Restoration of a unique Opel Kadett GSI Part EVERYTHING went more crazy..

What a week it was again on the retoration of the Opel Kadett GSI !
Even the floor panels don`t fitt.... everything needs to be adjusted as seems normal in this project !
But i think just go on and keep doing your best will take you a long way.
By the end one panel will fitt !

Random Kadett E fact: The different tunnel that you call the early tunnel, was actually the RHD chassis (Ireland/UK) that was used right up to 1992. All models from 1.2 to 2.0 8v had the gear selector that went down through the tunnel (to say Hi to the exhaust pipe). Only the 16v models had the selector rod that went through the bulkhead/firewall like your chassis. So the floor pans you got seem to be for 1.2...or...RHD models.

Oh did not know about that in the UK over here the 1.2 indeed was like that and the older models. They upgraded the interior for more models overhere and then most models went to the above shift.

OH oh time always runs way too fast with projects like this and you think it's easy but in the end it takes 2-3 times as long!
Unfortunately, I know that too.
But it's important and I speak from experience.
The project must not stand still, otherwise it will easily come under the wheels and start to rust - see also Aeromagic Golf3 becomes Golf5 Cabrio. So don't despair and even if it's sometimes crazy, just keep working because even small steps are important.

Thanks , yes i know thats why the plan is to keep working on it, and try to keep everything protected. At least one day a week should keep the project alive!
