I am not joking when I say that you are the reason I have a degree today. I was never the “smart” kid in school. I was about ready to drop out because I just couldn’t figure things out in even the basic math classes. Your videos are the reason I did not have to drop out. I remember watching these back in 2013. I was eventually able to transfer to a university and now I have a stable career.
I don’t think you will ever realize how big of an impact you’ve had on my life, and I’m sure many others like me.

Had another funny to share with you. So I have a really strange story telling way of teaching factoring by grouping. Yesterday I told the kids that we were going to watch you teach it so that they could see a normal teacher teach it since there's no way they'll get someone in high school teaching it like I do and I don't want them to be at a disadvantage. So I pull up your Berry method video. As you are surfing across the screen my kids are laughing at me saying, "Yea, way to pick a normal teacher!"
Thanks for the excellent teaching, and the laugh.

I almost decided to stop going to college because I was lost and did not remember anything algebra related. I felt if I could not get past week one in an algebra course how was I going to get a degree. I am in week two and our instructor has used this video as a resource to what we will be working on this week. Watching you have fun with math and being able to hear the questions from your students ( which are the same questions I have ) and you give and show the explanations has given me a new feeling of " I can do this " I have now subscribed to your channel ... I understand your pain, but great Math teachers aren't paid any more than poor ones. Thus, there is NO incentive for great teachers to teach and results in an obvious undersupply of good teachers. The worst thing you can do is to expect College Professors to teach rigorously and effectively for most of the students.
      Remember:

Because when you go into a job interview, you can't say "Hey I watched yaymath, hire me please!" In this world you need certification, and you're mostly paying for that because like you said some professors are lacking in delivering education standards.

I like how he actually got it right by not putting the +/- in on this line:
    sqrt((x-5)^2) = sqrt(43)
Some videos on UA-cam would put a +/- in front of the sqrt(43) which is false.
It's true on the line after though:
    x-5 = +/- sqrt(43) as shown in video above.
