I have a buddy that works for Nokta, and he's been asking me for some time to try the Legend. I finally said yes, and I'm glad I did. I've tried so many detectors over the years that I've been numb to new machines. I'm simple. I find a machine I like and usually stick with it for a while. It didn't take me long for this machine to impress me. This video is just me testing the machine out for the first time. I brought it to a very hunted out field that we call the Gold Coin field for good reasons. A Tavern used to sit where the iron patch is now. This place has been god to us, but lately we've found very little here. I wanted to give this machine a true test. Long story short. It passed my test, and you will be seeing it a lot more on the channel!!

I thought I smelled a new Legend in action! Lol. Way to put it though it’s paces Kurt. If you head north this winter I know some pretty handsome dudes that use this machine if you want to jump right in with us…. I mean them. 😉
😂
Hey Jason….what happened to PA Pirate Paul? Haven’t seen him lately?
Hey Kurt Congrats on the Copper and Buttons you found on a place you've hit so hard on. I've been doing that at some spots I hit really hard with the Equinox 700. I've used 4 different Detectors in these areas and the Equinox has found Coins and Relics the others have missed. I do have the Legend. This machine has flustered me even with all the success I've watched with other Detecorist. Watching you I'll give it another chance. Take Care
I've had 3 noktas now and have loved all of them, by far my favorite machines in over 15 years of detecting
I upgraded from my AT Max to The Legend earlier this year and I’ve been really happy/impressed with the performance and Nokta’s continued support via software updates and updating the hardware (coil/arm cuff/upper shaft). Really great machine!
I enjoyed your review on the Nokta Legend!! I won mine in a "Detecting the Heartland" Facebook raffle. First time out I found 4 rings in a baseball field near my home. One was a 14K Opal ring. And the ability to collapse it to 15" is a game changer, as well. It's going to the DTH hunt this Spring of 2024!! Along with my Manticore!! The Legend is the real deal, in my opinion!!
Hey John! See you in 2024 hopefully!
@@kirkgassman1612 I will be there Thursday, before the hunt , until Tuesday, after the hunt. Staying in Boone, IA
I’m always happy to see a new upload by you, nice finds!
One of my favorite videos! Loved learning the new machine with you. :)
I've been watching people metal detect for years here on UA-cam and finally purchased my first last fall. It was the Nokta Makro simplex+. Love the sounds, it was easy to figure out with many options, and the price for a completely waterproof machine couldn't be beat. I'm sure that new top of the line detector from Nokta Makro is a dream.
Love to see you using the Legend. I absolutely adore mine!
Very Kool video.... I really like the testing the Legend video.... Keep digging Brother!
Great vid Kurt!! Always nice to see what other units will pick up in previous hunted areas!!Very nice Sir!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I'm a Legend user, I love it!!!. Keep using it and it will become your goto machine. Great video, love seeing finds from a " hammered" place.
If you hold the frequency button it will mute the headphones. Then hold again to turn audio back on.
Thanks! It's a great machine
Great hunt with a great machine, Love the Legend and I am very impressed with it. Cant wait to see more videos using the Legend. All the Best John.
Thanks for showing this video, I always like seeing what feels like a true review of a machine I haven't seen tested like you did.
Dude, the Nokta Legend is an incredible machine! That's what I use and I have zero complaints. I have found small targets over a foot deep.
Great video! My favorite part is the fact that you looked like you were having a ton of fun learning that machine!
I've been swinging the Legend for well over a year now..I love it. My go to machine was/is the CTX 3030 for the last 8yrs but it took a toll on my shoulder. Spend some serious time with this machine (Legend), you'll find you'll grab it over your other detectors.
thank you I needed that laugh when you found the rivet around 11:30. Always enjoy your videos.
Glad to see a nokta back in your arsenal!!
Had the legend since they released. Been waiting on this for awhile. Great machine
Great field test on the Legend. I love my nox 800 but would definitely take the Nokta for a test drive. Another great video thanks for sharing it. Keep digging 😊
I’m glad to see you with it also. I’ve had mine a year and I have in joyed it just turn it on and go. I really do need to fine tune it myself. Thanks keep it up
Just to let you know Kurt, if you ever get tired of using the Legend, you can pass it my way! I’m at that point where reading about new detectors and purchasing are on their own little worlds. You know you could start up another UA-cam channel reviewing detectors!! Keep up the great video’s!!
Machine works great, with a fantastic hunter.
Great video, sir.
Nice to see you trying different things. Great video as usual. Love my Legend. If you want to borrow a second for another field day, let me know, I’ll let your guys borrow it.
Great video. I want to upgrade and I believe you convinced me that I could figure the machine out. I hope in the coming videos you will talk about the settings you are using. super job explaining the settings you used on that day. thanks. Looking forward to next Tuesday.
.
Must of been lonely out there with none of the guys with you! Nice finds and I look forward to seeing how this machine does for you in the future. Must admit I watch this channel every week, for years, but don't own a detector. I live vicariously through you all!! LOVE the show and be careful going out alone!
Awesome review thank you so very much for sharing 👍👍❤️
Awesome digs Kurt! I am curious about this machine so would be interested if you do more videos with it..
Fantastic machine! You will love it!
Looks like you had a fun time this day. Congrats on your finds!
I've been using the legend for a year and a half, and it's awesome especially when you dial in the settings. Very happy with it overall.
Nice machine Kurt !! Just an awesome dig
Thanks for the review on the Legend. Happy hunting.
Love my Legend. Thinking you will enjoy yours. Cool hunt. Thanks for sharing!!!
nice, as always , Kurt!
Nice vid! I went from the AT Max to the Nokta legend and I’m impressed. First time out I found a barber dime in a spot I’ve hit a lot with the Max. Next time out hit multiple Wheaties, a standing liberty, and a couple war nickels. I look forward to seeing more of your vids using the legend!
Just amazing!
Strong work Curtis.
Awesome video!!
I think this was the most honest review I’ve seen not only about the legend but about a metal detector as a whole. I love my simplex but I have been wanting to upgrade for a while now. I was just sold on the legend because of your video. Thanks for sharing with us.
I have started with the Simplex+ a couple of years ago. A great beginner machine. I bought a used Nox 600 which I have used the small coil on that I had bought used also. My next machine will be a Legend or one of the new Simplex machines. Nokia makes quality machines and accessories.
@@kirkgassman1612 I bought the small coil for the simplex and it made a huge difference for the area’s I hunt in. (Iron infested) I really just want to tryout a multi-frequency to see the difference. Maybe I’ll look for a used machine as well. Happy Hunting!!!
You are an honest, hard workin man, and a favorite UA-camr from way back.👍
Thank you for the continued support!!
Haha I like your style. Got myself a legend a few weeks ago and I am impressed with it's performance so far, alot less chattery than the simplex and loving the headphones
Wow that is a nice machine, sounds pretty good!!
I haven't seen you this excited in a while. Great reaction time and time saving. I would keep it if you can.
Man brother, thats awesome, i started out on a Garrett AT Pro, great machine, but i went to the legend when yhey came out, i love it! Congratulations on the Connecticut!!
Thanks for the video and great Legand review
WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!!! These are the best detectors around. Been running since the original RACER
came out these don’t miss anything!!
Great job and great video too 😊
Cool thanks for sharing!!!!
Good 👍 job Kurt. Looks like a very good machine.
Great video. Just had my first day out in the mountains of AZ, with the Nokta Legend. Found endless targets of 22 casings and small bits of tin and iron. Should get some good use out of it. The settings you discussed are a big help. Thanks for the video!
Watch your videos every week I've found more nickels in the short time I've owned the legend than I have since I purchased my first Garrett's back in the early 90's and it was the top of the line Garrett's had to offer don't get me wrong i enjoy my Garrett's but absolutely love my legend, glad to see you finally try the legend out, Hoover boys Rock
Great job testing. I love the Nokta Simplex Plus. Some day, I may try the legend.
Looking forward to seeing your future reviews 👍 ATB 🦀
Thanks for the Legend review thinking about getting one
I really appreciate your support of the P-Cord! You'll never have a tangle or lost pinpointer again 🎉
Thanks for sharing your new defector video
Nice job with the Legend! Legend is my primary swing, but I also have a Nox 800 I got a few months before getting the Legend. Nox feels like a smoother swing, but the Legend feels chattier...but has way more options to dial into, so once I can get it dialed in, it's on the same level as the 800 or better. Looking forward to more Legend vids!
The Legend is a Legend! Mason Merc hunts with it and he's 9 years old! If a 9 year old can slam relics with it than so can anyone! Awesome video Kurt! Enjoy that new machine! We look forward to seeing you use it for years to come!
Nice machine & good job Kurt!
That was a really good test! Nokta will be happy.
Awesome hunt glad you enjoyed the Legend I own two of them and I love em once you get more familiar with it maybe it will become your go to machine God Bless and happy dirt fishing
You are plenty light enough my friend I love that machine it beats my bounty hunters my ace 400 and my old whites it’s taken me twenty years to get these four detectors bought and paid for and will never have a nice machine like you have but at least I get to watch you use them the nice ones like that. I’m old sick and love to watch your videos Thank you brother for playing these videos. I seen that big foot watching you from the bushes he looked scary to me .
I've heard great things about the Legend. Our buddy down here in Florida, Terry Shannon, loves it too. If i didn't have any machines and had to choose, it would be a Legend at this point. Thanks for the cool video.
I've been the owner of several White's machines since the 80s and bought my last machine just before they folded up, then bought a Nox 800. This Nokta machine looks to be my next one. I was thinking another nox, but nahhh, I think I might actually like this little gizmo. 👍
I have enjoyed my Legend. It has just enough settings and oddities about it that keep you interested. I have an Equinox 800 and the Legend is telling me things differently than the Nox did. That is a good thing, it's really amazing how different detectors see what is in the same ground/ same spot.
Man I love your stream! Keep it up boys!
I bought the Nokta Legend because of your video. It's my first ever metal detector. I've been watching y'all for years and I'm finally going to start detecting! Thanks Kurt!
Awesome! Good luck with it
Your video is just in time because I just won a Nokta Legend WHP....Now I can't wait to use it....Nice copper and buttons...👍
So happy to see you finally try the Legend. I'm a proud owner of one. Screen does have backlight.😁 Also the settings options are pretty thorough and extensive for each persons style of detecting, and the ground environment. Good luck with it in the future
He said the keypad has no backlight, we saw the screen backlight in the video. Looks like an impressive detector. I'm impressed with their pin pointer, that I use.
@@CheshireTomcat68 I took glow n the dark paint a filled in the resest portion on the buttons.... fixed
@@PedalHeadz that's an idea
Haha cracked me up getting spooked at the end. I would have been freaked out long before that point
Very nice debut with the new machine, especially grabbing that Conn copper- once you know it, who knows what you'll find- speaking from experience, there WILL be more finds that you previously missed.
I have been using it for about a week. The pad does light up and there is a setting for that. I told myself that I would try it and then go right back to my old detector but I compared them and I was finding targets that my old detector just was not finding. Like Kurt said the iron signals are soft sounding unless it's really big. I have not dug a nail as of yet.
Yes... Legend ... waiting a long time for you guys to try it ... Happy Legend User ..
Nice finds!
8:28 Woody's hat, from Toy Story 😎
14:25 Thought ya had some steak and bacon in that bucket. 😆
I always thought it'd be great as a detectorist, being friends with Magneto. Imagine bringing him out to any field, and he could just suck out every last bit of iron, unmasking everything in seconds. I guess the fact that he's fictional, could be a problem. 🤣
Awesome review man!!
Very in my price range as well😁👍🏻
It's never a successful metal detecting day if you don't find a pull tab.
Great video.
Love my Legend machine it is now my go-to machine
old pounded ground with new machine equals fun time. Ha ha ha. I had same experience here. Pounded ground with at gold and nox 800. got me a xp deus and wow insane finds that the other two missed. Ha ha ha. So much fun.
great job Kurt nice to see an honest test and opinions on a machine here in England a lot of those who do tests on new machines do not have a clue what they are talking about and even swing the pendulum ,you should do more LOL the problem with that is when detecting it is always best to use a machine that is an extension of your arm so to speak,,best wishes my friend and stay safe ,,,Pat
Awesome machine
Nice video and finds 👊
I just ordered the legend last night, it’s gonna be my first metal detector, I’m looking forward to trying it out.
Great hunt
Im glad to see you are trying the legend. Ive had mine since it came out. If its possible to love a machine ya. Might i suggest you watch a recent video calabash digger did settings to hunt in iron it turned my machine into a vacume for targets in a truly hunted out trash site. Have fun.
I'm thinking of getting a legend for the beach and along with your video I think it would be the right choice. Thank you
You did good for right out of the box. I got the Legend in May and really like it. Mostly hunted the beach and its great there. I got it because it has a reputation for not leaking in the water. I am getting ready to hit some hunted out spots with it to see if I can breathe some new life in them. Get the waterproof headphones and go overboard. I think you'll like it. Thanks!
Awesome , just used my legend at DIV in Virginia did pretty good in the red dirt. Legend is gonna be a great water machine for you . I love mine and pairs with new yellow pinpointer . It’s def my fav thanks for sharing
Nice! Great to hear that
"A machine always gets heavier when you're not digging holes." That is a great quote.
Great video Kurt. Hope you and the family had a nice Halloween
Nice hunt I enjoyed the video. 🇺🇸
Best wishes out there. Happy hunting. Best wishes.
Excellent review. Glad to see you didn't dig the area out.
Love my legend, can adjust it in everyway
My AT Pro has been really good to me over the last seven years. Got a Legend this summer. About 10 silvers and three gold rings from heavily pounded fields so far. Like going from a VW to a Hellcat.
Do you find the Legend goes deeper on those silvers? Are the signals loud? Thanks
@@spacefury65 Yes it goes deeper. It has good tones and can be custom set. Also has volume control. Great machine at a great price. Most of the Silvers weren't deep. The Garrett just missed them.
For a place that was dug out, you still managed to find some stuff. Not bad.
You should take it to the Indian Burial ground to see if you can find anything there with it.
Thanks for sharing your adventure, Kurt. Good review. 👍
I would love to have that machine but I’m a very poor old man 70 years old and would love to have it but I’m afraid that is all I will ever do is want it. Just wish and dream. Oh well just dream. Thanks for all your wonderful videos.
Nice video!
Awesome
Very good review. And finding that copper was a nice bonus. I wonder how it will do in another field. Will it live up to it's name? Stayed tuned.
