Hello, part of laptime announcement that is skipped is because of bluetooth speaker goes to sleep when they are many seconds in between 2 announcements. 2 solutions to avoid this is to enable your name to be announced (your name may be skipped instead of the laptime), second solution is to enable background music in settings, for example "tick" that will be repeated every 2 secs to avoid bluetooth speaker go to sleep mode. You can change the level of this tick to not be annoyed by it

Hi, thanks a lot for this great video. when you use LapMonitor on outside track we recommend to install transponder with LED directed to clear body area or hole to get good detection. Signal usually works through painted body only inside

2. how does it work outdoors in high heat bright very sunny days?

Hi, great video.. .didn't know this one existed.. Do you think it will work on the mini crawler course in a scx24 - or have you maybe tried it already on the indoor course.
I guess to avoid the sound lag issue you could plug the speaker into the tablet with a cable.
Yep! That was the issue. The lag between the iPad and speaker. Nothing to do with the lap monitor!

What shocks are on the mini b + what weight oil so basically whats your full suspension setup.
Those are some gpm shocks made for the mini b. Think I put a 20wt oil in them to start with. Haven’t ran it a ton with them on yet but they seem to work pretty well.
Hey i'm new to rc and I got a scx24, the stock motor died after a week and a few weight upgrades. I decided to take everything apart because I ordered a barrage motor, and the stock motor started working again somehow, ran for 20 minutes or so and died again. However, when I plugged my barrage motor into my esc to test it, theres no response. My steering and lights still work fine. Do you think I just have two bad motors or could my ESC be on it's way out? Or some other phenomenon locking up my drivetrain?
Well, welcome to the hobby 😆. Nothing like always repairing and troubleshooting these little things lol. It almost sounds like there could be a short in the plug for the motor on the esc or something. Have you tried to kinda wiggle the wire where it plugs into the esc? Kinda odd that the barrage would do nothing straight out of the pack. I feel like it’s more to do with the esc honestly.
@@2fmrc I just tried wiggling the plugs on both motors to no avail, thank you so much though! I would be hopeless with this stuff if it wasn't for your channel 🤣
@@grant1389 dang! I would try emailing horizon if you haven’t had it all that long. Tell them you tried another motor because you thought that was the issue but the new motor isn’t working either and you think it may be the esc. Do you have a way to test the battery? If you’re using the stock charger it could possibly not be charging it at all and that be the issue also. The stock chargers are known to have issues. Or if you have a local hobby shop take it to them and maybe they could open a new one and cross test the electronics or something. Sorry I’m not much help lol
@@2fmrc Great suggestions; I have 2 batteries that are charging to the best of my knowledge, they still had charge after driving for an hour or so. I'm going to email horizon and go from there

Hi there. I thought the ir led had to be pointed through either a clear window or a hole in the body? Are you saying it works through a painted body?
Mine has worked really well through the body of the losi mini b. Haven’t tried it on anything else but no issues with those.

@@theaverageredneck8426 yeah planning on it. Just had a long list of stuff to get to. Honestly the mud bashers are too small imo. Not much on them. I haven’t even been running them much. My son is using them on the truck he laid claim to lol. The new boggers are great tho!

Is there any limit on how long it can record or how many laps it can record at once? It’d be cool to record my entire practice session at the track to see what my best lap was 😁
I honestly don’t know for sure but I haven’t had it stop on me. My sessions from yesterday ran from 3pm-4pm and over 200 laps total and it has them all saved.

What shocks are you running on that Toyota scx24 they just look so supple and smooth in some of your other videos
My latest yota build? The one that is just the cab? Sorry I have an old yota build that is the full body and bed. Just making sure I have the correct one. If it’s the latest one with the cab only those are the treal oil filled aluminum shocks with 20wt oil in them. I run the vlp springs from the kinetic double barrel shocks on them because the springs that come with them were just a bit too stiff to me. These are definitely my favorite shock setup at the moment. So super smooth like you said. Im actually working on an update of the kinetic shocks in a vid now and towards the end I talk a bit about the treal oil filled shocks on that truck and show them a bit.
Yeah I was talking about the one with just the cab I got some hot racing shocks thinking they would be better they are but I'm looking for something smooth and more than stock travel like those oil filled ones I love that build too perfect balance of 💩📦and nice build
