- This episode in the restoration progress it is really obvious that this never was gonna be a fast project as like the first intenions were.
Nothing comes easy on restoring a 90s car and making it back to OEM+ look
and feel as how i like it (The Nonstandar way).
The order in removing things was and is just not the best way and that keeps biting me as the build goes on.
I think finnaly everthing is out now and we can go on with the body work.
And make some plans on the rest and start cleaning/restoring the other parts and bits.
Now go and and give this restorating some speed !

Little tip for that old brittle plastic. Hit it with a heat gun, and get it nice and warm so it's more pliable before you remove it. You can also throw a space heater in the car, and shut the doors, and let it run for a couple hours before you start to tear into it.

Great tip, luckily I saw your post on the channel. These interior finishes are really terrible to remove without breaking them. Plastic finishes all become brittle over time. I went to remove these parts from my car. And guess what! On the left side all the clips were broken. So I saw your tip and used it on the right side and managed to remove all the finishes without breaking them. Thanks a lot 👍 for the tip. Thank you for sharing with us.

Had its British twin a 1990 Vauxhall 16V Astra GTE loved that car but not as much as another Red top i replaced it with a Cavalier J reg 1992 GSi 2000 . My brother also had an 85 C reg Astra GTE 1.8 followed by a 89 Astra GTE 2.0 .

Your not kidding sold its 30 years ago since I sold my 16V Astra GTE reason I remember as I sold it at 5 years old, feel old now !!!

I just got a 1982 rabbit diesel and I want to make it a 1.8 t what would be better awd or fwd
Not sure what is better, but easier to build is the fwd lots of welding involved to get it awd.
