I set my legend to 6 tone that gives me 6 tone break, then I use the same tone pitch on two separate breaks. For example, 2-19 are grunts , 20-24 is a high mid tone , 24-32 is a grunt , 33-35 a mid , 36-40 a grunt, 40-60 a high tone. 4 tones , 6 different breaks. Don’t know if it makes sense and this is only an example of the actual break numbers but you get the concept. Sounds confusing but after many hours of use , it can make for a great coin/jewelry program. As usual, you give the most informative information about the Legend. Thank you for sharing, see you in the next episode. Be blessed and stay safe.
I ordered my nokta legend pro pack last week and I'm still waiting for it to ship so I'm excited. I'm going from a Vanq 540 to the Legend so I can't wait to see what I can find
You will find more than you will want to Carry Out and I use to have the Simplex + and I know about Carrying out MORE Notka Macro Simplex Quarter Tone Junk Iron Target's than Coin's and I have the X-Terra Pro now and Totally Different Detector than anything else that I have ever owned.....
I just got my Legend , it’s my first detector and really haven’t gotten to use it. Day I got it I went in the backyard and dug up some trash. I can’t wait to learn it.
Had my Legend for while and it was doing my head in. It's finally starting to click. Used my Impact in moron mode till it clicked which in turn help get my head around the Legend. When my brain hurts I just drag out the 700 . Don't need brain cells to run that one.
I will say this legend has been impressive ! Got capped bust dime , fugio, kg2 farthing hindred of buttons , old buckles . This machine got me my one and only shoe buckle . I typically run all metal nothing notched out with m1 and I have no issue hitting 12+ on targets that are deep . I have noticed I will adjust my recovery speed to be slower and slow down my swing to slow for max depth in places ive been to a few times and always pulled a few more things !
Can’t wait for the next update Beast mode can not believe this MD incredible I am already hitting on Indian head penny s at 14 inches in park M2 and this is with the. LG 28 can you imagine with the 13 inch coil with the newest mode it should be available here in the next week or so should be able to get silver at 20 inches
@@knowbuddy0 my go to setting s are as follows recovery at 7 I find it still super deep and I almost used park mode one are 2 sometimes i ground balance sometimes not full sensitivity. Majority of the times 2627 at the lowest that’s rare. I have so many silvers. I just found two piece just last week I found out if there’s a lot of modern money in a aluminum you must get that stuff up. It opens up so much new. For example, I’ve been hit this one site. It took me five took me to six times to finally pull out an old coin and it was at two and I never looked back. After that. I got five Indian and then my son got 34 silvers Money hundreds of dollars in modern money I sometimes run beach mode wet even on a grind I find out it works very well in the iron but there’s a dioxide to it you’re not gonna get a real huge amount of death out of it maybe 8 to 10 inches it’s not gonna be a real loud smack and tone either and then I also run build notes sometimes my son stripping on field mode, and he does very well with it and I’m with the legends and you don’t need to spend money on a new coil on the 30 inch quarter the new 30 I got the old stock paid $500 for the thing pretty much stored it and I found so many too many beautiful stuff the last three months unbelievableI waited for all the bugs and then I waited and I figured they were gonna come up with some kind of a great company fiberglass budget. Good luck out there.
Hardest thing to learn is going to be the target id's I think. After years of detecting on a 100 scale, the 60 scale is a little daunting...I'm used to silver dimes hitting at 86 etc...
Great video, Scott! Maybe it’s my age, but I find that as I go through different metal detectors, I tend to forget some of this basic maneuvering through the legend. It seems that every time of a new legend update came out, it got very confusing, remembering had to go from one option to another. I’ve saved all of your videos for the legend and Deus2!
Great Video will be saving to watch many times - I've owned probably a dozen machines and the Legend is # 3 on the most complicated menu system trailing far behind the V3i at #1 and the Etrac at # 2 in my opinion it's a little to heavy on the icons. Why not do both have an icon but then when you select Tone Break have it say tone break in small font next to the number? would also be nice if they showed an icon or arrow indicating a sub (secret menu option existed) I haven't been able to get out as much this year but when I have I for the most part stuck to my preset coin program on profile 1 or switched to field mode and run single freq 4khz to quiet the machine down. I'm seriously considering going back to my ORX or picking up a Deus as my primary machine as I have yet to have the moment where I have really felt 100% confident with the legend. Since I hunt alot of trashy areas maybe I should pickup the smaller coil 1st? Right now my 2nd option if a park gets too trashy is I grap the F75 * Still an excellent detector and use the small 5" dd coil and it doesn't miss anything. Other than the Multi-Freq I fell like the 9" coil in the Deus was really the best middle ground for me in term of depth and seperation. Also on a side note I carried the Legend about 2 miles through the woods and fields this weekend - mostly collapsed and over my shoulder it did not feel anywhere as close to comfortable as carrying the ORX which is really like a carrying a stick in comparison. It wasn't bad just took some fiddling with to get comfortable at times.
I have used other detectors and have used the legend for about a week. I see the tone option, is that the option to change the tones for a penny, nickel, dime, and quarter? Could you do a little video on that part? I don’t understand the tone breaks, I mostly use an at pro and fisher F5. I like the different tones for each coin but I find this machine has the same tone for all the coins.
Yes on the Same Tone's they are only using 3 Tone's High Medium and Low Tone and I going off of what I know about the Simplex + and I know that it's not a Legend Detector but that's why I prefer anything Minelab Detector's Now and I have the X-Terra Pro now and coming from using the Simplex + Notka Macro, it has opened my eyes on the capabilities of it to tell me what the detector is capable of telling me about the target and not just lumped it all together like that the Simplex did for me and the X-Terra Pro is so much cheaper than the Competition and has been a totally different Detector than anything else that I have ever owned....
Friend, switching between modes such as multi freq. to a single freq. or back and forth between 2 or 3 such settings and then readjusting the settings wasn't covered but sounds like an absolute nightmare without dedicated memory banks for for each. The reason for wanting to switch is target id, a particularly important approach for the jewelry hunters or the prospector. Time has value. The versatility potential of the detector will never be fully achieved without quick access to the disc capabilities in various modes. In short, detectorists are sick of digging trash that could have easily been avoided by using the capabilities of the machine in hand if only reasonably quick access to those functions were available. Doesn't that make sense? Not Knocking Nokta, but there is room for further development.
Hey Tom, for UA-cam memberships I don't have that option but on Patreon you can pay for a year and I do a lot more over there compared to UA-cam. I'm still trying to figure out the UA-cam side and what works best for people. Thanks for your interest.

Glad it was helpful! and thank you for subbing!

If your dimes hit 86-87 then on the legend they are 46-47 , if your silver half hit 92-93 then the silver half on the legend will be a 52-53

You can change it to 1 2 4 6 or 60 tones. You can also adjust where the tone breaks break and even adjust the volumes for each tone as well.

Are you still using the same settings as the last video you posted on them?
would the legend be good for beginners
Yes I think so. It not that hard to use, it just has some buried menu options that are annoying but out of the box anyone can learn it.
Is the legend $260.00 better then the ultra?
Uh yes
I’m still so confused how this compares to the double score
Why are you trying to compare it to the double score? They 2 different machines.
@@MentalMetal obviously they are different machines but how am I supposed to decide what to buy without comparing them😂
Bit easier then mine lab etrac
