Smaller footprint, harder to hit, takes a lot less damage than the 325a's extremely bulky wings 3. If you can only have one ship, the 325a is the best one, but it's not the best light fighter or the best all-round early game ship.

Bought the Aurora package with Squad 42. Didn't even try the Aurora, upgraded to the 325 before I installed the game. I knew i wanted a 300. What sold me on the 325 over the 300 and 315 is the superior speed, maneuverability and armor, not so much the firepower. The 350r is just too expensive for a starter ship, The smaller cabin with fewer amenities sealed the deal. The superior firepower was just the cherry on top. The only things the 315 has going for it over the 325 are the cargo capacity and Hurston-looking paintjob that would be perfect for my Char's RP of winning the ship in a lottery. I suppose once they become relevant the jump drive will also be an asset. Tractor beam might be useful in unexpected ways. Even without the missile bay it's a cold killer. I'm running either Dominace or Attrition loadouts on gimbal pucks. When the missile bay and targeting system are online I'm looking forward to really seeing what this ship can do.
I was a 325a owner for about 6 months. I loved it since it has good fire power, inside functions and quite agile. However I finally changed to other ships. One reason is its size, which is quite big compare to arrow and gladius and be easily hit. Also, although it has a decent hull hp, its wings are quite vulnerable and could be destroyed easily. I could knock out two or three size 1 ships in AC when driving arrow and gladius but hardly get chances to defeat arrow or gladius when driving 325a. In the end I upgraded my 325a for a better fighting experience. But I still like 325a.

You got decent speed, huge QT fuel tank. Interior space, tough as nails, it's now my "box mission" ship, as well as my combat mission ship.
I would say that the Reliant Tana is one of the best sub-$100 light fighters as well. It has the firepower of a Super Hornet, 20x S2 missiles, 2x beds, 2x armor racks, 2x guns racks, a shoilet, and 1 SCU of cargo. It also has one of the best cockpit views in the game. The cons are it is a big target and slow to turn.

I never enjoyed the 325a for combat because its such a delicate ship, but its quite maneuverable which made it a nice ship to go from point A to point B.
@@prinastripes1589 I got most of the smaller ships because I couldn't really pick as I like them all. It's a tough pick which is why I got the Avenger Titan/315p/and others. I guess it comes down to personal preference?
Any ship in any game can have missiles. One of the crazy things in this game is, they are actually "physically" there all the time! I once bugged through the ship and found myself inside that missile rack.
Was looking to do something useful with my 315P, as there will surely be other, more suitable ships for exploration. Seems like a good upgrade, this one.
the 325 was great during the Xeno event. the extra 4 s3 missiles made it better for combat than my titan. But the cargo on the titan gave it a better advantage, being able to fly up to the wrecked Starfarer and load packages. tho the harbinger with its 3 s5 missiles s5 gun could load a beating on the IDRIS. And the Harbinger multi-crew, with being able to load packages in a pinch. should have made it a winner. with its slow turning speed, I kept coming back to the 325. I really love this ship to add to your cons tho, I would say the ladder to get in the ship. Id prefers something like the stairs on the 100i series. With the ladder not for entering a cockpit seat, it feels clumsy. And not at all the elegance of an Origin ship.
I suggest you recommend a fixed loadout for ships because as of 3.9 they work great with a bit of practice also auto gimbal got nerfed so it doesn't make much of a difference
@@JohnFromAccounting the speed of auto gimbals was nerfed in 3.9 also if you don't have the patience to train with fixed or manual gimbal you're better off mining or trading
I suck at combat ever since the game progressed beyond 2.6 cause I took a long break from the game, combat seems worse and use fixed weapons but I have to get use to both methods.
Great vid! It is a fun ship to fly in atmo. I don't own one, so my combat experience in this ship is very minimal but on paper it looks like it would be good agains NPCs
You have missed to mention the in built Will's Op Targeting System. Missile targetting was bugged as far I concerned, also I've read CIG is gonna work in this area (Missile operator mode) for the 3.11 release.
Excellent review. If I could only have 1 ship below $100 it would be the 325A. Before the Rework this ship had a. Afterburner speed of 1315 which was one of the fastest ships in the game, and when compared to the Arrow or Gladius at 1235, it made a huge difference, especially considering the size 4 gun, bed, and cargo space all for cheaper than the Arrow. At the time of the rework, they cut the afterburner speed to 1235. Same as most fighters. But recent figures I've seen (I can't swear to the accuracy) showed the 325 cut again to 1225, but the Arrow and Gladius were cut even slower. If anyone can post the afterburner speeds of those ships I'd be interested to see where they are at now.
Always a tough one vs the titan. 325 has the additional missile bay, is faster/more agile, and has a space toilet. Titan is more durable (losing a wing is less problematic) and can carry more cargo, including and a small vehicle like a tumbril ranger. Beyond that they're the same - the same external hardpoints and a bed. Same fuel capacity too.
@@vikingbear1487 "beyond that They are the same". By that, I'm saying that other than the differences I specified, including the agility. That said, a 325a will only fly rings around a poorly piloted avenger. The difference in agility isn't that big, and a good pilot will compensate by maintaining distance

man i wanna buy this game, keep searching and trying to talk my self into it then out of it. thanks for the video.
Games a mess mate these videos they put up on youtu e male it look great but actualy gameplay is buggy as hell I rock 2080ti can't even get 60 FPS at 1440 Medi setting lol only buy it to test it of you have spare money like i did
@@SJ-fj3jp every bit of what you said is true. I mean it’s a nice show piece, I can get behind the “project” and I like the PU but I don’t feel it was worth the money I spent on it. Should have waited for a free weekender! Maybe this can help someone though! 2070super 1440p it has its moments
Another great video thanks!
I never enjoyed the 325a for combat because its such a delicate ship, but its quite maneuverable which made it a nice ship to go from point A to point B.
Yeah. It has the firepower but tbh, what I prefer is at a traveling ship so I stuck with the 315p for more QT fuel and more cargo.
@@michaelbeleut6480 the 315p is nice! What about an avenger titan tho? Got the same weps as a 325a and a lil less cargo than the 315p
A little late but the 325a does in fact have an ejection system. I punched out of mine yesterday so I could claim it at port tressler.
the 325 was great during the Xeno event. the extra 4 s3 missiles made it better for combat than my titan.
I really love this ship
to add to your cons tho, I would say the ladder to get in the ship. Id prefers something like the stairs on the 100i series. With the ladder not for entering a cockpit seat, it feels clumsy. And not at all the elegance of an Origin ship.
My general runabout. I also like the i315
I just noticed in the Vid, "Cutlass Black's QTF capacity" when you recommended the QT drive, lol 😂 - time 11:16
I do like the 300 series, that's why I got a 350r.
I suggest you recommend a fixed loadout for ships because as of 3.9 they work great with a bit of practice also auto gimbal got nerfed so it doesn't make much of a difference
Where did auto-gimbal get nerfed? Fixed is still too hard to use as of 3.9.
Trying a laser repeater fixed load out, not sure if my accuracy has decreased but the increase damage output definitely made up for it :D
Hey, thanks man, I just bought this the other day and I was curious to what you'd suggest upgrading to. Cheers!
Np!
Agree. Love that ship.
Thanks for the video 👍
My pleasure!!
I loved this ship when i sae it before the rework and bot it shortly after the rework
That skin on the ship is eye candy, where should I look to get that skin?
Great vid! It is a fun ship to fly in atmo. I don't own one, so my combat experience in this ship is very minimal but on paper it looks like it would be good agains NPCs
lmao when you called the rear HDMI
😁
I might be mistaken, but I think it does have an ejection system.
You have missed to mention the in built Will's Op Targeting System. Missile targetting was bugged as far I concerned, also I've read CIG is gonna work in this area (Missile operator mode) for the 3.11 release.
yeah when yer using the belly missiles you have to aim yer ship at a 45 degree angle above your target as thats the angle the missiles are mounted
Brb gonna go build this exact ship. Gaaaah dang talk about a beaut.
Did something change since this video was published ? I cannot add a size 3 mantis GT220 to my front nose weapon of my 325a
Did you try adding a gimbal to the size 4 hard point?
fixed loadout working well now.
I vote for the andromeda
:P just a slight hint when speaking about the QT drive :P yo are doing Origin 325a review not Cutty Black :) Otherwise amazing video bro!
for those who are exceptionally bored, the review starts at 1:42 you're welcome
the last cargo part got me dead
Hi sub just picked up 300i in monarch paint , is it me or can I only get 6scu in cargo? Your one of the best technical reviewers out there dont stop.
You should have 8
Always a tough one vs the titan.
Not the same - 325 flies rings around the slow Titan
@@vikingbear1487 "beyond that They are the same". By that, I'm saying that other than the differences I specified, including the agility.
That said, a 325a will only fly rings around a poorly piloted avenger. The difference in agility isn't that big, and a good pilot will compensate by maintaining distance
can you change the cosmetics after you buy it in game or cash?
I've just subbed as your content is so detailed and enjoyable to watch. thanks bud.
Got rid of all my Fighters except my 325a and yea its optioned out lol. one of the best single seaters in the game.
