Great to hear an update on how you’ve got on with this setup. Seems fantastic and 100% agree it would help practice those RC racing skills. Added to the wish list for me. If only transponders were cheaper
Another good informative video. Im trying to set up a little club near me and would like to ask .....Would a lap monitor system be a good start and will it cope with say upto eight racers all racing together.?.....maybe If you could show it working with a few more of you ? Cheers!
How big of a hole is required in tire to get proper signal? Do cars transponders need to be visible to the decoder at they pass by for them to be scanned? As im transposed led facing towards the decoder?
Thank you for this video, highly useful information for a beginner! One question is it worth investing in a transponder for racing at club meets? Or do Clubs provide them?
Best bet is check with your local club.. some clubs have spare transponders and it is important to make sure you get the right one because not all clubs run the same system
Any Tips on running say 2 groups of 6 and after a qualifyer run will it sort all drivers based on time into 2 groups again say A main and B main ? thanks !
Hey guys. Is it true that if you use the LapMonitor with a pc/laptop that the software has more features and you can run heats and finals managed by the software?

It has been brilliant over and worth every penny
How far you boys have come!
Brilliant. Cheap for what it is i think. Definitely worth the fun it will bring at the track in the backyard.
Beer, BBQ, and Buggies. 😮😃
That's very cool. I was surprised how affordable it was as well.
Formal racing or backyard racing.
Nice Vid guys.
Very interesting system. Thanks for showing👍
It has been really useful … we don’t take it out to every race session but when we are wanting to race with timing it is super simple

We will see what we can do … there are 99 transponders available so it can run a lot more cars

Not sure as we have always run it from iPad and iPhone
Only problem is if you want a Lapmonitor you can't get it delivered as they don't ship to the UK.
We got it shipped when we ordered but now they have a store selling other uk
We do ship to uk for order above 135GBP, also you can also purchase in UK at Rennick's modeltune
Only need a transponder.. Will have to wait for Modeltune to restock.
Good video, but really, do something about the sound (your mic´s) :-)
Yes you are right, unfortunately our mics failed on this video. But thanks for the feedback👍👍
