I currently use a Simplex as my main detector. I was really satisfied with it and didn’t think I’d want the Legend. Now I’m absolutely SURE I not only want it but need it! Haha thanks for showing how awesome this detector is!
I want to thank you for all your help in this video. I just got my Legend today (after following your advice) and ran outside with it straight out of the box, found two 1940's nickels within 30 minutes. This video was a large help for me understanding how to use the Legend. Love your videos as they bring a smile to my face each time I watch one. Again thank you for taking time making all this.

(thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn
Just bought one from another youtuber, looking forward to trying it out, when all this damm snow melts, Just a little side note for the newbies out there, this was very true in the days of older detectors, and I'm sure it's just as true today, the closer you can get to the threshold to just barely make a sound for any given location the deeper the detector can reach.
Best video on the net, I know I’ll get it if I go through many times. If you could, in the future, slow down a bit. I find people that already know what they’re doing, explain things too fast for me to follow along. Excellent video, best one yet on the Legend
I am starting to Love the Legend. I don't know if it'll replace my Equinox 800...but it's a great machine. It has a lot of great features and the build quality is great!

How did you go . I just bought 1 and im doing settings etc, im confused on what shpuld have it on, all metal or ferrous etc? I press the noise cancelling and then again in 10 seconds and gives completly different reading?
As always such a great video. I got mine a week ago and can’t wait for the snow here in Ontario to melt and the ground to thaw. Maybe one day I’ll take a trip down south and could join you on a hunt. That would make my year. Keep up the awesome content!

Just bought a Legend and am feeling somewhat overwhelmed lol. I'm in no hurry to get it together and get outside. One thing I will likely need to know, that I don't believe you mentioned, is how to do a factory reset. Gonna need that. Yours is the first tutorial I have watched. Over all pretty good but I thought you talked too fast and the volume was a bit low. I was following you until you got into all of those tone choices and the different pitches. Geez man I never needed all of that on my MXT PRO lol. I bought this because it was such a good deal and want to get back to detecting. We'll see what happens. I think the Legend is going to be easier to use than I thought.

That’s great Dennis. It’s a fun new machine to play around with. I covered the basics here to help navigate the menus but ultimately just using it is the best teacher. If you have any questions though I certainly can try to help.

Jason, Awesome video, great tutorial. If I could ask one favor? In future videos, slow down a tad. I know it’s hard because you’ve already mastered the settings. I’m an old timer detecting since 1973 and am struggling a bit with all these adjustments, notches, tone breaks, etc. I found Deus one very easy to setup. Deus 2 a little tougher but still more user friendly, easier for me to navigate as well. Thanks for such a detailed tutorial
My EQ 800 coil ears broke, I've fixed them with 3d printed ear stiffener, still wobbles.... I think I'll be ordering this .... looks like the build is uch stronger than the EQ nox And a few better features?

Maybe a "Dumb Person" mode will be included in the first update. I may not be smart enough for this machine.😉 A Screen Color select mode would be nice if someone prefers a red, orange, green, white etc background. Bonus points for using the word "plethora".
A guy on UA-cam says the Legend is an iron magnet, saying that iron sounds like a good target. On the 3030 iron grunts like iron should, but the Legend doesn't have that iron grunt. Is he wrong, or has he not figured out how to adjust it??
I dig very little to no iron at all with my Legend, by choice of course. Not only is there a ferrous indicator right on the home screen that can be helpful, but the target range for ferrous items can be manipulated to the user’s preference. Once a range is set then the tone, pitch, and volume of that range can be adjusted to whatever they want or discriminated out altogether. The machine does come with preset modes and ranges right out of the box (low grunt for iron by default around 1-11 VDI depending on the mode) but I do prefer customizing them based on the location. The person is welcome to email me if they’d like and I can try to help.
I just got this detector, and really like it, except for one thing. If you wear the headphones, you can forget about wearing a hat. Why couldn't they have made it so you could connect bluetooth earbuds? Other than that, it's great!

Love my legend!!! Have watched this video many times. Thinking my Legend has around 15 days on the hour meter and I learn more about it every day. There are several settings that are certainly important to understand. Volume. Ground balance. Headphones. But for anyone thinking of buying one let me assure you that the out of the box factory settings are amazing. You can open the box, snap it together and go have a fun day of detecting. It's crazy smart right out of the box. Don't think you have to be an expert to use it. Use it first, then learn it over time. Sorry I ramble sometimes. I love this hobby and am convinced that for the money the Legend is easily the best machine available. Thanks again for a great how to video!!!!
+1 here for being a hands on visual learner vs words on a page. Very concise and informative video. Nokta Makro should use this as their official tutorial. Surprised as well they didn't include the Mute button since they took feedback from actual test users before market release.

I’m on vacation, and my Garrett AT Max was giving me fits on the beach, so I got online looking for a machine with a beach mode, and found a good deal on a Legend, so I bought it. Now it’s 800 miles away at home waiting on me. Your video will help me out tremendously to be able to pick up this machine when I get home and at least know the settings so I can start detecting and learning the machine. Very helpful.

Got a question for you, my Legend screen froze up , no buttons work , battery is fully charged , can’t even turn it off. Any ideas ?

I connect Bluetooth headphones to mine in the summer with no problems. They just have to be Bluetooth aptX low latency earbuds.
