Ideally, as light assault, you never stop moving. Light assault and infiltrator tend to be very similar in that they rely on keeping the enemy confused, attacking from odd angles, and choosing one or two targets, killing them, and then disappearing. Personally I run Regeneration and Battle Hardened, since I like to also run C4 with my LA. As a LA main, I have a few tips. First, if you sprint off the edge of the building and turn sideways before activating your jets just after you begin to fall, you can glide sideways slightly faster than sprinting or jump-jetting forward, just like the jumpjet catapult technique. Second, remember that enemy light assaults will come after you. They want those roofs too. Third, always remember how much fuel you have left. Fourth, it's better to mitigate fall damage by waiting until you are close to the ground and burning all your fuel than by trying to fall the entire distance at a moderate pace. Fifth, always be looking for tiny ledges or weird supports on the insides and undersides of buildings. Sixth and last, verticality is your friend. No other class can move up or down as fast as you can. Exploit that.
Generally: If you're on the ground as a Light Assault, you're doing it wrong. You should be an agent of punishment for complacency and lack of situational awareness.
And being in the air is the perfect way to get even the least situationally aware enemies by being visible from all angles. Not to mention how you can't aim when in flight.
As an LA you only have two safe states, on the ground with your friends and where you are not expected, the skill aspect of the LA is being able to manage both of those states at the same time and never being caught in the transition the whole point of the class is there is no such thing as a safe place when Light assaults are involved.
Basically, crappier guns = better training I love the feeling after using a 'bad' gun for like an hour and a half and then switching over to a really 'good' gun best fucking feeling in the world, so good
Thanks man. Yeesh, terrified to give any advice on Light Assault next to you. :) You play it like a grand master. Would immediately direct anyone to your channel over mine for Light Assault tips. Terrific class, fun class, but certainly not my primary.
The LC2 Lynx is my personal fav for LA carbine. The burst damage is amazing and LA's are relying on surprise. You are screwed once the enemy has time to fire back, so they better be dead before they turn around.

You just have such a damn grasp of the THEORY of play that's lacking in so many other guides. I look forward to your ACTUAL Heavy Assault guide, now that you've posted your pre-req. And any other guides you might drop. Weapons? Other vehicles? Overall strategies or tactics? I know you've said you have much to learn, but my god, not only do you have much to teach, you articulate it well.
Hey, thank you very much for speaking up! I like sharing my knowledge but its a lot of work sometimes so appreciate knowing people see it, and use it! I have three loadouts I use as LA. Flying infiltrator - all about not being seen, and getting behind targets at mid-close range. Suppressors and nv/smoke nade combos are fun. Top-down Shooter - great for finding sniper's perches the enemy isn't expecting, taking out some key targets, and moving on to the next location. Surprise Shotgun to the FACE - is all about getting up close on unsuspecting enemies with a shotgun and blowing them to bits.
Awesome, thanks for your work, i joined this game because of your videos and i'm BR 63 so far, i play mostly infil but i found LA as one of the most fun and useful classes specially when your team is in trouble.
When people read the minimap/map correctly can save the day too. Many times, i see players ignoring the map and act like brainless soldiers that camp the enemy spawnroom and not pay attention to the possibilities of a counter attack. Pay attention guys! Anyway, nice LA tips too. Rarely play LA. Will be helpful.
Light Assault was actually the class I wanted to learn first, mainly because of being an old Tribes 2 nerd...but I never got the concept well. Granted, it was 2012 and ...well the tutorial for new players was "point your drop ship at the ground." Even now, mainly because of my massive off times, I find myself taking Light Assault...jetting, and dying while shooting straight up...
As an LA main... Yes you read that right, alot of this is very good info but there are also some key skillsets missing. Knowledge of when your skyline your self to enemies, the advantages of hipfire and the importance of headshots to be able to compete with other classes, mouse shaking as your retreating to cover, as well as your biggest dangers as an la, with #1 being snipers, #2 being heavies and #3 being Air 2 ground craft. As an LA to survive, you need to be able to snap to targets well, position yourself well, know your target importance well, and know-how to utilize cover great or you're just a worse engineer. In addition its a great class where your aiming skills from something like titanfall 2 can come into play where you're aiming beneath and above you frequently. In my opinion its the class with the greatest skill gap between, the people that pull it just to c-4 bomb or maybe harass a triple stack, and the people that can do well with the class in almost any situation, and can get 4 to 5 kills back to back without the use of c-4 or a shotgun. LA's Implant choice also is a bit more in depth than some classes out there too but I'll go over some interesting ones. Minor Cloak can be a little bit good comboed with the black hand in a kind of flyer sniper roll, or cloaking on the point early and using a pump shotgun. but overall as a la sacrificing your mobility to use it is sometimes hard to justify. Carapace is straight-up bad for la most of the time, you can combo it with health or regen packs, and the healing implant. you do get more total hits with it I think as nano weave armor applies to your total health pool. At that point though your sacrificing 2 implants, a suit slot and a utility slot to run carapace. You also tend to be more exposed as an la so you tend to take more chip damage as la which makes carapace even less of a viable option. I usually pop infravision on when Im having trouble spotting vs at night, upgraded sidewinder surprisingly works well with shotguns, but I have yet to see how well it works with smgs and hipfire carbines. Sensor shield is pretty good, but hard to notice its effects in bigger fights. Survivalist is good on every class but will give you some added momentup to your jump jets when escaping or at least it feels that way. Catlike 5 gets you into the air quicker and the added crouch move speed feels good with la. Arial Combatant 5 isnt terrible post nerf but I don't think its worth seeking out now either. Adrenaline pump plus athlete can just make the game feel a smidge more responsive but nothing to write home about. Assimilate 5 is great for when you dive into a point and get back to back headshot kills you will take some chip damage so using it can make you last just long enough to escape the area with lots of enemies on it. Additional Notes (For ASP) The biggest ASP perk for the LA is the smg secondary. As a main gun smg's are rather bad for LA as they spend more time in the air than any other class and the smgs have crazy high bloom when done so. But as a secondary, they really come into their own especially the High mag capacity ones. a high mag smg if played right can easily rack up 3 kills back to back and combined with at least 2 kills in a mag for the la's main carbine and you've reached five. the ns pdw also makes for a terrific mid-ranger for when you're working your way into shotgun distance with your la. Conc Grenades are a mixed bag for me, when they work, damn do they work good but there super inconsistent, and there's no way to tell at a glance who's been affected and who hasnt. Overall I'd pass and spend your asp point elsewhere Pistol Primary, is a weird option, being able to double up on a commissioner and an underboss sounds like some peoples dream loadout... but for LA, it just falls flat due to that flying cone of fire. The only class I've seen it work decently well on is adrenaline shielded heavy assault, and even then I think there are better options. go with something else.
probably i said it before, but american server is so different, i can't believe the video. i should record and share with you. i think one of the most important stuff in this game is the situational awareness. in the LA is just Op, 2 or 3 soldiers can easily look like 10-15 by attacking by every corner. Other thing i usually do, is assasinate medics the most, specially inthose stuck battles. LA is spacially good murdering support classes, since HA are mostly slow/caring the front lines, to protect their assets. Another thing i do is camp in stairs, like, people follow you tru a building, you take the stairs and wait hovering the stairs, killed 3-5 guys in a row ussing that, they are so pumped up going for the kill than forget to peek the minimap xD. To spread the chaos in enemy sunderers you can climb at the top of the vehicle, then go under it and repeat, you get the atention of like 25% of the people spawning at the sunderer, running around the vehicle.
Great vid & thanks for mentioning Moukass.. he's a light assault MASTER! ..super aggressive & mobile And Amazing situational awareness And laughs a lot lol. Yep just watching his gameplay will teach you everything about LA.
Hey Cyrious, great video again :) I so enjoy your overall quality and the advises are really great, matching my style of playing light assault :P Kepp up this fine work, I really appreciate it ;)
I’ve never had much luck with flash grenades. If there’s no stealthy entrance, and a flash seems ideal to get you in while the enemy is blind, yeah I’m gonna use it. But it still seems as though half the room sees me and continues to aim right for me. So I don’t understand.
I wonder what Moukass is thinking right now... Wonderful guide btw, I've always wanted to up my LA play, and when my laptop comes home to me repaired, i'll kill the renegades and the space hippies quicker than the ams call showed in the vid
My current VS light assault loadout: Eclipse VE3 1x scope or chaos Canis with unstable ammunition forward grip and 1x scope rocklet rifle max ambusher jumpjets max nanoweave armor frag grenade with c-4 max safe fall and max regeneration.
Light Assault = One Jumpy Speedy Boi. This class is the fun class. Late game is very powerful. Icarus side can help you when it comes to 1v1 by throwing people off when you jump high and move left and right. Its not common. Ambusher is a great class to Assault and Bail fights predator style. Like anime fights. C4 fairy is also a thing too. Nobody will look competently up all the time. (Drifter) Skirmisher is all around class, it's durable in Tower fights. You can do Juke side really good in this.
Im rank 70sth and LA has always been my favourite. I recommend the trac 5s with grenade launcher and silencer. Its not very accurate but the launcher gives the extra damage that the rocket rifle sometimes lacks and has one-shot potential against infantry, especially in big fights (where infantry is often already damaged)
few ppl have the wisdom to look up in this game, especially on Hossin or Amerish. My shotgun loadout as an LA uses smoke nades with Infravision implant, in tower stomps i use Nightmare implant also
Thanks for this guide! Though I don't have my 2nd c4 yet, another lightning was firing at the sundie, I dropped my c4, blew it up, rocket rifled it and stole the kill!
Tip for people who want to try a loadout similar to the "Explosives" sundy specialist: use a Hunter QCX with smoke bolts as your secondary. When you jump towards your target, unload the two bolts for temporary cover. It may buy you enough time to det the C4 you lay down.
To be honest, the new kill cam makes fighting alot harder, since it basically shows where the person that just killed you is going, and even highlights them through walls and surrounding terrain. It often leads to getting flanked where you thought you had cover to flank the enemy. Not to mention it makes things much more tricky for infiltrators to get kills without their location being found out. Heck, even if you die to a proximity mine, it'll show you the infiltrator that's halfway across the base from there. I don't know if this cam is a good thing or a bad thing.
I often thought about this during my times in PS2 but after coming back to it after such a long time... it definitely doesn't. If anything, it only serves to help new players and I'm perfectly okay with that. The kill cam's only advantage is that it kind of tells you where. It doesn't track and reveal you post death, so if you really did die because of the kill cam its because you stayed predictable or... just dumb luck (mostly this). And besides, regardless of the kill cam... especially for snipers, the biggest cause of death is being in the wrong place at the wrong time... or my favorite, spotting enemies and yelling out where they are.
For me, I use the same loadout, i use Iron Sights for my carbines. If I'm doing a biolab/Tower fight I swap to Ammo Printer, and a Shotgun. I prefer the "Up in your face" playstyle. Its all about manoverability, I like use the "bait and pull". Works VERY well on out damaging your HA's with shotguns. In tower fights, I like to move from the top of the tower to the bottom. It also works to move diagonally on the tower, keep moving, and kill. Nothing like the LA chase. It feels so thrilling, its one of the reasons I keep playing. I use shotguns because its fast and hard, high risk high reward. Nothing like slamming your way into a capture point with skirmishers and droppin some bodies.
Hey Cyrious, can you make a video giving an advanced guide to continent maps and war strategy? For those of us looking to win the battle rather than just fight for the hell of it. You mentioned some “scenarios”, such as fighting an enemy attacking you from both sides at a base... can you cover “scenarios” and maybe the larger scales of the battles? Meaning cover map strategy and how to effectively play the lattices and which operations are good for what scenarios. -airborne? ground-borne? Armor zerg? Sundee zerg? Foot zerg? Help me out here! I need to learn how to be a better, more effective PL for my outfit!
Hey man, that is a terrific idea. With the alerts as they are, macro map strategy is tough. They are going to be changed soon though. Then I will look into getting those videos out.
I need that too. Every time i get the pl im like 'yea cool we'll do some funny stuff' and 'i guess that could work' and 5mins later i find myself asking others to lead.
Hello CG - I would be Remiss if I did not comment on this Video, as I have over 106 days in this class. I'll give you a 4.5 out of 5 on this vid as a very good practical guide to the Light Assault. The biggest failure of the Ground Pounder (Grunt) Infantry is the failure to look up. Light Assault is the Prey Bird of the wilds that the poor little furry animals below get killed by and rarely see it coming. It is the most versatile class on the Battlefield. It is equally dangerous against Air, Armor, and Infantry if properly utilized. We do Ops every night and use it every night. I would recommend to you, to try using the Night Hawk Auto Shotgun for Close Quarter Combat, and I prefer and the T5 AMS for Medium to Long Range General use. If you like hip fire then go with the lynx. All the Jets are fun when used in the right settings. Thanks for a good Video. As a Side note, this is Light Assault against a Galaxy - ua-cam.com/video/1WaWh0Jcngk/v-deo.html Death from Above - Hoough
Good vid lemme share my loadout, jaguar suppressor and grip and 1x dot site, nanoweave, catlike and regeneration (catlike will make the drifter more like skrimisher) always use drifter(unless you're like a god with icarus) use c4 and any secondary you are comfy with, this build was built for destroying sundies but due to the jaguar and regeneration the build is great for infantry as well (jaguar is best carbine hands down).
I think Sensor shield implant can be useful for LA, since its a nice counter to infiltrator's radars that may spot you while you try to flank (unless you want to walk all the way lol)
the placeable radar now sees you at all times if you move so the implant is necessary if you want to sneak up on snipers unless they changed that terrible change read it in one of the newer change logs
I play primarily Heavy Assault, and while I've been trying to get more into Light Assault, it doesn't seem to come naturally to me. Watching this video may have finally given me the insight to recognize what I've been doing wrong. My inclination is to use the jump jets to find a "sniper perch" but even the highest range carbine doesn't facilitate that playstyle very well. My question is, would you recommend trying something like a battle rifle, to see if I can make that work, or should I concentrate on relearning a more close quarters playstyle?
I play mostly la and i have a similar problem with heavy. To me the heavy feels to slow and sluggish. Maybe its bc im used to move alot more and faster. To your question: i think the la is simply not meant to be fighting steadily from one position and therefore not given effective distance weapons. Its purpose is to make chaos and to get behind enemies defenses (from close range)
I don't use battle-hardened or assimilate on light assault. If you are breaching, you do it quickly as possible and a lot of times you don't have much time to go for headshots and should be minimizing trading shots in pure dueling matches for battle-hardened to be all that useful. I use sensor shield and catlike but there are other implants as well that I think are useful. The other implants in this video are useful though.
My 2 cents is to use ambusher jump jets, they can be used to get on top of the enemy fast or used to make a quick retreat. Pairs nicely with c4 P.s SAFE FALL is a MUST.
i have a question i havent seen an aircraft tutorial/guide from you yet i would like to get into flying but i dont know how to start or how to manuver the right way is that something you have planed on doing and if not i would really like a guide to that anyways tutorial was very helpfull thanks for allways making these great videos ^^ you actualy brought me back into the game :D
tank lover There are. At least one carbine per faction has access to underbarrel, don't count on smoke you can actually remove them from the game if you remove particle effects from your .ini settings.
what's your favorite faction? and why? i like 2 of them separately for a specific reason, NC for that sick metal music, Vanu for their heavy assault armor (the one we get with the battle cash), i don't really hate the TR, in fact i have fun with all the factions, i just prefer ones over others, with the NC being my most preferred.
To be honest, I am not really attached to any specific faction. I picked TR at first, I don't even know why. And now all my friends are there, so that's why I stick with it.
I just downloaded this game on my new PC I used to play on my old PC too but for some reason every time I start a game I can't move with my keyboard infact my keyboard is completely useless idk what's wrong do any of you know how to fix this
I'm looking for a new carbine to buy for my engineer class for the T.R. but i dont know what to get. I need a weapon with fast fire rate, but a large magazine and good damage. Its hard for me to choose because all of the T.R. weapons look the same
@@CMDRCyrious That's good to know I meant to test it on myself but I get distracted with the fact that there are actual fights going on again on the server
Love your content, been binge watching! Curious, is content on here still relevant today? Otherwise, which parts are not. Thanks and keep up the great work
Dont know, but i cant really play as light anyway. Becous of lack of skill or game lags/bugs, the moust of the time, i get instantly headshoted by my victum, even is will be total ambush. Or without cover from you shooting teammates, you get quickly spotted and killed, why knows. Anyway, thank you for another great video. Hope ty see vehicle guides in the future:)
Thx for the video bc my main class in ps2 is light assault. And the funny part fot me as a swede is that the video ends 13:37 witch mean elite in swedish meme Calld Wow-jocke
I have some major gripes with this video. You talk about mobility being the LA's biggest strength... yet you never equip Catlike... "DriftCat Carbine" is my most used loadout. Have you maxed the implant and tried it with drifter jets? Catlike significantly changed the way I play the game (including all classes but LA the most.) With it, you're able to juke much more quickly and unpredictably, and the increased jumping height compliments drifter's lack of vertical thrust speed. It's especially fun bouncing around on a steep mountain, using the cabine's tight CoF while flying. This brings me to my second point: a 1x scope on a carbine? This is difficult for me to wrap my head around. You have excellent hipfire and jumping CoF... you don't need a scope the vast majority of the time... when you do, that means the enemy is out of your optimal hipfire range... so why not use a 3x scope to increase your chances of a headshot? Flight suit is totally worthless unless you have Ambusher jets - one of Drifter's huge advantages is the huge fuel tank and the ridiculously fast recharge. I also virtually never run nanoweave or flak - and I rarely have medkits - I always have extra explosives. 2 C4 and 4 frag grenades are much more valuable than being able to soak one more bullet. Lastly, I object to flash nades - they're annoying as hell - so I refuse to use them - just like lockons.
What I love about Planetside. Is there is no "CORRECT" way to create load-outs and play any class. Cat-like is nice. I don't use it on Light Assault, because of their jump jets. If I need to get up something high, I can just jump jet over it, rather than high jump over it. I find getting battle hardened or assimilate is better. True, hip fire is good. But, 3x+ scopes are pushing well beyond the range of a carbine. I can reliably land shots/head shots with a 1x scope up to the weapons maximum damage range. The 3x scopes have the negative of a massive loss of situational awareness.
I'm so bad at Light Assault. I'm definitely one of the noobs who thought a jetpack would be a great idea to cert & then realize later I was just fodder in a direct fight.
At many of the ranges shown in this video, burst hipfiring the tanto would have been more effective than adsing. You get no movement penalty and good accuracy for the first 5 rounds.
Me ADSing with the tanto is such a knee jerk reaction, because I play it interspersed with all the other weapons. But you are correct. A lot of the ADSing is totally un-necessary with how the tanto mechanics work.
Cyrious Gaming when i first got it, i couldnt believe how good it was paired with the ambushers. You can retain amazing mobility but also great burst accuracy to respectable ranges. That loadout is really efficient and stupidly fun.
Is it pronounced Curious or Serious?
Really great question. It sounds like "Serious."
Starslayer found you
@@CMDRCyrious sounds like, but isn't jk love you your videos have helped me
Both :)
1:27 That MAX xD. The slow turnaround while still crouched, like "Who goes there?"

(For ASP)
The biggest ASP perk for the LA is the smg secondary.
Overall I'd pass and spend your asp point elsewhere
Pistol Primary, is a weird option, being able to double up on a commissioner and an underboss sounds like some peoples dream loadout... but for LA, it just falls flat due to that flying cone of fire. The only class I've seen it work decently well on is adrenaline shielded heavy assault, and even then I think there are better options. go with something else.
Thanks for this video it helped alot
Nice video. I will NEVER be anywhere near good enough to successfully implement any of this but at least it gives me things to think about. Thank You!
probably i said it before, but american server is so different, i can't believe the video.
i should record and share with you.
i think one of the most important stuff in this game is the situational awareness.
in the LA is just Op, 2 or 3 soldiers can easily look like 10-15 by attacking by every corner.
My current VS light assault loadout:
Eclipse VE3 1x scope or chaos
Canis with unstable ammunition forward grip and 1x scope
rocklet rifle
max ambusher jumpjets
max nanoweave armor
frag grenade with c-4
max safe fall and max regeneration.
(Drifter)
Skirmisher is all around class, it's durable in Tower fights.
I love these videos. Keep up the good work mate!
Yup sniping is no fun anymore
I often thought about this during my times in PS2 but after coming back to it after such a long time... it definitely doesn't. If anything, it only serves to help new players and I'm perfectly okay with that.
The kill cam's only advantage is that it kind of tells you where. It doesn't track and reveal you post death, so if you really did die because of the kill cam its because you stayed predictable or... just dumb luck (mostly this).
And besides, regardless of the kill cam... especially for snipers, the biggest cause of death is being in the wrong place at the wrong time... or my favorite, spotting enemies and yelling out where they are.
Just finished certing my medic and got the T1B cycler and now this video makes me wanna play Light assault
I'm in love with the Light Assault 🤠
Cyrious Gaming Sweetness! Looking forward to it!
As a Side note, this is Light Assault against a Galaxy - ua-cam.com/video/1WaWh0Jcngk/v-deo.html
Death from Above - Hoough
I've been waiting for this for so long ... thx!
These guides are FANTASTIC.
Thanks!
hippity hoppity these videos are gaining quality
Good vid lemme share my loadout, jaguar suppressor and grip and 1x dot site, nanoweave, catlike and regeneration (catlike will make the drifter more like skrimisher) always use drifter(unless you're like a god with icarus) use c4 and any secondary you are comfy with, this build was built for destroying sundies but due to the jaguar and regeneration the build is great for infantry as well (jaguar is best carbine hands down).
thank you for doing these !
I think Sensor shield implant can be useful for LA, since its a nice counter to infiltrator's radars that may spot you while you try to flank (unless you want to walk all the way lol)
it is, especially on Hossin or Amerish using drifters. Hopping from tree to tree with the blackhand is magical
the placeable radar now sees you at all times if you move so the implant is necessary if you want to sneak up on snipers unless they changed that terrible change read it in one of the newer change logs
Now that's what i'm talking about. Quality video!!!
That sunderer take down was epic
My not so favorite class because it's everybody else favorite. Thanks for the video (y)
Helped me a lot as a light assault
I play primarily Heavy Assault, and while I've been trying to get more into Light Assault, it doesn't seem to come naturally to me. Watching this video may have finally given me the insight to recognize what I've been doing wrong. My inclination is to use the jump jets to find a "sniper perch" but even the highest range carbine doesn't facilitate that playstyle very well.
My question is, would you recommend trying something like a battle rifle, to see if I can make that work, or should I concentrate on relearning a more close quarters playstyle?
I’m not cyrious but I’ll say CQB can be more rewarding and exciting.
觀星望月 Well, it's certainly worth trying. Thanks.
Lights can’t equip battle rifles right?
Glad to hear man, I will get to the aircraft guide, still a bit out, but I will get to it!
thats great thank you whenever it comes out ^^
If you’re on Connery, BlakeA from 56rd is a pretty good teacher. Great guy in general. I’m sure patty is great too!
This gameplay in this video looks satisfying as hell and extremely fun. Maybe I'll get there one day haha
Like the fact you’re using the NSX tanto in the clips that is also my carbine of choice
I'm jus startin to play dis game and I heard it's rlly complicated any advice ?
Watch through my series on Surviving your First Hour.
I highly encourage you to play this game! There is no other like it!
finally, I had no idea how to play light assault b4 this
Like the frequent uploads!
how is your reticle so small?
is there a file i have to edit to make it like that? theres no ingame setting
The dot, is setup through recursion stat tracker. The rest of it is based on your Field of View setting in options.
Little question for the LA: Medical OR Restoration kit? I'm more inclined towards restoration kit.
Carapace resto, other wmedical
Thanks man!
C4 makes everything better drop a C4 away from the main battle on turrets vehicle spawn point oh I can't wait to do my little grasshopper move.
i really enjoy these videos they help alot
Glad it helped!
I wish there where carbines with under barrel attachment that uses smoke screen ,you wouldn't believe how handy they can be and sometimes life savers
tank lover There are.
I just downloaded this game on my new PC I used to play on my old PC too but for some reason every time I start a game I can't move with my keyboard infact my keyboard is completely useless idk what's wrong do any of you know how to fix this
Jaguar is best tr carbin for la because of ridiculously good hip-fire with adv laser sight.
Are you still doing “First Thursdays with Cyrious” and where do you announce them?
I am going to do more in the future! And they will be announced on Twitter and in the discord.
Is it a problem i play basicly light assault only?
No, but if you get bored of it, don't get bored of the game, branch out your gameplay because there is more to it.
Should i use the NSX Tanto for Light Assault?
This was very helpful thx!!
I'm looking for a new carbine to buy for my engineer class for the T.R. but i dont know what to get. I need a weapon with fast fire rate, but a large magazine and good damage. Its hard for me to choose because all of the T.R. weapons look the same
TRAC-5 is the best. LYNX has the fast fire rate. Think all the magazines are pretty similar. The S-variant will have an increased mag size attachment.
Is there really an advantage to the quicker-detonating flash?
Or does the other take too long that ppl just get away on time?
I find no, the effect does last long enough
@@CMDRCyrious That's good to know
I meant to test it on myself but I get distracted with the fact that there are actual fights going on again on the server
Is Tanto really good to play as light assault ? I generally use smg for light.
SMG for close range, tanto is nice as a close range Carbine.
Love your content, been binge watching! Curious, is content on here still relevant today? Otherwise, which parts are not. Thanks and keep up the great work
What song is used during the transition? I can't seem to find it on the site. Anybody know?
Hmmm, quick question. If I'm forced to fight a MAX as L. Assault should I use my carbine or grenade launcher?
If you don't have C4. Stay high, and far away and shoot him with a carbine. If you have to be close without c4. Use your rocklet rifle.
thx
How do you have black camouflage on your character?
That is by completing the exceptional directive. This video talks about it : ua-cam.com/video/Yt4EJY22M2M/v-deo.html
@@CMDRCyrious thanks for the link!
dudes, I log in to my character and now a single keybind works apart from my mouse movement. Is there a way to set keybinds outside games?
Disable your discord overlay. It has recently been breaking movement in planetside. Make sure you restart the game after its disabled.
Thankyou. I'll just figure how to do that on bing.
Did you have luck figuring it out?
Dont know, but i cant really play as light anyway. Becous of lack of skill or game lags/bugs, the moust of the time, i get instantly headshoted by my victum, even is will be total ambush. Or without cover from you shooting teammates, you get quickly spotted and killed, why knows. Anyway, thank you for another great video. Hope ty see vehicle guides in the future:)
How do you make your crosshairs really small?
Natural size for my field of view which is 74, and my screen display which is 1080
@@CMDRCyrious Nvm i'm dumb, I was using the trac 5 which has a bigger crosshair and you were using a different gun :p
Good video, I saw the first loadout and you don't use the aerial combatant implant. Would you recommend that on light assault?
I use that one for my ambusher load-out. I find with skirmishers I always have plenty of jump jet fuel.
Gotcha, thank you
Thx for the video bc my main class in ps2 is light assault. And the funny part fot me as a swede is that the video ends 13:37 witch mean elite in swedish meme Calld Wow-jocke
What's the beginning song?
Just some music clips from PS2 that I looped.
Have you made the advanced Heavy Assault yet, or have I missed it?
Have not gotten to it yet. Will be coming soon!
(I’m new) how I can know if a gun is ads or hip fire?
For the rail attachment it will have a Laser Sight or Advanced Laser Sight. Once you put one of those on its a good hipfire weapon.
Cyrious Gaming ok thanks, I really improve my abilities in game because of your guides and everything. 👐😛
I'm so bad at Light Assault. I'm definitely one of the noobs who thought a jetpack would be a great idea to cert & then realize later I was just fodder in a direct fight.
How do you like the trac-5?
Favorite TR carbine.
Any chance we can get a heavy assault tutorial??
SOON (TM) Haha seriously I do have footage, just haven't been able to piece it together.
hey im kind of looking to join an outfit. im not too good and not able to play much (weekends only) but im looking to learn.
I left an application anyway tho
Drifters = Op
What attachments do you use on your tanto? (I main tanto)
Doesn't he show you in the video?
Stephen what time
2:35 He talks about the attachments uses on carbines, AR, and LMG
kk
thx
but the tanto is nsx not tr specific i need specifics for the tanto
Nice video please do one for an esf and other classes
how can I activate these killing spree messages?
Search for Cyrious Recursion Stat Tracker
Is lynx good for light assult?
Yes use a laser sight and hip fire.
Video length 13:37
The proof that this guide is the most MLG and helpful One out there ! :D
