In the ’90s I had a radio that allowed you to physically set the stick to 70/30 proportion of movement to get a longer throttle travel. I’ve thought about the setting on my modern transmitters and come to the same conclusion as you: if you calibrate the center position and end positions to what they physically are, using 70/30 or 50/50 doesn’t matter, but it should match what you used when calibrating, and what your ESC is set to use. I’m having trouble updating my NB4+ with W11 but I’m still working on it and ensuring I have done everything as advised, so I won’t be asking about anything for now.
I run w11 in all my updating vids so it definitely works with the flysky software, use assistant from my link drive.google.com/file/d/1U24dp0KKnZ3aOgAz1OeVTR3-rKGiDPZs/view?usp=drivesdk
It’s a brand new radio without saved models so I just ran the firmware updater. My mistake turned out to be a rookie one: I thought I was using a good data cable but using the included one fixed everything like a snap.
Good video again. I just did the last update a month ago when I got my NB4+ and didn't think I was gonna do this one but the min/max for the sensors is nice and ill probably do this update sometime soon.
Yea just did v109 TX & RX update today. If FSA didn't take 15mins to open it wouldn't be that bad. Updater is definitely way to go only took few mins at most.

Hello, where did you get the adapter that you plugged in to to do the update for the new version 1.0.9? When I try to update mine from the battery pack it just seems to be charging the transmitter battery in the handle. Nothing happening on the computer and the screen on the transmitter goes blank. Thanks!
It's the usb cable you are using it has to be a data cable if it's just a power cable it will only charge and won't show up in pc, also remove and re fit your base battery to make sure the connection it's made to the radio from the battery for data :)

Great videos, new to the hobby. I have a question I hope you can answer. I cant log into the flysky assistant on my windows PC. The wheel just keeps spinning forever saying "connecting to server" ive been trying for about 30 minutes. See a lot of people with the same result and cant find a fix. Thanks!

I have a new NB4+, not the pro, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get this update to work. Have you any recommendations on how to do this on a Windows 11 machine? All my update vids on done on W11 so yeh just as I do it in the vid :) some things to check make sure you are using the cable that came with the transmitter and not just a random usb c cable as some cables are power only not data cables, also remove and re fit the base battery to make sure it's connected correctly to the transmitter. If you are not hearing the usb connection sound from the pc as you plug in the transmitter then there is an issue with the cable or the base battery of the transmitter or the usb socket so try another usb socket. But it all works on windows 11 even the 24h2 update and even on a handheld pc running W11 :)
So when should you update this ? I see mine is at 1.0.3std How fast / soon should we be updating this ? Should we update every time a new update comes along?
Hi, a friend of mine and i switched from nb4 to nb4+. Our new NB4 cant load the saved models. "he imported data comes from an unsupported device model".... :(

After you update the transmitter the 1st time it powers up it will pop up a screen saying update the RF just click yes. Also if you look through the menu on the transmitter there is an option that says update RF
For all us us that ended up with the chinese version what did you do with this POS? $300 paperweight? Epic fail by Flysky to have no way of simply changing languages! Yes its mostly the sellers fault for not stating this was a slope version....I had no idea! What a JOKE! Sorry bro I had to vent somewhere ill maybe get $100 for it on ebay.....yay
I get ya but flysky had it all over their page before release and they made all resellers aware so it really was just bad sellers on AliExpress and other platforms unfortunately.

No you can't swap but there is no difference in how they work or the features they have :)

It will only do speed not the drag time

It's likely your isp or antivirus blocking it

It's always best to be on the latest update as they not only add new features but fix bugs in the firmware

You don't need the transmitter connected when operating up assistant but doesn't make a difference if it is :)

The server is blocked by all USA isp's so you will need the offline version when it's released

How do you update the RF. Same way just under update RF?

Fgr4b or if you want 100% waterproof the fbr8 short antenna version the long antenna version is for boats to get the antenna above the water line :)
