Completing the square to identify the max,min, vertex and axis of symmetry

www.freemathvid... We will learn how to graph a quadratic in vertex form and graph a quadratic in standard form by completing the square and rewriting the equation in vertex form. When the quadratic is in vertex form we learn how to identify the axis of symmetry and vertex. Then apply transformations to identify the new graph. Lastly we will learn how to write the equation of a quadratic given the vertex, a point or three points.
y = x^2 + 2x - 3
