I’ve studied personality as a hobby for years at this point, but sometimes I guess how much of this is actually a result of a splitting away from focus on the community and the strengthening (to an arguably pathological level) of individuality and by extension, the ego. Living in small tribes means you can’t really deviate much from what is expect of you (I.e. role) which suggests we are psychologically adapted to fit in to a particular role within a group. Which might be the cause of perceived imbalances in one’s “personality”. It appears to me that one’s duty might be more important than discovering yourself, beyond finding what it is you’re naturally inclined to.
Newcomer here, but i predict this channel will explode. The delivery is really well done, and Roni's producer/editor includes flawless splices of relevant clips that add to but does not distract from the video's message. The producer/editor is worthy of serious praise.
Regrettably, I disagree. These videos are very information dense - not really digestible for the average UA-cam viewer. She obviously has a conservative perspective. Teaming up with Jordan Peterson, as she has done in other videos, is a gutsy move on her part. I find very little about her presentations to be disagreeable but I'm sure others will disagree mightily.

I am unsure of why this surprises me, but hey, as in other fields, it turns out a person's character is multi-dimensional i.e. not one person only neurotic or agreeable - they have all these characters to a certain degree. I think that people should spend more time (or at least SOME time) on self-study in order to become more aware of themselves and, by proxy, of others. Stumbling on videos such as this one seems like a very good place to start.
I really appreciate the extended breakdown of Big 5. Finding information about the less academically explored systems (technically Socionics has been - just not in North America), a few of which were mentioned at the start, sometimes seems easier than accessing solid info about Big 5. Hopefully we'll be able to properly study many of those other systems in the future. They all feel a bit like animation cels from cartoons or the early Disney movies. Each system provides a look at a layer of our personality. Knowing just one tends to lead to the "I have a hammer so every problem is a nail" situation. The split breakdown of each characteristic was something I had not heard before. Certain things make a bit more sense when it's been separated like that.
I think that is bc they are not sure the 5 will won't turn out like Myers-Briggs, invalid and ultimately misleading. I like it, I don't like M-B, but the big 5 is not perfect, it has gaps. For example the most common psych disorders are not really covered. You could say lack in numbers x and y, and strong tendency in 1 and 4 = narcissist, but that's not currently how they identify narcissism, sooo Perhaps I am incorrect in putting together my overall view, but the facts I'm using are pretty simple. How do you address NPD, HPD, BPD, ADHD with OCEAN? It might be helpful to round out the view of a patient's state, help understand some answers with better perspective, but it should not be used for assessment, imo. Any new theory is highly dangerous to apply to a person if that person doesn't fit the mold, but it's deeper than that. It could miss a very significant aspect of the psyche, I suspect it does, which if left out of the equation is a crucial mistake in the direction of development, possibly not reversible, or worse never discovered. Psychology is dangerous, use it wisely. }peace
@@blackopal3138I would agree that caution with psychology is important. Any system that can explain everything is almost certainly wrong. There are too many variables and exceptions. I also appreciated how she pointed out that you can extend your range within your trait tendency. I have found this to be true.

I am in my 50s so been around awhile and spent a lot of time around the edges of psychology and more in depth on business leadership. Studied an MBA in the early 2000s and wrote a paper at the time which was not well received but I believe has proven correct. It was clear even then that the world was moving to a position where leadership positions in business, institutions, politics and academia were going to be moving to women. I proposed that this would come with some major shake ups in society because of the different psychological make up of men and women and particularly those that end in leadership positions. Essentially while men and women are more alike than different they do differ quite significantly in agreeableness and neuroticism. I believe that in combination these traits make women more likely to value kindness above truth in a value hierarchy and would lead to all sorts of changes when reflected in society. In addition the way women compete is much different to men, more likely to favour reputation destruction and indirect competition. I did not say whether this would be good or bad just that this would have a major impact that smart people could plan for and position for. Is this reason for the rise of woke and cancel culture. I don’t know but my gut is that the feminisation of academia and cultural institutions in particular ushered in the woke bullying, virtue signalling and cancel culture. What I didn’t take into account was the ease that men would release their power and even when in positions of authority not stand on their principles. I believe this has magnified the effect. It is what it is but if we want to change it we need to understand it. I don’t think you need to go back to how it was but just realise the tendency that can arise. Hopefully this is just a pendulum swing and it will come back to a more balanced position where truth is once again paramount.

Great video as usual. Really enjoyed the media references for each trait and facet. The dopamine system underlying Intro/Extraversion was really interesting. Are extraverts are more likely to get addicted, having to rely on external sources in the first place? Does constant ambient dopamine lead introverts to become depressed more often? I find it difficult to see some of these traits as oppositional spectra. I'm commonly identifying with aspects of both ends, sometimes extremely, simultaneously. Total aside, but does anyone have an invisible secretary in their head? Like a person or function in the background that tracks time quite accurately, and handles background tasks that you aren't consciously doing? There's a lot on this regarding working or sleeping on a problem and "solving it" while you take a break from consciously thinking about it. But more personally for example, I can think to myself "Wake up at 8", or will set an alarm for 8 before going to sleep, and I'll just automatically wake up at that time before the alarm almost every time.

I have over 26 years of experience as a R&D professional in IT, telecommunications, cybersecurity and currently I am a consultant. I am interested in many areas of science and everything related to human existence. This person - Roni is my hope for everyone of us in the AI era, because only by striving for higher ideals and perfection is the only way to continue our path as a civilization. She is a goddess in every feature and detail (Only people like her can compete with the strength of the newest AI instances), let the others seek her path! I just hope Roni is a real person - too perfect to be real, hopefully not an experiment by some noble billionaire who decided to create a spiritual renaissance among people. I smell Elon Musk here - I guess a big team behind the scenes also.
I find it difficult to understand my neuroticism: in calm situations I can become visibly upset by people. But not to the point of yelling like in Seinfeld. In stressful situations where I know these are not caused by a persons fault I suddenly calm down, figure out what to do, employ others to solve the situation at hand and work my way through the mess
I really love the content, I have one technical suggestion: sometimes the image lags behing the audio by a few frames and is a bit distracting, It is generally better to have the audio lag a few frames than viceversa.
I wonder what it means if you find yourself above 50% on all Big 5 traits. I'm not low on anything. Conversely, what would it mean if someone found themselves low on everything?
I gotta give a point to Myers Briggs over the Big 5... They're quite similar, but the Big 5 seems to like breaking the dichotomies down by percentiles... I just don't think it's as useful as reviewing facets and behaviors of the dichotomies with someone, and letting them decide for themselves to which side they relate more... After all, someone at the "65th percentile" for extraversion could still lean more toward introverted behavior I'm sure the percentile aspect could be more useful for certain study applications, but as far as someone understanding themself, I think it can send the wrong message.

Because taxonomies are not always obvious, and take time to be identified. Linaean Taxonomy, that categorizes living organisms, humans for example as Homo sapiens, was only done in the 18th century. Improving on the previous Aristotelian classifications, of mineral, vegetable, beast, and human. Though in Ancient Greece there was something of a personality Taxonomy, prior to the 20th century. It was tied to humoric theory.
What are you thoughts on the following claims? 1. Women are not evolutionarily wired for any concern for ethics. How could one be when born to consume and the burden of reproduction, evolutionarily speaking? 2. Why has this question never been posed anywhere on the internet with a serious microphone/platform? 3. Will you?
Women are wired for ethics. Given that they're usually more socially involved and networked, they're often more ethically aware than men. And it's this social awareness alongside agreeableness that manifests in conformity which we also see so often in women, or that leads to particular vulnerability to social contagion. Now, if the ethical programming derived by a culture is particularly absurd, or if it is especially extreme in time or collectivism preference, then the behaviour of these kinds of women will appear particularly unethical to an outsider that doesn't conform to that culture, or has a different time or collectivism preference. Generally in the west, that culture is negative utilitarianism: removing suffering, especially short term suffering, right now. Perfectly expressed in things like giving drugs to drug addicts, or removing police. Alternatively, if you're talking more about Feminism, then I'd blame the Marxist ethical framework more than anything else. Oppressor/oppressed dynamics justify all of it, such that you see yourself as ethical even when killing your oppressors, regardless of whether the initial grievance is actually substantive or not. Hence why the concept of patriarchy and a tinted view of the past is vital to Feminism, similar to Marxism, or Intersectionality.
I don't need to pay for a test, Jordan Peterson was going to make it free until Mikhaila with her industriousness put a fee on it. Such info shouldn't come with a price tag, it should be free in school.
I care to disagree about Elon Must currently hard working problem. He is top 10 Diablo IV player in the world... Another more important point, is to be a little more careful to tagging types of personalities to certain types of behaviors. Each one of us a unique recipe of all the messy inputs we get on life.

I'm very interested in human and psychology and so your videos at the exeption of your caracterisation of sexual exibitionism and prostitution that is heavily influence by Christianity and other semitic religions and its repression of women sexuality. Humans are in the middle of an evolution between a socialistic society like the chimpanzees (and bonobos) where the females are promiscuous trying to copulate with the highest ape in the tree and nesting, nest-bound birds living in couples. As the human baby is born so premature , fragile and dependant and so need a long period of learning and maturation, a couple need to stay together at least 18 years to cooperate to reproduce for the first child with the help of the relatives. So, I think what is the most important is the support of an extended family and clan or small village to support the mother because for a man to dedicate his entire life to his wife and children he want to be more or less sure that the children are his. In some ways it is normal for women to use sex to get support and finding a good man to marry orto use sex to make money. Otherwise she need the strong support from her family or group. If she is attractive enough but doesn't have the support of a family or a good husband Sex is a wayto make an income. I thing selling sex is not a crime or deviation anymore than a survival strategy without an adequate family support. Sixty to seventy % of volutary prostitutes are hypersexuals having been traumatised by sexual abuse or exposed to sex as children or have no family support. Absolutly nothing to do with the predatory use of sex. Even if multiple sexual encounters without emotional commitment can develop sociopatie with time. The oposite: sexual repression of women, bigotry or/and the lack of support withing the family or economic hardship are the main reasons of prostitution and sex-work. To declare as bad or sinfull, to hate women doing sexwork is just bigotry of the most cruel type causing denial of their human rights and so the main cause of human trafiking. What is slavery if it isn't the denial of human rights?
1. Where do human rights come from in your opinion.? 2. Why is prostitution inherently permissible? 3. Historically, the reason the thinkers of natural law theory have rejected sexual promiscuity as immoral, is primarily that it risks children born out of wedlock.
What if one understand himself fine and the problem is they are disgusted and don't want to participate in any of this? It seems morally wrong to participate whatsoever and at all. I want out of society and I have no interest in fitting in. Less than none. I have a couple relatives left to care for then I'm going to the woods. You guys can all suck it. You've been too corrupted just to play in this game. Say what you will about my social personality, I suppose, with all that said, but I'd rather be animal man than societal man. At least one is still natural.
Sounds like someone is high in openness and neuroticism, seems you have assertiveness but not as much enthusiasm from the conscious trait. You could have been born an animal and you'd know your place in the world. Don't let it overwhelm you this world has made leaps and bounds in 100 years, we don't beat women and children and keep slave for past time ect. We're only here to make it a little better. If you were born into a perfect world you may complain about spending your life frolicking in the sun
@coolhandluke1503 I'd as soon take my chances alone against nature and live off my instincts until nature finally beats me, naturally, and having walked to old path, as I would to care what mankind is up to. I'm only still here turning circles for a couple relatives than need my presence. Then ill be out of here.

What an unbelievably thorough, clear, and insightful video! Wow!
Yes, I’m very interested in a one-on-one session! How can we make that happen?
Great!
Thank you for getting into the big 5! Being European, I really don't agree with the American fetishization of the MBTI...
Is there a self test you can recommend ?
How dare you bring up Samwise Gamgee and leave out the "I can't carry it for you; but I can carry you" scene... I was THIS close to subscribing ;)
Conversely, what would it mean if someone found themselves low on everything?
it would be great to have chapters for those who don´t want to watch the whole 52min videos, thanks.
After all, someone at the "65th percentile" for extraversion could still lean more toward introverted behavior
I'm sure the percentile aspect could be more useful for certain study applications, but as far as someone understanding themself, I think it can send the wrong message.
MBTI also uses percentiles and boxes you to whichever trait is closer, same as big 5.
So, I’m negative biased, low-neurotic, middle in agreebleness, middle in opennes, introvert.
Thoughts on numerology? All the greats through history ie Einstein, Da Vinci, Aristotle, Socrates, all were numerologists. It, is a trip. 33/6. Trips me out. Very accurate, very insightful, helpful.
So much pain in our troubled but beautiful world
MBTI helps to start understanding.
High intelligence , low conscientiousness that’s me :/
Isn't that combo leaning toward sociopathic?
@ lol I’m not sure 🤔 If it does I dodged it thankfully
@@yaynotx7 lol,. Maybe it's worth noting that conscientiousness should be bolstered by intelligence? Or your intelligence has led you to value things other than what your community values, no? Otherwise, how do we define conscientiousness?
@@blackopal3138 well the way I understand it , its basically discipline, choosing long term goals over short term gratification, following through, doing what’s best and not what you want to do , cleanliness(which is the easiest out of these for me ) please tell me if I’m wrong
@@blackopal3138 I did take a personality test that said I was low on conscientiousness , high in openness , about average in agreeableness and extroversion, low in neuroticism
I'm just as confused about myself as I was before...
She is easier to understand than Peterson
So then why is it no one had a personality before Carl Jung?

I dare say these traits evolved before we could hunt
For all the women out there this is what a 10 is….
indeed, she's married and unfortunately women like her are not so common
Dude. No simping.
A good woman deserves to be happily married, let's celebrate Roni and her husband winning in life
A psychologist? that's a bit unfair
Yeah and shes all natural and sht 👍🏾
If “hating corrupt government” is a personality; I don’t see it as a problem.
MBTI is the best
I care to disagree about Elon Must currently hard working problem. He is top 10 Diablo IV player in the world...
Another more important point, is to be a little more careful to tagging types of personalities to certain types of behaviors. Although this affirmation is more often than not correct, there are more than a 1000 types of variations in-between the types of personalities. Each one of us a unique recipe of all the messy inputs we get on life.

I like me.
I subscribe to the channel cause she's hot. Personality is a ever changing process your not bound to just 1 type shit happens and you react and change to that shit. your never the same person every day. come on.
Leave a reply and then delete it a few minutes later if you're also high in Withdrawal!
Definitely on the spectrum.. lol ; ]
You're brilliant but please, its" COULDN'T care less"
It seems to me too much a discourse conducent to physical determinism.
Must laugh. What personality? Perhaps all those women, who i helped (in the most practical way) and helped unconditionally, know much better the answer 😅
when the orderly follow any rules even from the tyrannical that's a dangerous thing, they become useful idiots
Cool only a loser would talk shit about other people cheers! 🍺

Why are you 1) so incredibly obsessed with sex (womens' in particular) & 2) posting about it in relation to this podcast?
ps i'm a psychopath understaning myself is eazy
it doesnt do shit
What makes you think you're a psychopath?

Then ill be out of here.
congrats on your almost all natural look. we men, will take it as good enough these days lol. no tats, not overweight. so far, so good as an example to the rest, so what is it you have to say sweetie? jk, i actually almost take you seriously. no woman will speak ill of monogamy however, and so part of your spill is 100% laughable horseshlt, no offense
