Madam, all your lectures are so lucid! We did not have calculus in high school, and as a clinician I needed to understand the dynamics of the on-going Covid-19 pandemic. I have been able to learn calculus from your lectures, and have been successful in understanding the epidemic curves much better. thanks so much!
I really appreciate how you explain each step and include the simplest of things like labeling the slope as ‘m’ because some of us get confused when only slope is said.
Thank you SO much NancyPi! This video saved my life because my online lecture skipped the tangent equation part, making it extremely confusing and having me stuck in a problem because I forgot how to recreate the Y-Y1=m(X-X1) form and turning it into Y=mX+b for the final answer. You explained this concept very clearly and I am extremely grateful for this. I subscribed to you and liked the video. Thank you again and I hope to watch more of your Calculus videos in the future. Best regards.
OMG you are so helpful! Taking calc online during COVID has been awful. I got a 30 out of 100 on my first test, and I have my second one this week. I finally understand this after watching your video!! I am gonna binge the rest of your videos now to save my grade!
The basic Example really helped me get underway on my derivatives homework. I've never had to learn them until Uni, and still didn't grasp it in the week I had lectures about it. Thanks for an awesome video.
Your videos are great btw. Way better than every professor at purdue and were essentially a top 3 engineering school in the nation. please keep making more

thank you sm for doing this . I really learn alot from your videos than from my maths class. im actually writting about this in a couple of hours and i seriously didnt have a cooking clue on what " tangent to a curve " is and my textbook looks like its written in a foreign language to me rn so your video reallllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy helped me thank you :)
oh my gosh, thank you so much. i've been dying trying to solve these problems using an entirely different insanely hard process that never worked, and you made it so easy i thought it wouldnt work, but i was able to solve the problem correctly FINALLY because of you!!! thank you!!!!
thank you so much!! you’re my favorite youtube math tutor now!! please don’t stop using you’re platform to share and help the students like me who’s having a hard time understanding the lessons that are thought by our actual teachers. God bless you! xoxo
Nancy, your video helped so much and in addition it's so refreshing to see beauty as well as brains you picked my interest more then I can say... thank you for your help
Thanks Nancy! My online textbook is a copy paste job and it's horrible. Literally horrible. I don't know why they would try and show an example of a new idea and skip steps, or use a 1 which then become 1/2 for m and b. Can't make it any more confusing. This helped!

I think my Calc professor is to smart to teach calculus. He rambles on about things further along in the course before we understand the concepts that are infront of us. She is a very easy to follow and understand in comparison.

16:04 just in case anyone wants a bit of clarification on how she got √3 and how you can find it yourself, tan is equal to sin/cos. (And cot is cos/sin.) Ok, So to find tan of π/3, just do sin(π/3) over cos(π/3) Use your unit circle (or look for that awesome, old video on youtube on how to memorize the unit circle) and you'll see sin(π/3) = √3/2 cos(π/3) = 1/2 (as you are shown in the video) so divide the two... or even better, multiply one by the reciprocal of the other. √3/2 times 2/1. The twos cancel out and you're left with √3
thank you so much, Nancy!! I was forgetting a lot of these things and my uni prof was overcomplicating something I already learned in high school haha.
Thank you very much for saving me from my math teacher who gives speech through zoom at a lightning pace and says you have already learnt in 2nd and high school so he wouldn't mention again, which is so annoying.
can you do a video on logarithmic differentiation? BTW YOU'RE AMAZING! I was so confused until your videos and now it's simple and makes complete sense.
I love how she speaks slowly and gives multiple examples. It's almost like she knows I'm a moron and yet she does not judge me.
A true teacher. 😂
shes judging u silently
HAHAHHAHA hilarious comment
I feel you bro
lmao this comment made my day
Definite life saver. I basically have three Calc teachers, NancyPi, Kahn Academy...and my professor.
And the Organic Chemistry Tutor

Ugh, you're a lifesaver. I've watched your videos and understand more than everything my professor has provided combined. Thank you!
Going to have finals tomorrow, finally I understood this topic, thank you for making these videos to help students
She is a very dedicated teacher she doesn't want the students to miss even the infinitecimal valuable information.
I just wanted to say thank you Nancy. I am not sure why my professor made this so unnecessarily hard. You are the Math Goddess.
You won’t get a clearer explanation than Nancy P’s demo! Well done !
I learned more in this video than I did in 3 weeks of college calculus. Thank you, u saved my grades 😂😊
