She always had the best dancers. In the Music Inferno part, her dancer Daniel Campos was a standout. His insane dance moves complimented Madonna’s performance. The enhanced Erotica version was genius. Def agree about her flawless look.
Cloud is amazing... totally agree... and the hot guy she danced with in Erotica is another standout.
I have to say, Cloud is my personal favourite of all the (amazing) dancers she's ever had. I still follow his career today, years after he stopped working with Madonna. He still dances (though not competitively now), but has diversified into film-making and making songs and music videos himself. He's definitely more than just an amazing bboy or a pretty face, there's real humour and intelligence in his work - check out his UA-cam channel.

I think you would love the studio version of "Paradise (Not for Me)" even more, since it's VERY electronic.
The outfit she wore for "Erotica" was tribute to one of ABBA's most iconic looks (from the Voulez Vous era).

I really love this version of Erotica/You thrill me. This live performance is IMO her best. And as we all know, she has done quite a few of them. The best part of it though to a life-long Abba-fan is of course the iconic Abba-costume she`s wearing here. Amazing. The dance routine is beautiful. She is such a good artist. Respect.

"I'm so in love with you" could make me cry when she sings it.
Substitute for love was the first song that she recorded for the ray of light album, she said in an interview that this song inspired her for the rest of the album

I saw her Hard Candy and MDNA tours, but damn, I wish I had seen this one live. Also, the Madame X tour would have been epic. Music Inferno and Erotica/You Thrill Me are some of the best performances I've ever seen by Madonna, or really anyone. On a totally different level than anyone else, and she was in her late 40s at the time. Damn!

Derek, I was looking for the comments here and I agree of some of them. Try to not cut a lot the songs, it give us an impression that you dont like it so. We wait if you need more time to editing or if you need more videos to not have to cut that much. Another thing is the speech moments, you cute them all, and every madonna fan knows that almost that part means something on her shows. The speech before Drowned World is very nice to see her on a fragil and thankful artist of hers 30 years old career. Some tips for nexts videos....

Erotica (You Thrill Me) is one of those unic-moments that Madonna revisit her past and put it on another level. For the first time she bring an Demo Version (You Thrill Me) together to the album version (Erotica), live. Maybe it will be the only one time ever that she made someting like this. That's why this performance is so fenomenal and timeless. In my opinion, one of her high points of live performances in all time. This tour is 100% perfect in details. Wait for Hung Up... it's unbelievable and unforgetable

"Drowned World/Substitute For Love" was her favourite song from the Ray of Light album. In fact, she does that loud, passionate singing at "no far off land, no fire that I can start" on the album too, but it's more obvious here because of the pure acoustic instrumentation rather than with the electronica and percussion of the studio recording version.
With "Erotica", I love this evolution of the song. It's actually based more on the demo of "Erotica" called "You Thrill Me", remixed by Stuart Price as you said. To me, while the original "Erotica" was about full-on lust and sex, this version is more about the eroticism of a long-term relationship, a spiritual sensuality of two people who find each other exciting and sensuous even after years of being together. I never thought that Erotica could elicit an emotional, nostalgic reaction but that's exactly what this did for me.
Paradise (not for me) is probably one of my favourite songs of all time!!! You need to react to the backdrop video of this song, it's amazing!!
Dereck take note of her lead guitarist. Monte Pittman her heavy metal guy who was formerly with Prong. He refreshed her guitar skills when he gave her lessons. His first tour with her was in 2001. “Drowned World” tour. He has been with her ever since.

I love seeing love for Paradise! It's in my top 10 favorite Madonna songs of all time, both the epic 6+minute studio version and the stripped down acoustic version here. It just takes you to a place. A brilliant piece of art!
Amazing and the best performer all the time
As a longtime fan who has seen every tour except her last one. Rebel Heart. Limited venues in the states with limited seating. But I didn’t mind. 18 shows. First was the “Virgin tour” in Atlanta. I saw it in my early thirties. Corporate attire. Liz Claiborne linen. I just turned 68. Vibrant as ever. My best friend is 36. I can’t begin to tell you how impactful her emergence into our was. No social media. Radio interviews. Newspaper article. Even on the the nightly news. Such assertive feminine energy that has ever hit this world. Human energy. Rebellious and so authentic. Queen of Pop. Of course. Impactful yes. Books have been written about her impact on society. A class in a college was taught about her impact. Chapters in business books on her have been written. She was the first woman in music to be referred to as an icon. After that everyone wanted to be referred to as an icon. Haha. Simple girl from the Midwest of America who became the most successful female artist ever. Actual records. Before downloads. She like me and you is not perfect. I’m flawed as hell. Which makes me normal. Madonna has sustained a career. A long career. Never went off the rails. Yes. Crazy outrageous moments. Of course. Me too. But she never forgot what it was all about. Music. She stayed focused. Decades ago I believe that Time magazine, I think, said she was the sanest person in show biz. Clearly. She’s always walked the talk. Madonna is a mother to six children. Four children she has adopted from Malawi. She matters. She will always be a reference point. Show business has has been about insecurity, vanity and fear and nerve. Whatever she has done to reassure herself I might not agree with but I can’t imagine what it must be like to be so globally famous. Bottom line. Her presence in our society was monumental. Like most artists she has a liberal view of life and people. So do I. She also considers herself to be an American worker. She thinks that Americans are the greatest workers ever. So do I. She is very bright. Straight A student. Scholarship to the University of Michigan. She like me thinks that our Constitution is outstanding. She’s not done yet. Yes she suffered injuries in her last tour. She will be 62 next month. Who knows what she will do but I believe she is not done yet. No matter her age she will decide. Perhaps I should apologize for this long narrative but life is short. Freedom and equality for all matters. No matter age, gender, race or religion. America should be the home for all. But America is no longer a sure thing. People who look different. People who are creative. People believe differently. Should all matter. Madonna. She sees the big picture. So do I. So do you. We are all worthy. Kinda cool isn’t it. Let’s all get together. I know I know. I’m just want all of us to be able to say and post whatever without being graded. 😁 Be well and be safe. Our ❤️’s matter. Our brains too.

I was lucky enough to see The Confessions Tour show live, one of the most precious experiences in my life! And that Erotica version was and still is the best one for me ever! I could watch it / listen to it on repeat. Masterful 🔥😏😃
I've been a fan since 1989 and that's the only version of "Paradise" I can listen to. I simply can't stand it on record. This live version is everything.

You thrill me was the first main version on the tapes ect before she changed it into the more darker s&m song Erotica. Its widely available. Both are great and at the time its was such a shock for fans she was performing it. It was a secret unreleased song that we werent supposed to have back then. (But we did)

That's why Madonna always sells two CD/DVDs per record, one with the original songs and the other one with their reinvention. It's magical. Art. The U2, which is my second favourite, hone their songs for 3 years. Madonna puts it out and then reinvents it. Guess which one has the balls.

What Isaac did here with Madonna was what Babyface did with Madonna in Bedtime Stories album:
an extension of Madonna's voice and not overlap her voice
And Paradise is one of my all time favorite songs along with X-Static Process from the American Life album.
I've always had thoughts of Paradise. But that would be a private chat lol. I may be wrong but I have an idea of what it's about.
Having Issac on that tour was pure magic.
