    This was my first video to meditate. I started yesterday afternoon.
    I'm already shocked at the results. I have horribly severe depression, and I always feel suicidal...
    But after meditating along with your videos, I actually do not feel sad anymore. Today I felt stressed after work, so I mediated when I got home. I felt wonderful. Like never before. I like how it isn't really me escaping from my problems. But it's me finding peace within myself, and feeling relaxed with who I am.
    I just want to say thank you. The fact you provide this for us for free... I feel like a thief!😂
    But, seriously, thank you. Your channel is already saving me.

    I’m recovering from Covid. These symptoms and staying in isolation have really negatively affected my mental health the past week… after listening to this, I feel less tense, the knot in my tummy is gone, and I actually have a smile on my face.
    I suffer from anxiety and lately my PTSD symptoms have been horrible… I feel so calm right now even though I have a million assignments due by Wednesday.
    Anyway, thank you so much for sharing and I’ll be back again tomorrow!

    first time here. Just heard about this kind of meditation about an hour ago. I completely lost feeling of my hands They didn't fall asleep or anything, they just disappeared. My thoughts were attacking me, and belittling me about how I was somehow failing. I pushed passed those, and kept on focusing on the sound, and how relaxed I was. I am being diagnosed for Depression/Anxiety, and I am hoping to start feeling better about myself through your services. Thank you.

I just did 10 minutes with you and suddenly I started to see colours moving around eyes closed, goosebumps all over my body and lost of body feeling. When in college, many years ago, my mind was racing; too busy to quiet my mind. 30 years later I tried again. I was shocked to discover my quiet mind!
      It's an age thing. As we become familiar with our minds, life changes for the better. Persist in all ways possible. Psychoanalysis
      gave me much insight; meditation can give us similar insights! Question everything, except Meditation. Best wishes!

    I've been attempting Transcendental Meditation/Vedic Meditation for like a month now. Obviously there is a whole host of different ideas and advice on how it should be done. Nothing seems to come close to this video for me! I love the relaxation session at the beginning, and the noise seems to fulfil the same role as a mantra; but I always end up feeling like I use effort to silently 'say' the mantra in my mind. I don't have that problem with the 'sound' in the video. Love it!

    Thanks. I have been practicing this medication for more than a month now. I am not too sure but I think it is being helpful to me. I am the kind a person who worries a lot. I have to medication for anxiety sometimes. Also I am taking medication for high blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol. However since starting to meditate twice a day for the 20 minutes, once in morning and evening I honestly think this has an effect on me. I take my medications less often now and feel more relax. The best part of these sessions for me is the vibration sound. It helps me to focus so I concentrate more on my meditation. My mind is full of garbage because I am not young so I will lose my concentration at times. I hope in time as I practice more I will improve. Thanks again.

    My first time here and with ANY kind of meditation. Throughout i felt, like a heaviness on my chest. But stayed calm, as I knew I was indeed still breathing lol. My hands seemed to disappear, almost like i forgot they were there. I kept feeling a small pain in my left ankle, like the tiniest little annoyance, which i acknowledged was there, but ignored (I was sitting in a chair). By the second half, I was seeing these BEAUTIFUL flowing colors doing an ebb and flow of blue and yellows. Then every so often, directly in the middle of those colors flowing, i seen a wee little tiny white "bird" looking figure that would flutter a moment and be sucked into the blue and yellow. Made me smile. Then just when I thought, awe, where did it go, is it coming back? It would appear for just a moment (the tiny white bird). Towards the end, the yellow flowing disappeared and just the blue remained surrounded by black, ebb and flow. No more bird. And as the "sound" started to lower, the blue disappeared and only an ebb and flow of a black sorta "smoky line" was diagonally moving across, what i would describe as my "normal" sight when my eyes are just simply closed. The absolute WILDEST thing I've ever experienced. Also, holy COW, I could not believe how FAST 15 mins or so went by during all of that. It felt like maybe 5 mins? WILD lol. I'll def be doing this again!

    This vibration sound is so comforting. It reminds me of when I was a young child. I used to lean over our old washing machine while it was on the spin cycle because I loved the loud sound it made as it vibrated. That little nostalgia is just a nice, small side benefit for me. My mind wasn't perfectly quiet during this meditation, but it was much, much calmer than it normally is and it was far easier for me to quickly focus back on the sound once a thought did enter my mind. I'm sold on your knowledge, your manner of teaching, etc. from this video and others I've seen from you. I just enrolled in your full meditation course today and look forward to getting started. Thank you, sir.

    This was the first time for me trying transcendence meditation and I did enjoy it. I experienced the feeling of flying above what seemed like a hellish backdrop. I saw myself carry a large wand type tool and there were people below which I sensed were inflicted but I did not feel able to help. I came upon a caven/cave where there were many crystals around me and I saw myself meditating in the same position I physically was and stayed there like that until the mediation was over. I do feel very relaxed now and that I did something good for my wellbeing.

    Thank you so much for this video and for the others explaining about the copy right, etc. the last year or so I’ve been trying to find my purpose and find medication free ways for f healing my body and mind. After doing some research about different styles I decided tm sounded like the best fit for me. I did a search for guided tm and the video it took me to was mostly a sales pitch. When they said the part about only being able to get your mantra from a certified teacher, I smelled a pyramid scheme.
    Your method worked quite well for me. I did have what seemed like just a few seconds of what I would call bliss. I felt tingly and happy. I had a hard time hearing a sound because there were birds chirping outside but I ended up imagining a glass feather that was floating and making a chiming noise. It seemed to work. Again thank you so much!

    Thank You. I too have questions about TM and why some videos like the ones that mention the yogi Maharishi say that to learn TM properly you need to be instructed by a trained TM instructor over 4 one on one sessions each about 1 1/2 hours. After that they give you a customized mantra based on your individual characteristics. What is your opinion of this?

      @raphaelreiter  4 роки тому +8

      Hi Leonardo, I have some videos where I talk about the Tm course specifically and reasons you should or should not do it. Check it out it might be useful information for you. In any case I have a very divided opinion on tm. It is a very tight organisation that trade marked a very ancient and easy to learn technique. But the technique itself is really good. I try to get away as far as possible from the organisation and focus on what really matters: the meditation. This is why I have designed alternatives that use some of its principles

    Day 1: Nothing happened for me but I’ll be back tomorrow
    Day 2: I tried it again with a clear mind with the lights off and headphones on. This meditation has felt different from the other meditations I’ve done while sun-gazing. I felt numb kinda numb in a nice way and I felt my head bobbing up and down without me doing anything but breathing. I still need to find a good position for me cause my back feels kinda strained afterwards but I’ll be here tomorrow.
    Day 3: I felt my head bobbing up and down like day 2, it wasn’t that I was sleepy it’s that I wasn’t actively trying to hold my head up. I probably should’ve done this before I sleep cause I feel incredibly relaxed afterwards. I’ll be here tomorrow to go at it again. Have an amazing day/night.
    Day 3: I did this meditation twice today-
    First time, it was as the sun was starting to set I layed out a pillow and did the usual except I was outside in the sun, it was really nice and I’m definitely gonna do it again
    Second time- wasn’t that great, I had a lot on my mind and I caught myself thinking every time I breathed in, hopefully this doesn’t continue. Have a beautiful day/night

      you need to remove your expectations for anything to happen -- because you are projecting yourself in the future. you need to be in the present moment with the state of mind: whatever happens, or doesnt happen, is ok. and from that point, practice every day

    I learned TM in 1975 when I was a student. That time we were told that the substantial amount of money that we had to pay ( that time only f 200,-)was justified by the fact thatTM is a precious gift to yourself and that Western people value things in terms of money. Well: for me TM is indeed a gift! It is so simple but yet so profound, that it is worth paying for it ! It helps me to sleep, to release tension and to think clear.

    • @raphaelreiter
      @raphaelreiter  4 роки тому

      But what do you say to people that cannot afford this gift to themselves? I find this argument a bit selfish. I couldn't afford it before. Now I can and I am grateful. In any case, I dont see why the tm organisation makes it impossible for everyone to learn, and to teach.

    Sometimes when I am breathing there were moments where I felt as if I didn’t want to take the next inhale and in that moment my mind would panic ‘what if I can’t breathe anymore? I’m so messed up I can’t even let go to have my breathing be done naturally by my body 😳🤔🥺but in using your technique I quickly discovered that to breathe out longer than I breathed in had me pushing just a bit to continue the exhale and in doing so that was diaphragmatic breathing which upon the end of the exhale caused a natural autonomic pull back of my diaphragm to start my next inhale without me having any ‘control’ over that. Secondly, the instruction to let my head fall like a rock with gravity was another thing I exactly needed to relax. (I’m enjoying the peacefulness of just being instead of ‘being in control’)

      Look up meditation trust online. It’s not part of the Transcedental Meditation movement but the founder learnt/trained with Maharishi. (Which is expensive). Also look up Deepak Chopra.
      There’s also info on you tube.
      The guided meditation here is not TM. With TM you have a mantra that you recite silently.
      I learnt TM with the Meditation Trust group nearly 10years ago and it’s the best thing I ever did. Also I tried many other types (mindfulness) with a Buddhist centre.
      Your journey of discovery has just begun and you’ll find what works for you.
