As a 19 year old girl that never had a dad to teach me anything about cars... Thank you 😭 life saving video
Awesome
You are so welcome! Have anything you need just hit me up in my email be more than happy to help
Loved.❤
We're all mostly here to help each other.
The Way I see it is that we're all here to help one another and if we're not here helping then what are we really doing, what is our purpose?
If we're not helping one another then we're hindering, hampering, not helping and not caring.
Where's the love? 😊
Enjoy learning.
nice
Keep wrenching, young man. That gives us older gearheads hope for the future.
Agree with the Wix filter comments. Thanks for the easy to follow instructions.
Thank you very much
thanks
Good advice on the Wix. Another thing I do is write the date on the filter with a permanent marker.
OH SNAP, your right. have a great day
Great video!! Thanks for the advice! 👍 I'm going to be doing this soon to my beautiful 96 Tahoe. My pride and joy. Waiting for a good warm spring day. Coming soon
Nice
Glad it was helpful!
Great video! Going to be doing mine tomorrow in my 96 K2500 Suburban! Thanks.
Glad it helped
Actually I can honestly say that i've never had a problem taking off one of those fram x guard oil filters but have had a bunch of problems taking off other brands.
thanks for watching
Wix rocks man .....thanks man appreciate it
You bet
Someone suggested GOLF tees are great for blocking the fuel lines.
thats a great idea, have a great week
Uncle Buck we love u!!!;;
Thank you very much
Great video and advice. One point of feedback: the closeup angle is great but it would be helpful to show or describe where the filter is located on the truck.
Noted! Have a great weekend!
Thanks for this great video. I have to change the fuel filter on my Silverado and now I know how to replace it the right way.
Just one question, did you change the o rings on the lines ?
Thanks 🙏
No I did not, never had them degrade enough to need to
What about the O ring? Should that be replaced? I did and it leaked...
if it looks bad or is hard
When you say "prime it" before starting it up, what do you actually do?
Hold the key on for a bit before trying to start it so the fuel pump can get some gas back to the intake
cycle the key on and off a couple times so gas can get back to the motor after being drained to change the filter
How do you prime it?
TURN THE KEY ON AND OFF A COUPLE TIMES
@@unclebucksgarage7695 Gotcha. Thanks! I would've forgotten about that.
@@unclebucksgarage7695 I'm assuming forgetting to prime it would place a lot of stress on the fuel pump?
TIP - next time show the loosening of the other stuff you jumped in the video
THANKS
A filter is a filter man. Lol. I use whatever the parts store have including fram and never have had a problem.
thanks
