I was sent a Mei Liang (Paul Rubens) watercolour set to try out - so I did a few plein air sketches and a studio study looking through my studio window.

Looks like a very decent set of watercolours - the Chinese and Japanese make great watercolours generally. And of course, you make great use of them; you're not a watercolour painter, you say - but you sure COULD be, however frustrating you find having to wait for washes to dry. Chinese White is of course very weak on its own - I might want to supplement it with Titanium, but for the danger of turning it into gouache ...
Good to see Basil again - have you ever painted him, I wonder?
