How Audio Notching Treats Tinnitus

  • There are many possible ways to treat tinnitus. Effective sound therapy like pink noise or white noise can significantly reduce the perceived loudness of tinnitus. Notched audio, however, is the next step beyond generic sound therapy and is tailored precisely to an individual's specific tinnitus frequency. Simply put, notched sound or audio therapy is one type of tinnitus treatment that can reduce the intensity or loudness of tinnitus by listening to special audio tracks on any device whether phone, car stereo, music player, etc.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ For more info and free notched audio files you can download:
    www.CheckHeari...
The key change that must be made to the audio track, however, is that the specific tinnitus frequency that is experienced by a given individual must be completely removed from the audio track. By removing this specific sound frequency or "notching" the audio, the tinnitus itself then supplies the missing frequency sound in the audio track.
The theory goes that when an individual turns off the notched audio sound, the brain will hear an absence of sound (obviously)... but more importantly may ALSO turn off the tinnitus sound. In practice, the tinnitus sound does not turn off for most, but does reduce in many tinnitus sufferers.
    TREATMENT protocol:
The suggested treatment protocol if your tinnitus frequency is 8,000Hz or less is to listen to the notched sound for long periods of time, ~ 5 hours or more at a time. Notched music appears to work as well as notched white noise.
If tinnitus frequency is above 8,000Hz, listen to the notched white noise three times a day, 1 hour each time. Notched music does not appear to work well for tinnitus higher than 8,000Hz. Be aware, there is no research evidence that notched sound therapy works for tinnitus frequencies higher than 13,000Hz.
Sleeping with the notched white noise in either situation works well by additionally providing masking. Tinnitus relief with notched sound therapy usually takes weeks to months.

Thank you. This offers a relief to me when my tinnitus is getting out of hand. It makes me angry at the constant bother and there is little peace of mind at that point. I use music like this in order to calm down the effects of tinnitus and thus give my mind a break. This is also helpful to help focus on my studies. It becomes part of the background and is a buffer between my mind and the many distractions around me.
I have read some of the comments here. Although there are some interesting methods (using notched noise for instance) to "cure" tinnitus I am uncertain about them at this point. I can however say that for those who are suffering I have some advice from what I learned over the many years I have had this condition.
    1. People who do not have it (or have it very mildly) do not understand what it is to be without silence. I have not heard silence for 20+ years, while awake (and not in deep meditation states). This lack of peace can make people (like myself) angry. Sometimes your mind has just had enough and it can be stressful.
    2. It can often just be a normal part of the background (think of the normal noises your mind just kind of ignores...they are there but not really). When you are focused on something intensely, or have other sounds to fill in the distraction of the tinnitus, can give you a reprieve from the onslaught of the relentless eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee sound you live with. Basically do what you can to NOT focus on the sound but on other things and you should find living with tinnitus a bit easier.
    3. Lastly, if you have had enough and feel like you are getting angry, irritated, overwhelmed, or just stressed...then take your medicine as soon as you are reasonably able. By medicine I mean put on music like this and breathe (close your eyes, breathe deeply from the bottom of your lungs for 5 seconds (experiment with the times maybe 3 seconds is better for you), hold that air for 3 seconds, then release for 3 seconds (then repeat as many times as you need). If you have only five minutes, then take that five minutes and calm your mind. You may be surprised by how effective it is, and how quickly your mind resets for you to go about the rest of your day. If you are so inclined meditation will do the same thing, though it is a much larger commitment.
Not sure if this will help anyone, surely hope that it will. Its true tinnitus is not great, but it doesn't need to be overwhelming.

I wouldn't say that the "rarely cures tinnitus" statement is a resounding endorsement of this particular treatment idea but, who knows, it might have some benefits.
The problem with all of this is that people who experience tinnitus are usually quite desperate, even to the point of panic. This makes us easy targets for con artists, snake oil salesmen and anyone who is fine with manipulating others.
Caveat Emptor my friends, Caveat Emptor.

Now I know why I always seem to sleep better with an air conditioner or fan on. I always knew I had a faint ringing in my ears with total silence and can definitely feel it muffle away with the white noise. I don't know if I could tolerate the white noise as a "replacement" for the tinnitus but it certainly feels like a reprieve. I would rather know what it feels like to have total silence, though, when there isn't anything in the environment making any noise. That would be bliss.

Were you born with tinnitus or at least you dont remember since when you have it? Because if this is the case, I can tell you I lived without tinnitus for my first 24 years, and when you're so used to something (in this case, silence) it is no longer something wonderful. If you could get total silence forever, after 1 month you wouldn't even think of it and you would start to think about other problems. So yeah! you're allowed to desire that, I just tell you this because living with tinnitus is perfectly doable! Just find your ways. I play white and pink noise everyday at home or at sleep and I live well :)

@@Reachland02Hello my friend. I developed tinnitus in the left ear after aspiration of water that got behind the eardrum. My doctor did the suction with the machine. After that I came home and as it was quiet I noticed a very small and constant "eeeeee" in my ear. As a professional musician, I had to work the next few days. After the 3rd music live, I came home at dawn and slept. When I woke up, the tinnitus was for the first time quite loud. I panicked. I was scared. I got stressed. I cried. In a few days I'm hitting 4 months with the tinnitus having increased in that time, definitely 4 times and each time, I wish I had the previous tinnitus intensity. I am generally an anxious person. I would like you to tell me, you who have experience, what to expect until I reach 1 year with the tinnitus. Does the brain get used to it? Won't I be saddened by the sound like it is now? Can tinnitus get better or does it only get worse? Does food play a role? physical exercise; The exhaustion? I may have damaged the capillary cells of the ear from high sound levels. Now I work with earplugs but still the intensity of the tinnitus is affected for a few days after live music. At first I managed it by taking deep breaths. Now it is difficult to lower with breaths. And if it goes down, it will be for a few minutes. Please answer me. You will help me a lot my friend. Tell me anything I need to know about tinnitus.

@@art_video_designJAWN wide and keep the mouth open. Slowly exhale through the nose. You can feel a pull in your ears as you exhale and inhale. If you are used to this you can even hear a constant cracking as the pressure adjusts. Same method as when swallowing. It helps me get rid of the rinning for a while.
Constant tinnitus is most likely related to spine nerve injury, a nerve squeeze or frequent noise pollution. Two weeks off the grid with no exposure to electricity and magnetic fields and you can tell the difference.

Does anyone else experience their tinnitus in a low frequency? Mine is like a strong rushing wind storm or a generator going on and off and it’s just getting worse 😢 I saw an ENT consultant 3wks ago & had a hearing test,my ears checked, camera down the nostrils and throat and all came back perfectly normal. She’s trying me on a new nasal spray for 3months but doubts this will make a difference as she feels it’s coming from the blood vessel’s in my brain and she’s sending me for a CT angiogram after the 3months.
It’s honestly driving me to despair it’s SO loud. It started about 2yrs ago and just got much worse.
Just wondering if anyone else has similar symptoms and experiences?
Unfortunately nothing changed when I listened to this..

Hello how are you now? With bppv. For tinnitus
I have some if you can practice two yoga each for 30 mins
To all people out there, i have a friend who managed to gain some hearing back while having menieres and after 3-4 months he has not had any epidose for last year. His hearing in left ear was completely gone. But then following the diet yoga and some ayurvedhic panch kriya ( not panch karma as this needs to be done by a practioner) helps him lead a good normal life . But takes allot of patiemce and time dedication.
The information in here is freely available on the internet back by research paper you may find on your own. The science that may be helpful is yoga and Ayurveda.
Yoga you need to follow two breathing exercises that is that is Bramhari and Anulom vilom. Need to note that Anulom vilom is to be done at a slow pace which will balance the effect of disease help tinnitus and sinus problems if any. This shall also help nerve health its more benefecial if this is done at some open space like some gardern or park.
Another is bhramhari pranayam. You may UA-cam this and this shall help allot to tinnitus and vertigo. On vertigo episode it shall calm you down . There are research paper and studies where it has helped vertigo and tinnitus and hearing loss. For those interested ill link the study.
Further there also something that some people witll immensely benefit. That is using anutaila for two drops in each nostil this will clear all the mucus in the sinus areas and nostril giving you instant hearing improvement. The procedure is called nasaya.
You may seek guidance from a nearby Ayurvedhic Practitioner. This will not cuase any harm. And the evidence is me my self where i have regained some lost high frequency hearing. Its quite marginal but still its there also to mention but low frequency hearing has also improved where there was no loss but not it has improved by 10 decibals( 250 and 500 hz from 20 to 5 Db ).
I seek to help all guys out there with inexpensive treatment because i know tinnitus vertigo and such diseases make people leave their current job.
I am bery confident about this because if you take these theee problem individually Ayurved and Yoga has definite solution. I wont say you will be 100% back to normal but still be very functional.
