@@anferFFmax you are comparing a sub 100 ship to a ship that costs $260, of course it ant gonna compare. If I was going to pay that much I’d just get the 400i
@@Entity-hg7uu You gotta a point, but then you will be hanging around with a huge ship compared to the other two. What ships like the Vanguard offer is the QT drive of a larger ship with a size that is quite manageable. You can land it most everywhere, and the cost to run it won't be that much. I gotta check what the current call time are for each ship because to me that is a factor too. In fact, call time is one of the main reasons I loved the Nomad so much, you used to be able to call in under 3 minutes. I'm no sure how it is now. Gotta check what the call time is for the Vanguard and the 400i. I seen to recall the 300 series to have very long call times too.
@@anferFFmax I just put an atlas on and I can make it from mt to A18 and to loreville on one QT tank. The recall is 6 minutes, 2 with expedited claim. Great review as always! Quick word on the missile operator mode bug : it is a shared bug with the pledge store customizations, that is always fixed on the following patch to which you bought the 325a (either in-game or on the pledge store). In other words, when you purchase this ship, you have to wait until next patch to get the missile mode to work and the customization you paid for to show up properly. Which is a nice silver lining as those 4 size 3 missiles pack a punch for a light fighter!
Im just getting back into SC i was gifted a 325A with lifetime repairs in 2015. yet to try it got a coffee machine for interior. NO Coffee no Life haha Great review!
Love the review - as always. Just a note... the 300i series ships had their missile operator modes fixed back in Evocati (thankfully) so they're definitely functional again. After you mentioned that, I just went into Arena Commander in PTU to re-confirm. Definitely working again. Which makes this ship even more potent.
I love how clearly and efficiently you explain things, nothing worse than trying to get info on a ship and the content creator drones on and on. I love you ten minutes or less series, please keep doing them. As for the 325a, I have one as a loaner from another ship but i have the 315p from a package and I love it, it just seems like a gentlemans ship to me
I had one as my original pledge back in the day, throughout the years it must have gotten melted down and forgotten. I bought it back today with the original pledge package (a really sweet deal) as I decided to shake up my hangers and get some new ships. The Titan might be objectively better but it looks like a bent penguin.
I currently only have two ship; the 400i and 325a! Two amazing ships that take care of everything for me. Bummer the HUD doesn’t work if you have customised it when ordering.
Imho Titan still wins because he don't loose his wings so easily, and after all Penguin can fly. 300 series after loosing part of a wing is in 90% dead. But You're right about interrior. This is huge selling point.
I really enjoy the 325a but if I'm doing dedicated ship bounties or combat beacons (if/when they come back) I usually hop in other dedicated fighters of choice, so I've since downgraded to 315p for overall utility. That extra size four nose gun is really missed though.
Prior to MM there was always the question of like "what the hell is even an interceptor supposed to be" in a game where hornets were jousting at 600m/s, this ship was too large and too undergunned to have a role in combat, but now that everyone else has been slowed much further down, it's a competitive package. I assume the titan will probably get toned down since it's never been advertised as an interceptor, it's a "light freight".
I have a love/hate relationship with it. Love the ship, hate the wings being easily blown off.😁I have a 325a loaner however & though I prefer the cargo of the 315, I can still load this one for some pewpew.
Wow! The 325A seams like the best all around starter ship I have seen so far. This and the Titan, but the 325A has a much better cockpit view and high end styling. Seems like the difference between a Cadillac and a Honda civic, LOL
Yep, its the look they were going for, the Titan always looked rugged & utalitarian but kinda old and outdated so its plentyful on the surplus market, the 325a looks like a lower level executive would fly through possibly dangerous space on the way to his next posting. I got it back in the day because it had the firepower of the Gladius & Titan, but with more style and it had a bed + closet & toilet so it made sense to be a ship that could fly a while without having to stop. However if the wing issue never gets fixed i might melt it for a Gladius, as it is more streamlined for combat, depending how these ships evolve before release.
After backing in 2017 with a reliant core I played on and off till around 2021. At that time my first ship buy was a 325a and a Freelancer Max. I love the 325a for teaching me how to properly dogfight. I just hope that armour adds a little more health to the wings. Once the wings are blown off you will lose that gun as well. When I bought my 325a I checked all the boxes (GO blue paint GO). Since I also upgraded the weapons and components I found myself needing to downgrade the quantum drive so I can properly run missions. I love the back boost and use that to dogfight as well. However once you customize your ship fully it will cost 110 plus. At that price it is no longer "worth the money". I still believe that the two best starting -packs are the Avenger Titan and the 315p. The 315p is for the person who will never want to PvP and will want to run to be safe. Plus then using your coffee maker and food will make more sense in the long trips in the 315p. Now that I've got other ships like the F7A I no longer find myself using this ship. Just something for everyone to think about before fully upgrading the 325a. Have a great day o7
Crazy to upgrade the base ship by spending extra real cash. Just get the base model and add any free upgrades then upgrade in game. Spend that extra cash on a whole extra ship.
@@SingleTrack66 I drank the koolaid and my top hat confirms that. I also will warn now to not upgrade the weapons and instead put your $30 in your pocket
The only thing I miss about my 325a and my 315p is the double butterfly doors. Other than that I just love the new aesthetic. Got the Cobalt paint on both. And that sun/moon roof... Phew. 😍 I had an Avenger as well, but I ended up melting it for something else. But I kept my 2 300 series. And about the 325a specifically, I used to replace the 2xS2 missile launchers on the wings for a single S3 missile launcher. That way I could use all 3 launchers for a big volley (assuming you have the same missile type on all launchers). Something the other 2 ships can't do.
silver paint blue trim, love my spec lol. They actually sent me the wrong ship at first. Very real world experience lol. So I kind of liked the whole process after I had the right ship. Thanks for the extra size 3 idea.
I noticed in the pledge store that this ship has three customisation loadouts and also option to add coffee machine and food machines. Would be good to have run through the customizations. Perhaps you can do a video on that?
In a lot of ways I miss the old-style hull of rhe 300 series, mostly because of the split upper wing on the new version, Given gow close together and how unsupported the upper wing is, you'd think in atmo the airflow over both would case the upper wing to flutter and vibrate to the point it would tear off.
I just did a deep dive comparison between the 325 ($70) The Syulen (75) and the Gladius ($90). With fully upgraded guns and missiles the 325 is the best by far in my opinion. You can upgrade the Gladius missiles to 37,000 damage and get it's DPS up to 2200, with the 325a you can upgrade it to 33,000 missiles, and 2,600 dps. But the 325 is faster, nicer interior, and better for cargo. So if its, faster, better cargo, better dps, same shield, slightly less qt distance slightly less missile damage, I'd go with the 325 over gladius. Plus it's $15 cheaper on the pledge store. On top of all that though, the 325 along with the 315 and 300 are the only ships in the pledge store that are customizable before you buy them. Custom colors, interior things, and custom packages that can take the 325 up to over $100. Personally, I'd go 325 firsts, then Syulen, then Gladius between those three. They Syulen comes stacked with standard features like 12 ignite 2 missiles right out of the box, and a shocking amount of QT distance. It's like 1100 GM. I upgraded to a beacon QT drive and still get like 250 GM, it's nuts. The 325 and Gladius with Beacon QT drives get like 36GM
the 325a is a great fighter and it'll only get better the more star citizens combat, player status/life and engineering systems evolve the things the 325 have over the avenger are its it interior and the space it has to store the food and drink and onboard amenities that make staying out in the field easier, and once components are in that underside scu space will be valuable for spare components and rmc, let alone spare ballistic ammo once thats a thing. and the customization just perfection, you should see the 300 series in the metallic paints i have one in metallic blue and it just looks amazing.
TLDR: Great ship, but needs work; disappointed such an old ship isn't gold standard yet. This ship was my first pledge in 2013, and while I love flying around in it, I'm disappointed that a) the increased ship armor hasn't been fully implemented yet, so its only as strong as the other 300 ships for armor, b) its such an OG ship but they have yet to gold standard it, and c) where's my "multi-targetting missiles"? I really feel like Origin 300 owners have been forgotten by the devs in favor of "Hey look we made a shiny NEW ship." I get that they "need" to sell new ships in order to fund the game (as if they haven't gotten enough funding), but c'mon. Start with the older ships, give them the gold standard treatment with every new ship released. That said as well I haven't really flown many other ships, but this feels like a great daily driver with some teeth on it. Just don't lose the wings or else you are probably about to meet the ground very quickly; while I don't expect that to change with beefed up armor, having a bit more time between "shields down" and "wing gone and you are in a spiral" would be nice. Possibly skill issue on my part there, but still. One fun thing I did with it is to downsize the wing missiles to S1, so you have EIGHT S1s total and the four S3s. Worked pretty well for PvE, unless you want to be out there for an extended time (assuming all lasers still works? Been a while since I played). With how the ship currently is in-game, and despite how much I absolute LOVE the way the ship looks and feels, I honestly would probably recommend the Titan over it. However, I'm not getting rid of mine since I have the Sage Green paint that you cannot get anymore.
Evenlease is terrified of space toilets
I love how clear you bring the information over
Nomad fliers share the Origin pilots' frustration about missiles being actually imaginary, instead of imaginecessary.
I melted mine for the f7c I think it was a good idea.
By far my favorite ship and daily driver
competes with the titan losing 2 SCU for a more luxury feel, and the custimzation is the chefs kiss on top
Nah, small QT is bad for a daily driver. The best would be something like a Warden
