Lapmonitor race timing system 1st race,

Hi and welcome back to WTF Rc Cars,
Today we have the 1st race with the Lapmonitor race timing system,
We have 1 Arrma Senton 3s
Running stock motor and esc 3s battery and flysky noble nb4 tx and fgr4s rx, savox servo,
1 Traxxas Slash running hobbywing max10 sct esc and 4000kv motor, Savox SB2274SG servo,
1 Xray Xb2 2wd buggy running 9.5T brushless motor, Hobbywing XR10 Pro esc, Corally CS-5016 High Voltage High Speed Coreless Servo and 2s battery
Lapmonitor system is LapMonitor Training Kit (JR)

We are considering this system for our club races.
Any issues with the system not picking up cars when people would cross at the same time ?
Also, our lanes are 10feet wide (1/8 scale). Do you think this system would work on a wider track.

The distance the lapmonitor can detect the car is 5m worst case with sun shining on the ir pickup in ideal scenario it can detect the transponder up to 10m away, when you have the device at the correct hight and the transponder mounted so the led is facing directly into the ir pickup it's very accurate and does not have issues with multiple cars passing very close to eachother as it needs to see the ir signal from the transponder only for a very short time to register the lap.

Depends on what RC your running really and how clear it can see the sensor
