  • This guided practice goes through a precise and thorough scan through the parts of the body with the intention of unifying the experience of the body as one whole field of sensation. You will begin by setting the posture, bringing forward the intention of benefit to all beings, and then imagining your field of support. Then you will gradually move attention through each part of the leg, then integrating this as an awareness of the whole leg, then continuing in the same way for the other leg, the torso, both arms, and the neck and head, finally reaching an awareness of the whole body at once. Finally you will rest in a sense of this whole integrated awareness, from the skin to the marrow of the bones, the whole field of the body. For fans of yoga nidra, TMI, and Rob Burbea-style energy body practice.
