It’s great to see North Country Trains do his excellent work in our local area
This channel is just amazing
Absolutely love your catch of the crow alighting on the Mass Central demo car
Really nice job showcasing the daily activity at Palmer. Outstanding the way you capture the small details.
The Mass Central crew is about the friendliest around
Our complete absence of snow this winter is something I’ve never witnessed here before
Great video.
Excellent video! Informative and enjoyable!🚂🚂🚂
Another superb video from The Master
Beautiful capture of 438/436 combo
Your choice of location, commentary, graphics and editing produce interesting and impressive railroad content. 👍
Thank you!!!
Nice catch of the NECR switch alignment
I wish my night vids were half as sharp and bright as yours are
Great great great to see that SD40 on point of 427
Nice catches!
439 showcases two of New England’s largest exports now:
Swill & Demo
Nice 611 has csx is former C40-8Ws also there now M437 M438 and M439 which is the only actual Daytime afsation maybe and Z264/265 will add a couple daylight trains through Palmer
Engineer Gillespie on L012 is a railfan and has a UA-cam channel that reflects this
Looks like you had a very successful safari Harrison! Great catch of that CSX Seaboard unit, far FAR away from where the real Seaboard used to roam!
I couldn't help but notice that unusual diesel at the 5:00 mark, it's a Mass Central unit marked "Patriot Star" and looks like a cross between an SW8 and an RS-3. Any idea what it is? I THINK I've seen a photo of something similar but just can't place it.
Oh, and we know exactly where Palmer Mass and the "Steaming Tender" is! We ate there back in the early 2000's when we attended the BIG Brimfield antique show. At the time that steam engine on display in the parking lot had a goofy-looking balloon stack on it, I'm glad to see it's gone, it's looked awful!
Great show as usual! Thanks for posting!
That unit would be an NW5! Thanks for the nice comments Wayne!
@@NorthCountryTrains You're welcome Harrison! An NW5! I hit the book and found out NW5's are scarce articles, only 13 were built from 1946 to 1947, really a false step along the road to the GP7's and GP9's.
So that's a really unique and historic unit Mass Central owns. I wonder if it still runs? It's in great condition at any rate!
@@wayneantoniazzi2706 I think it runs but I don’t think it’s run in quite a while.
Great scenes. What's being hauled in the night shot with the outsized, high-sifed gons? Garbage?
Yes, and construction debris!
Almost as far as Front Street
3:03 NECR 3474 and 3476 are SD45s not SD40-2s
Just a correction on that.
*no I didn't google that if you're wondering*
They’re SD40-2s… mechanically. I prefer to go off of the actual specs and not the body
No, NECR 3474-3476 are SD40M-2s, not SD45s. SD40M-2s are basically SD45s *externally* but on the insides, it's SD40-2. The key reason why they're not 45s is because the 20-645 produced a far too great power output and frequently suffer mechanical issues, hence why M-K initiated a rebuild program that grafted SD40-2 insides to former SD45s. By any means, discredit me. I've done a lot of photographic documenting on the specific series of locomotives, you better have documented them greatly and/or even worked with them otherwise I will discredit your statements. My statement echoes that of NCT's, the units are essentially SD40-2s once you peel back layers of classification and such.
Great job nailing both 426 & 427 as well as the as-usual; rejected-by-the-mill Pan Am boxcar
Sappi and the other papermills much rather have those than the shitty CSX Plate C boxcars they have been sending up. Most of those look like they were pulled from a scrap yard. Worn out draft gear, smashed to shit doors which don't move or lock, leaking roofs. Sappi had like 400 exPan Am cars on lease and CSX started replacing them with junk from the storage lines down south. Sappi ended that lease agreement and subleased 300 something UCRY and ATW boxcars off of NBSR to fill the void.
@@benhartin5499 I am seeing a constant stream of empty pan am boxes heading west
SOMEBODY is rejecting them
A great many ALSO have open doors
You’re being recorded
You’ll be in a good spot for the lunar eclipse in April you lucky dog.😎😎😎😎😎😎🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚
Looking forward to it but NOT looking forward to the massive temporary population spike
