- The Shuffle 2 or my "tactical box cutter" is a great edc blade at a budget price. With great ergonomics and decent materials this knife performs well and looks cool while doing it. It's surprisingly smooth and offers some multitool functionality.
I was impressed with this little guy. Good backup knife
Definitely!
Nice knife...been wanting to get the KSII...just haven't picked one up yet. When I do get one I want this color. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! You gotta go with the desert tan right!
My first knife was a tip down carry so I've just gotten used to carrying knives tip down so that's what I prefer. I do want to start trying out tip up though. And I agree, the blade is too short for a tanto to be useful, but I can still see some utility in it. Nice review!
+Cyclone Outdoors Very coincidental, my first knife was tip down and that's how I carried for a long time. Once I realized that tip up might be better I kind of had to force myself to break the habit, but now there's no going back. Thanks for watching!
Yeah, tip down is much more secure. I've had bad times with tip up coming open in my pocket. Never had any issue with point down.
The code above the blade steel at 0:21 is that the cereal number for that specific knife or a model code?
Good video! Subscribed.
Thank you!
how long does it takes to loosen up a bit? mine is really stiff and difficult to open. The pocket clip is really tight too. i really like the size though
Not long, id throw a T8 bit in the pivot, get it to where you want and Loctite it and it will be ready to go!
Just got a black Shuffle II for 10 bucks. Great little tool. I've used the bottle opener a ton already. What would be the advantage to a tip up carry?
Nice! that's a good deal. Tip up is just a little more convenient for most people I think. When you extract the knife out of your pocket, it is already in the position to be opened whereas tip down carry makes you rotate the knife in your hand before deploying it.
what size is the handle? I've got quite big hands so I would like a larger handle. thanks.
It's right around 4 inches. It's much more comfortable to use than the original shuffle, but is still rather small.
I have big hands but the shuffle 2 fits. The shuffle 1 I had difficulty holding it.
The only thing I like better on the Shuffle 1 is the pocket clip. The placement is ok, but the clip itself isn't as nice. Nice knife, nice overview.
I definitely agree with you there. Could you imagine the shuffle 2 with that clip? Home run for sure!
The screws holding my pocket clip in place broke and stuck inside it.
Wow! How is yours so smooth, my Shuffke two isnt even close to being that smooth
It's fairly smooth, I just think the detent was set up perfectly!
Mine doesn't close or open that easy. I think the main screw is a little tight..
Might have to loosen it up a hair. I'm sure its a T8 torx bit.
Matthew Reis if you use it a lil it gets easy mine was hard to now its easy
Same here. The liner lock is hard to press too. Not like my XCom and Junkyard Dog 2
Kind of reminds me of the Kershaw Brookside..another blackwashed tan flipper, very inexpensive and unusually smooth. Little known flipper that I believe is a Dick's Sporting Goods exclusive
+Pete Mack They do look similar. I hadn't even heard of that one before, just googled it. The crazy thing is that the Shuffle 2 is on Teflon washers and it's still that smooth.
What is a shuffle knife for?
small edc blade, with bottle opener
good video but u didnt try it to see how much its sharp ....
#BladeOps just came out with an OD green one for $22.95. plus shipping.
I saw that! What a sexy color
William Young I got mine in od green for $28.00 at a show an I love it
I just received this knife a few days ago. I like it mostly. But the one I received, had a shit edge. Whoever made that secondary bevel was either drunk or didn't know shit around the shop. I guess you can't complain for a made in China knife and obviously cheap. If it hadn't had that flaw, it would've been perfect. I'll remake that edge myself later on.
Mine had a bit of a messed up bevel as well but the overall sharpness was pretty good. Definitely see what you're saying. For 17 bucks or so I was pretty happy with the purchase. Good idea! Thanks for the comment man
yea neither does mine
I love Kershaw.lill pass on this one. 😒
